Good morning on this first Friday of 2026!
I am wondering if anyone here knows if President Trump has anything cooking regarding “Notch Babies”.
From time to time, my Mom will ask me to check on that to see something has been done about that.
The US Congress put over a thing some time ago called the “Notch Babies Act” or probably it had a more august and formal name – but it applied to Social Security recipients who were born during a particular period (1917-1921).
Purportedly it was totally explained and justified but it seems rather like someone playing the old shell game on you and if you can’t grasp it and suspect the pea was pocketed, then you must be a total dummy and now stop asking about it, okay?
Born 1917-1921, they are all still voting democrat.
And whether they are dead or alive- and I wish I was joking.

The article explains how there ended up being a disparity … Apparently, AARP is against fixing it because it would cost too much.
AARP is not the retirees’ friend. They have never advocated for increasing the threshold amount used for determining how much of your social security benefit is subject to taxation, an amount which has never been increased after being enacted 40 years ago despite the inflation since then.
Had they increased that threshold amount for inflation since inception, the Congress would have had to deal with social security running out of money long before now. All of those benefits being taxed for 40 years has helped keep it solvent.

Personally, I think Congress should pay some dollars into the SS account. They give money to all kinds of stupid stuff, why not a $billion to SS? They borrowed it and I am sure interest on what they actually stole could add up to that billion per year 🙂

I tend to mull over certain situations for a while and watch how it all plays out before deciding what I think about it all.
I’ve been pretty curious about just what on earth happened to MTG to make her do what she’s done- this was not organic, this was all a move on her part, she was reacting to something and repositioning herself to deal with something.
In the last few days, there has been a lot of attention on the admission that the votes were wrongly, illegally certified in Georgia and then this handed the win to the chosen dementia patient.
I have a feeling today that THIS situation has a whole lot to do with why she’s done what she’s done.
Maybe everyone knows this and I’ve been in the kitchen over the holidays too long and I missed that everyone knows this?
I can only read just so much of the entire internet everyday, I try to read it all, I read enough already, so I have to pick and choose my topics wisely and what rabbit holes to go down so I have admittedly not done a big dive on this situation.
BUT here is my gut feeling based upon nothing more than fully understanding how this all works.
I think that somehow MTG consented to allow this certification go through, maybe money changed hands, I have no idea.
BUT she either knew about it and did nothing or was involved in it somehow.. AND where we stand today is that the cat is outta the bag and we’re only just at the start of where this is going to go..
I do believe that shit is gonna hit the fan on all of this.
So what I think what has happened here is that she realizes that she played this wrong and rather than go down with the ship, she’s jumped ship and joined up with the Democrats because she enabled their win and now they owe her, so they are now quite happy to support her in and help her out since she’s now on the bad side with us.
BUT bare in mind, the Democrats are not doing this out of the kindness of their hearts, they are doing this because they see plenty of potential here that they want at.. this is benefitting them, she’s got plenty of dirt that they want at.
Remember how this all goes: it’s about blackmail, it’s about you scratch my back and I’ll scratch your back.
This is the gist of this and maybe I’m wrong. But I do think that this is basically what has gone on with her and this election situation on Georgia, I do believe that she played a role in what all went down and that point may be coming- making her then do what she’s done to get the heck outta DC.
If I’m wrong I’m wrong.. but this is my idea at the moment about it all.
Hopefully everyone hasn’t figured this all out while I was doing the dishes and now I’m days late on the old news?

It’s simpler than that. She’s female and can’t control her emotions. She’s become the crazy ex-girlfriend who can’t get over a breakup and tries to ruin her former boyfriend’s life.
I sinply think she is trying to distance herself from this administration before the 2026 midterms.

I just think she is trying to avoid a major personal scandal and knew if she stayed it would be a barn burner for her in the end. Better to get out quickly as asked/threatened to than try to fight a huge publicity grabbing mess.

I’ll check back in a month to see how our YOUNG new Mayor is panning out. I think he’ll discover that there’s a great distance between campaign promises and achievable results. The Office has much less power and autonomy than he presumes. And many very messy responsibilities.

One incident (of many) this one was in my son’s college.. the teacher was berating white men (only my son and one other student in the class were obviously white) until a hispanic boy spoke up in defiance and said, “I’m white and I don’t agree with you,” or something to that effect. The teacher had obviously considered many of her students to be “brown” which, by the way, is not a race at all.
So her whole diatribe went down hill from there.. sticking up for the boys being bullied, the whole class then turned on her.
I commend women who speak up when men are under attack (I always do), and blacks who defend whites, gentiles who defend jews, youngsters who defend the elderly.. and on and on.. People with the courage to refute cultural marxists by defending the *other* guy, instead of sitting in silence, is how we Americans will soundly defeat those who seek to divide and conquer us.
Trump had a chance to do that, instead he bailed out the universities with 600k Chinese students.

It’s a bit more complicated than that. Many gimmegrants are just not that savvy. Rather, they are *trafficked* here by various NGOs like the refugee resettlement program run by the churches.
One of the first places they are taken to is the DMV, where they receive IDs and are registered to VOTE.
From there they are trained by social workers how to work the system. Many of these people are hard workers, but they are pushed into jobs that pay slave wages, then offered various “services” to make up the difference.
The workers don’t think this stuff up on their own. It is all packaged for them by the same people using voter lists to stuff ballot boxes, and the politicians and their corporate sponsors who benefit greatly from exploiting low wage workers by milking the taxpayers.
Of course I believe that employers should pay a living wage to American workers instead of this highly exploitative arrangement. However, the migrant workers do not have the wherewithal to set all this up by themselves.
I hope when America celebrates 250 years, we give honor to Stephen Moylen; who on this day, exactly two and a half centuries ago, an Irish immigrant , one of Gen. George Washington’s trusted aides in the Revolutionary Army was the first person to use the name “United States of America.”
We may never know for certain if Moylan originated the term himself or if he was the first officer to use it in an official context. This determination comes even after the State said one was shut down for infractions, yet they bused children in after being caught with no kids the day before. This time last year I was so elated with the President’s victory and so excited about him taking over on Inauguration Day. Today there is a part of me that feels everything is coming unraveled at once and little to stop it. The bad guys have the momentum. All the fraud, the scams, the grifting, election/voting cheating just grows and grows (the discoveries), and we’re ten months from the first votes being cast in the mid-term elections. I’m praying the President hits the campaign trail hard. Affordability is really a matter of accountability. And people have to be held accountable (like, now). A lot can happen in ten months. I’m praying a large part of that is positive for MAGA.
