An officer in Ohio was just acquitted for the same thing. They’d stopped a pregnant woman for shop lifting, they ordered here out of the vehicle, she refused, put the car into gear and started towards he officer standing in front of the car, he shot and killed her.
The pretenders are once again pretending this is strange or unusual. Its really not that hard to understand. You do not drive a vehicle towards a LEO, especially when they have already ordered you to get out of said vehicle. A vehicle IS a deadly weapon when you point it a another human being and put your foot on the gas.
Same reason you don’t move or put your hands in your pockets, or point things – anything – at a LEO. They see a threat they will neutralize it. You only FO if you FA.

I know this is true because my state has had a few officer involved shootings and I’ve been following the cases.

There was a time where a sports player, coach or executive would be disciplined on the spot for straying into anything political.

But that didn’t stop Seahawks coach Pete Carroll or Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson from holding a press conference to denounce police officers as generally “racist” and not very smart to boot!
When the actual video of the incident was released a few days later and the officers’ stories were completely corroborated, did Bennett, Carroll, or Wilson publicly (or even privately) apologize? Nope!
Why anyone listens to any of these people is beyond me!!

Recently I was speaking with my best friend from high school: he is a doctor in the Cincinnati area. He was reminding me of a fact of American life in the realm of healthcare, which has been around now for decades.
Most Americans do not consciously realize that there are thousands of people breaking the law every day by practicing Medicine without a license.
These people are, in fact, paid to practice Medicine without a license.
They are Health-Insurance Bureaucrats.
I have written about my friend’s flight from The Medical Establishment before, so some of this might seem familiar.
Some years ago he became so disgusted by Insurance Bureaucrats telling him that e.g. Treatment X was not warranted, that the patient did not need more treatment and had to be discharged from the hospital, that his diagnosis was “probably” wrong and so no payments for the medicine would be given, etc., that he went completely independent, to a cash-only practice.
These bureaucrats make thousands of medical decisions every day…and – most probably – they have no M.D. degrees, they have never worked as nurses or aides, and they have NEVER seen or examined the patient, whose care they are micromanaging via their control over the money to pay for the patient’s care!
A better description of a “Surreal Reality” would be hard to find!
Another layer of Medical Surreality involves the lawyers!
When my friend was still visiting patients in hospitals, he was checking on one of his hospitalized patients on a specific day.
Some months later, he receives a subpoena that he is a defendant in a Medical Malpractice case involving the death of a woman…whom he had never seen, never heard of, and never treated!
While he was visiting his patient on that specific day, a woman on the same floor had a heart attack and died.
The malpractice lawyers got a list of every doctor, who was on the floor that day, and sued every one of them!!!
So, my friend had to hire a lawyer, go to court, explain that he had no connection to the patient, was not an employee of the hospital, that if he had been in the area and tried to treat the woman, it would have been illegal, etc.
That was another reason to go independent and sever all connections to hospitals, even just to visit!
Insurance bureaucrats practicing medicine and out-of-control malpractice lawyers are two big reasons why our Healthcare in America is so costly and not as good as it could be.
Personal Injury lawyers billboards plaster most of Interstate 10 across the South thats for sure. Morgan and Morgan and others advertise on radio/TV constantly.
It clearly pays well.
That incident illustrates one of the ways to solve the medical malpractice abuse that takes place.
Change the law so that if you sue a doctor and it’s shown the doctor wasn’t involved OR wasn’t at fault, the suing lawyers loose all fees AND any portion of money they would have been due – with the money going to the doctors falsely sued. Further, if you have 3 such cases in any 5 year period, you automatically lose your license to practice law for a period of 5 years.

Before you can go after your political opponents you’ve got make sure the public are fully aware of the scale and extent of the fraud, that you’re not engaged in a partisan operation and the evidence of criminal activity is 100% MSM proof.
Only then do you start including political opponents, and only when their criminal activities intersect with the cases you’ve already presented. Going after the likes of Omar has to be handled with care, otherwise you get a Georgia-type backlash and that happened when the MSM were running with their shields up and the DS were in full Trump-takedown mode.
You’ve also got to make sure the ground is secured, so that when the inevitable rent-a-mob appears they can be handled without a problem and coordinate the arrest of the dirty politicians within hours of each other, to maximise the impact and either split the mercenary mob or force them to riot in one location. The MSM are therefore overwhelmed (think of the first days of the administration) and the protestors disorientated.
The very fact that she’s out today suggests she’s trying to pre-empt this approach, so that a premature response will taint the any case against her with charges of bias and retribution. Slowly, slowly catchee Somali, is the guiding principle here.
The post earlier this morning on federal income versus federal spending got me to thinking again about the subject of a flat income tax (no deductions, no credits, no exemptions – just take what your total income is and multiply by the rate).
In 2024 the estimate was $1.9 trillion from personal income taxes. The same year the total income for everyone in the US was $20.7 trillion. This means if both the income tax and capital gains tax was set to a FLAT 10%, the federal government would take in more money – $2.07 trillion.
Note that currently the 10% tax bracket is below the poverty level. Note also that a flat tax would also eliminate a ton of paperwork and regulations and save a lot of time.
Note – all other taxes are “flat taxes.” You don’t get a different sales tax rate based on income, don’t get a different gas tax, nor any of the hundreds of other taxes called fees, permits, etc..

IRS has long been singled out as one of the most costly departments, tasked with enforcing a vast and impassable body of legislation. They spend an inordinate amount of money … collecting money!
When the Congress or some agency adds yet another regulation, or chapter to the tax code, there is no thought of “return on investment.” The income tax code could be reduced to two pages. Or maybe two sentences.

I am not against a flat tax – however a lot of other details need to be ironed out, i.e. defined. I think a flat tax might remove some of the obstacles we face with money/monied people & businesses controlling our representatives. No more special interests being represented with congress far more than the voices of We the People.
Based on the current numbers, corporations are paying a higher rate than 10% and is a bit more complicated. In their case, the only initial change I would make is a tax rate floor of 10%.
