Let’s get the scale of government fraud in perspective.
The US government spends $80k per family of 4. Don’t tell me that you wouldn’t be better off if they just gave you the money. So, where does the money go?
We have the most corrupt government in the history of the world. The corrupt FBI has done nothing but protect our organized crime political parties.
Keep in mind that while you never get the money, you surely will get the debt.
it sure is amazing how active the FBI can suddenly be… after a citizen journalist first gets to the truth and embarrasses them into appearing to do their job.
like, say, finding the actual perp of the j5 pipe bombings. after 5 years, they had a patsy within days.
Three things not to bother trying to tell me:
(1) That Minnesota, and the Federal agencies helping to fund them, did not know for years.
(2) That the corruption did not extend all the way to the top of Minnesota state government – and, throughout it. “Billions of stolen Dollars can buy anything and everything.”
(3) That we will not find the exact same thing in 49 other States, if we care to look.

It has for quite some time been a pay to comment format but reading said comments was open.
Today I find that the act of just attempting to go to comments is asking to sign in or start a membership.
The question is, anyone else having this same experience?

Just went there. Comments are viewable without subscribing. Can’t comment unless subscribed, but one can view the regular’s comments.
The font is larger, at least on my phone. Better for aging eyes.
Otherwise, still the same writers and their opinions.
They will come back? When or how long before now-vanished comments return? You can see those archives, but clicking on them gives the same log in to the multiple sites one wishes to access. The other is to subscribe.
The changes are frustrating me. It is like when Microsoft ditches little things to ‘improve’ things but makes it harder to do what you have been doing. I also strongly identified many things with them that they ditched. It no longer feels like reading The American Thinker.
I must have let them drive me away from reading comments long ago. Sorry I haven’t noticed them make it official ‘log in required’.
AmericanThinker was a beloved daily staple for me until they removed the comments, then replaced them with an alternate way of reaching them.
Now they’re back, sort of.
But they were forced to do something, the radical left invades any popular news or analysis site and destroys the comment section with repetitive rhetorical idiotic diatribe; you all know it, we see it here sometimes.
The Federalist was ruined in the same way.
I don’t go there much as ads are awful when attempting to read.
Did AT ever back track on suborning their editorial viewpoint to the cancel culture mob? Are they back to being independent or still just toeing the line?
Another typical IT debacle caused by poor planning, a lack of communication, poor knowledge of the technology, no clear goals and objectives, and no leadership. The vast majority of companies and organizations today have many more IT failures than successes because they don’t want to commit to investing the necessary funding and get the people with the right skills to do the work. I’ve seen it happen too many times, I’m glad I retired. Too much BS.
My experience with them, is that they go back and forth with allowing one to view the comments as opposed to being allowed to post a comment, you have to pay to play/post. Two years ago, or so, one could view comments up to now, prior to that, one could not. And prior to that, one could.

People all across the country are starting to do research on child care centers in their own states, looking to see if there are any run by Somalis OR that have questionable locations and phone numbers like the one in Minnesota that rings through to the governor’s office. A daycare pulling $1.26M in taxpayer funds routes calls straight to the governor’s office, is NOT coincidence. That’s one red flag the size of Minnesota.

The use of “MAGA” may well turn off an otherwise supportive audience, or invalidate the story for reasons only TDS sufferers could understand. The scale of fraud in the USA is so vast that it exceeds the resources available to deal with it. The Red Cross describes a disaster as a serious disruption to the functioning of a community that exceeds its capacity to cope using its own resources. Trump should declare a fraud disaster and act accordingly by providing short term resources to fix the disaster.
There are clearly not enough agents to investigate the fraud everywhere and not enough judges to hear the cases. These are the resources Trump should provide.
Perhaps the USA needs to form a time limited task force of recently retired accountants, police and secret service personnel to investigate, collect evidence and indict those deemed responsible. This task force should be in the thousands, be deputised only to deal with fraud of federal tax payer funds and only be able to bring related charges. Any other crimes the task force uncovers should be referred to the normal authorities to action. Give the task force an initial three year life. Allow DOGE to be expanded and directly assist.
To support the task force there would need to be a special court system established. The life of the court should be tied directly to the cases brought by the task force and be shut down when those cases are all heard. This would require hundreds of additional judges. Once again appoint legally trained people or recently retired legal professionals and give them additional training in financial crimes and the law of evidence and trial procedures so they can hear cases. Only allow these courts to hear the cases brought by the task force.
Any non citizen involved in fraud should be immediately deported. If they cannot be deported they should receive a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years with no possibility of parole. Anyone who voluntarily deports will be released when they board the plane out of the USA or released at a border crossing once they cross the border. Any foreign born citizens involved in fraud should have their citizenship revoked as a minimum mandatory sentence and be immediately deported. Those who can’t be deported are to be treated as non citizens as described above. Anyone deported for fraud should be banned from ever returning to the USA.
This would require Congress to act to support Trump to deal with this fraud disaster, so it is highly unlikely to happen. The appropriate response to this problem is to recognise that it is a disaster and to provide the additional resources required to recover.
My guess is that Trump could create the Task Force but Congress will need to create the courts and punishment structure. But creating the Task Force will demand the Courts and Congress will be under pressure to act. Each new indictment will ramp up the pressure even more.
And the US should get out of the subsidizing business related to social programs. We have more important things to worry about.

