Injecting the Israel support -vs- antisemite wedge into TPUSA is intended to diminish their influence, internally divide their membership and weaken the capability of the organization to deliver influence in the 2028 election. Ben Shapiro et al versus Tucker Carlson et al. Again, we see Alinsky methods deployed by the Big Club.

President Trump himself needs to step up to put out this raging fire ignited by those who hate The People having a real say. The most effective way to deploy a wedge is to force a yes or no answer on a complex topic. In this case, the wedge is: Are you with Netanyahu or are you an antisemite? The way to counter the wedge is to refuse the premise. By framing the debate as how to best protect American taxpayers rather than pro or anti-Israel, the wedge loses its power to polarize.
Agree, there’s also the false equivalence that is often implicit in such binary choices and, Obama’s favourite, the strawman replacing his opponent’s position. Both are much in evidence in posts, either wittingly or more dangerously for an already targeted movement or organisation, unwittingly.

A Swedish diplomat and military officer fluent in six languages, Bernadott a nephew of the Swedish King, gained international recognition through his work as head of the Swedish Red Cross during World War II.
Bernadotte used his position to negotiate with Heinrich Himmler and save thousands of Jews from concentration camps, although many argue that he could have done more had he been less cautious in negotiations. Bernadotte had also negotiated the surrender of the German Army to the Allies and was appointed mediator of the UN General Assembly on May 20, 1948, and was immediately faced with the volatile situation in the Middle East. At 5:03 p.m. on September 17th, the UN convoy drove up and found a jeep blocking its path. I know I should probably be more worried about this than I am, but all of these supposed influencers sowing division, each pretending to be the true standard-bearer of MAGA, are not the people I look to for answers. They have remarkably little impact on me.
I feel like MAGA isn’t theirs to split. MAGA isn’t them. It’s the millions of people who don’t fill out surveys or pay attention to manufactured outrage and online drama, but who go to work and take care of their families every day. The ones who do pay attention to the attrition of their quality of life and the erosion of their community, culture, and values and say, “no more.”
To me, celebrity republicans, media personalities, and online click-baiters are merely MAGA parasites, getting paid handsomely to engineer a “split” that’s noisy to onlookers but ineffective against the core. That core is the millions of people who understand that the only thing that matters is having a captain truly dedicated to righting this ship. They turned out to vote and have been rewarded for it so brilliantly in just one year that I’m oddly confident they’re going to hold steady when it gets down to the wire.
I don’t doubt that the attempt to split MAGA is serious business, even existential to the big players. But I also think most of us turtles are just going to keep on swimming while the insults, gaslighting, and doom bombs bounce right off our shells.
The audience for all this social media crap is the younger crowd, not really us older folk. They will be voting for decades to come and they are the ones who can’t live without a smartphone and access to X, TikTok, etc. Just look at the MILLIONS of followers Candace Owen has. And they think they’re too smart to be deceived, so trying to point out the divide strategy to them won’t be easy.
True, younger people are more emotional and probably more easily manipulated by influencers in general. I guess it would be interesting to know how many of her millions of followers are actually here in the U.S. and how many are actually young people.
Social media is a giant psy-op playground, so I never really trust the numbers. But assuming that many of her followers really are young people living here in the U.S., and that those numbers are organic rather than manufactured, I can only hope that the youthful tendency to embrace fads and drop them just as quickly will mitigate some of that influence.
I also have hope that young people, immersed in social media for so long, are a little more savvy about it than we give them credit for. Not as savvy as they think they are, of course (heh) but that their B.S. radars aren’t necessarily defective. It seems like kids just often temporarily embrace things for kicks, or for peer-group belonging, without deeply buying in to what’s being sold.
What can I say, I’m feeling optimistic (subject to change hourly).

As a Christian, Israel is extremely important to me. But frankly, I am not a fan of Netanyahu… That does not mean I’m anti-Israel. I don’t appreciate comments like that from him. Kids today will never have the opportunity to listen to a Holocaust survivor or war veteran talk to their class, much less have one in their family. It does not and will not matter.
As a Millennial, I think that’s somewhat of a good thing. WWII has become the mythic origin story of the post-modern secular West, and the less power it holds over people the better. I also think that a very curated version of its history and events has been exploited mercilessly by leftists, including the ethnic-but-not-religious Jewish groups who throw in with anything that opposes nationalism.

I watched night after night as the news reported how many young Americans had died that day, year after year, as the war in Vietnam raged on. That’s how I spent all my “summer vacations” throughout junior and senior high school, and that war ended as I turned 19. . .

They all went crazy with their TDS and I stopped listening to them. It’s like you could tell they were trying to influence their listeners but I realized they just weren’t “getting it”…. why people like me were ardent Trump supporters. It was at that point in time that I realized it was a waste of time to listen to them. Never went back – once they lost me …..I was D.O.N.E. stick a fork in it done. No going back. Have never given any of them the time of day since then (especially Ben Shapiro whose language got very ugly).

I am pro-Israel and have been for a half century but I don’t have any use for Levin and Shapiro. While their pro-Israel stance is probably sincere, the real game is to restore the neo-cons to power in the Republican party.
It will not work on me. I have disliked Levin from back in the days of his constant bashing of Trump when he was running for his first term and pushing Ted Cruz as the *only* candidate.
