Legal Scholar, Jonathan Turley, posted on X that a trial is underway against five Stanford students who are charged with vandalism during an anti-Israel protest in 2024. Apparently there was some significant property damage.
A defendant, German Gonzalez, declared “ it’s ridiculous for me or for any of us co-defendants to be accused of property damage”
Turley comments that it’s an important case to maintain the line between speech and conduct.
It just seems to me that the Community Organizers and Activists continue to expand their speech rights conduct to rioting, assault, property damage, restricting normal traffic flow and vehicle movement.
This expanded conduct that has become acceptable to many is what caused the recent shooting in Minneapolis. They more you let people break laws and go crazy “protesting” the worse it gets.

Many legal experts seem to ignore and forget …. US Federal, State and Local Legal Codes (Laws) already define “how far one can go with respect to ALL our “civil rights”.
When the equation you provide hits “Civil Disobedience” the line defined by those laws and codes has been reached. Even “peaceful” breakers of the law risk being subject to the law when they cross the line. “Civil Rights” at that point cross over to be those of the criminal.
Legislators set and adjust the limits (laws).
Executives uphold and enforce the limits (laws).
Judges determine if limits are properly met or decide if the defined limits need to be adjusted.
The definition of the “limits” is set by Congress, State Legislators and Local Municipal Authorities … per the US Constitution. The executive members of the governments Federal to Local are sworn by oath to uphold those limits.

Swart said there is “a lot of misinformation online” about paid protesters. His company hires people for “peaceful and law-abiding protest,” and are focused on “persuasion.”
In an interview with Fox’s Lawrence Jones about how protesters are paid, Swart said it is usually $100 to $200, but said different circumstances determine the amount. For instance, if the weather is really cold “or a left-wing demonstration in rural Mississippi, that would be a higher rate, because finding and identifying those people is harder and that might be a more tense environment.”
He said his company, as Michael Jordan so astutely commented about how Republicans buy sneakers, too, also works for conservatives. “We work for the left and the right, but always on the side of common sense and generally on the side of the underdog. So we, a lot of conservatives, use our service because, a lot of times, there’s a case where hippies with a trust fund are out there protesting, but conservatives are more likely to have jobs and families, so actually they require a little bit more of an incentive to turn out to a demonstration.”
But Swart’s company will not work for everyone who wants to hire it. There was a request for a nationwide “Good Trouble Lives On” protests on July 17, to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the death of civil rights leader John Lewis.
While speaking with NewsNation, Swart said, “Interests aligned with the organizers of the July 17th movement have approached us. In fact, we rejected an offer that is probably worth around $20 million. He said he had a concern about violence and thought a protest would be ineffective.”
The way Swart originally gained attention was by offering “celebrity experience” services such as “fake paparazzi and hired fans,” primarily in Los Angeles. Who knew? I wonder if he hires Swifties?
Swart worked as a journalist for the Patch network owned by AOL before founding his company.

I don’t think so. Several courts have ruled against the domestic use of LRADs for crowd control, protests, etc going back as far as 2018. Also, many cities etc have banned it.

Recently, we have experienced the latter…it makes it more challenging to be patient.
Well now, it would seem that for the 1st time in anyone’s living memory North Carolina has more registered Republican voters than Democrat registered voters!! For over a century D’s have always held a large advantage in registered voters, up to 800,000! 20 years ago they outnumbered R’s by 616,000; 10 years ago 671,000; on January 3rd of this year R’s actually out number D’s by 4,802 registered voters!
The question remains – Will they get out and vote in the 2026 March Primary and November General elections? In 2022, the last midterm election, only 20% of all registered voters bothered to vote!
Now even though NC has historically always been heavily tilted toward Democrat in voter registrations, at least in Presidential Elections, the state has voted for R Presidents for all but 2 (Carter in 1996 and Obama in 2008-by just .32%-only 14,174 votes) since 1968.
Before this latest 56 year period that held 15 Presidential Elections NC had only voted R for President 1 time(Hoover in 1928) in the time frame of the previous 88 years (1876-1964). In all those years 1876-2024 Democrat voters have always outnumbered Republican voters by a large margin. And in the past 56 year period the D voters have always outnumbered the R voters.
So how did R candidates win 13 out of 15 of the last elections here in NC? The simple answer is that the majority of registered ‘Unaffiliated’ voters have always countered the D’s and tipped the vote to the R candidate. Wish I could say the same for local, state, and other federal offices, but alas, I can not–those are always a mixed bag.
Anywho…For all ya’ll here in NC-the sample ballots for the March 3rd Primary are now up on the NC Board of Elections site. So don’t forget to check to your own registration to make sure you are registered and that same page will have your sample ballot for the Primary. Early voting starts February 12th.

I see Scott Presley working hard to get rid of RINOS. He is currently working to primary the Indiana state Republicans that voted against redistricting. More people like him across the country in certain key states would help.

The MEK group combined revolutionary Marxism with a reinterpretation of Shia Islam to advocate for a democratic, socialist Iran.
The MEK engaged in clandestine operations, including assassinations and bombings, targeting the Shah’s regime and U.S. military personnel in Iran.

He is still on the DHS payroll and his medical costs for the incident are covered. Why does he need a fundraiser? IMO it is a slap in the face to other ICE agents who get spat on, screamed at, and physically attacked daily. The thought is probably going through some of their minds…gee if I shoot someone and make it look like self-defense I can become a millionaire too. It’s not right.

SWAT teams had to be brought in to evacuate his family and belongings.
You know how the left operates…they LIKE to hurt women and children…and would have no problem torching homes with families inside.