‘It’s staggering’: New suspects charged in Minnesota fraud case
Federal authorities in Minnesota have announced new charges in a sweeping fraud investigation they said spans 14 states, costing taxpayers $18 billion since 2018. First Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson said the alleged fraud is “industrial-scale.”
Thompson said, “What we see in Minnesota is not a handful of bad actors committing crimes. It’s staggering industrial-scale fraud. It’s swamping Minnesota and calling into question everything we know about our state. I think a significant portion.”
Six new defendants were charged in connection with fraud tied to the Housing Stability Services program. Prosecutors allege two defendants pocketed $750,000 intended for Medicaid housing assistance, while another submitted $1.4 million in false claims.
Thompson stated, “They’re essentially shell companies created to defraud the program created to submit on a wholesale level, fraudulent claims for services that aren’t necessary and are not provided. It’s been allowed to go on for far too long, and we need to do whatever we can to stop it in its tracks.”
Prosecutors also named a new defendant accused of defrauding a federally funded autism services program by submitting millions of dollars in false Medicaid claims.

Tonight is the one year anniversary of my transmission blowing up on I-55 and the Tri-State Junction towards the Cheddar Curtain/Wisconsin…I thought I was going to die! I had no room on the shoulder…or maybe 5 inches on each side…maybe.
Digging for my ins card, checking that my coffee was warm…because I knew I was not going anywhere until rush hour was over in 2-3 hours…so I was settling in…
And God sent me an angel…out of the blue…in a tow truck…a man and his wife were delivering a car from Austin, TX to Schaumberg…they were on their way back…saw my flashers and stopped.
Sometimes getting an angel, to get one thru it, is all we can ask for…and so blessed to get the request met!
It was an adventure, for sure. And I could not have gotten thru it alone!

Awww…I am ever so humbled and grateful, by the numerous times, too many to count, that I have been protected on the roads of my commute…and other roads too….and kept safe. All those times, can only be explained by a divine intervention and or Guardian Angel.
There is no other answer for what I’ve seen, Aggie. And having seen their presence in my life and in the lives of those I love, often in hindsight, no one can convince me otherwise.

I was 23 years old I had broken an engagement to man I was to marry. I loved this man but began to see that it would not work for us. I met someone else who made my heart race. Regardless my heart hurt. My friend got tired of me wallowing in my heart ache. She convinced me to go to a local bar and watch Huey Lewis and the News. She thought it would make me feel good to have a few drinks and do some dancing. At first, I was having fun, and it did feel good to get out of my apartment. Then it wasn’t fun. I got drunk. I told my friend I was leaving and asked if she wanted to go or stay. She said stay; I left. In my drunken state I decided to drive by the house where my ex-fiancé lived. On my way I started crying. I was experiencing something I had seen before but never experienced myself. The drunken crying blues. I was driving sixty miles an hour on a dark two-lane country road with the music blasting sobbing like a crazy person. Suddenly a stop sign came into view, but it was too late for me to stop. I remember slamming on my brakes and crossing into a four-lane highway. It was a Jesus take the wheel moment. I do not remember anything after slamming on my breaks. I either closed my eyes or passed out. When I opened my eyes or came to, I was completely sober, and my car looked as if I had just pulled over on the side of the road and parked along the shoulder next to the median guardrail facing the direction to go home. I promised to never drink and drive again. I have held true to that promise. The next day I went back to the scene because I wanted to see the skid marks my tires should have left but there were no skid marks. It was as if some had picked up my car and gently placed it down. My guardian angel. I am thankful I was worth saving.
The man that I had met that made my heart race became my husband and we just celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary.
