I would have loved one of these as a child.
I trotted, cantered and whinnied my way thru my pre-school years. Took riding lessons in my teens and finally bought my own horse in my 20s. A beautiful dark bay Morgan-Arabian with long, flowing mane and tail. His name was El Diablo Desperado and he lived up to it. ‘D’ was my heart horse and we had many fine times.
No horses now but now and then I volunteer at a horse rescue. The director takes pity on me and lets me help exercise the saddle horses after chores. I love helping these horses get ready for their new homes, whether active working or retirement.
My horsey sister in law in Wales would love you.💕
One of my fondest wishes would be to travel to Wales and explore country lanes in a pony cart with your sil. Or hack cross country on some fine, fat, sassy high-stepping cobs!

I think you are so right, Bet. Political Islam has done its homework (Except for the Quran I’ve read the same books they have)—Islam in the UK is a revolutionary social movement. Step 1 is rhe collapse British social institutions, step 2 is the constant criticism of established, although now weakened, British social norms, step 2 is the transformation of formally sacrosanct entities like schools and courts to be inclusive of Islamic values.
These steps are intended to continue until British society is remade to reflect Islamic culture and values. Already observers are very much aware that the “old England” they used to know no longer exists.
You have to wonder when England will save itself. I’m not ready to rule out the impossibility of this happening. England via its people can save itself.

Vasco da Gama was the first European explorer to reach India by sea, helping to establish Portugal as a colonial power and changing the previous dependence Europe had on trade overland.
Vasco da Gama left Portugal with 4 ships on his first voyage in 1497, rounded the Cape of Good Hope and travelled up the African coast. Arriving in the trading port of Calicut, India in May of 1498 he was warmly received, though failed to establish permanent relations.
After an arduous journey home he returned to Portugal in August of 1499 to a hero’s welcome, including the noble title of Dom.
In 1502, Vasco da Gama made a second less successful voyage to Calicut with the aim of subduing the town with a fleet of fifteen ships. This voyage was marked by acts of cruelty, including looting and burning a Muslim pilgrim ship with pilgrims inside.
After this, Vasco da Gama fell out of favour, until 1524 when he was appointed Indian Viceroy, However, 3 months after arriving again in India, Vasco da Gama died of malaria.

Schreiber worked on the Manhattan Project during World War II to develop the first atomic bomb.
He saw the first atomic bomb detonated in the Trinity nuclear test on 16 July 1945. Schreiber then prepared the Fat Man bomb that was used in the bombing of Nagasaki, travelling to the Pacific to assemble it. Schreiber went on to work on the design of the hydrogen bomb, and led the plutonium pit teams for Operation Crossroads nuclear tests on the Bikini Atoll in June and July 1946 and for the first thermonuclear hydrogen bomb (Ivy Mike) tests in 1952.
Schreiber was also one of the witnesses who survived the accident in which Louis Slotin was exposed to a fatal dose of neutron radiation during preparations for Operation Crossroads.
In later years Schreiber rose to become Deputy Director of the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

I was the kid doing the real routine while the rest of the “cast” lost all remembrance of what they had practiced for a month or more once hitting the stage.
It was a tap dance routine since that was rather popular at the time & I was a bit younger than he looks.
I’m just guessing but having the audience bust out laughing at me scarred me for life & I never dance now. (tho I have been hooked by a select few to do so)
Took me a long while to do Karaoke comfortably too.

He is probably the real culprit of mom’s obsession with tap dancing, since this is what she grew up with.
At least I escaped the piano lessons, IDK where that would have come from… I think it was probably a little too expensive to go along with the tap lessons. I was not old enough to take piano lessons unless I had a secret virtuoso trapped in me that needed medical intervention to release.
I remember Soundblaster sound cards had a piano with your keyboard software included for MIDI.
I might be able to do that, I was a pretty good typist (keyboarding.. the class that had just replaced typing in HS).
50-75 WPM @ the end of the class, never really used til I got a Pentium 100 from Packard Bell (cr@p it was last one I ever bought rest I built)
Ended up with a Job in fork lift business office doing customer invoicing, 200+ WPM screaming thru invoices, tried unsuccessfully to get the technicians to hand in paper work more regularly instead of every 2 week paycheck.
Could not get the owner to move on compliance, eventually gave me carpal tunnel, shortly thereafter I separated employment from there & they lawn jarted into the earth less than a year later.
On the bright side, I was in my own business for 15 years, his lawn jart was @ about 10.
They paid me enough to do it, but got back door shut downs by the GVT 2x, still mulling over even doing the food truck, lots of people hit me up esp in the grocery store for pizza again but:
I am getting bored tho after 6 months of not working 12-14 hours a day 7 days a week.

Mid-19th-century French composer Charles Gounod was introduced to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach by Fanny Mendelssohn, the sister of composer Felix Mendelssohn.
The latter was responsible for a Bach revival at that time, for Bach and his music had been all but forgotten for many years, known perhaps only in parts of Germany where his legacy persisted among organists.
Visiting Fanny Mendelssohn, Gounod heard her play the Prelude #1 for Keyboard by Bach, a seemingly simple piece, but interesting, as always with Bach!
Gounod later began playing around with the piece, creating variations upon it. Another composer heard it and wrote it down, convincing Gounod to publish the piece.
Thus was born Méditation sur le Premier Prélude de Sebastian Bach.
Later, Gounod thought he could use a poem and turn the piece into a song: a listener disliked the poem and suggested the Ave Maria.
And so, Gounod’s Ave Maria was born! Oddly, he did not think much of the piece and considered it a trifle.
History has said otherwise!

Right now, I have 3 of those. 4, 6, and 16yrs of age. Last year 2 went to heaven aged 15 and 16yrs.

COMMENTARY FOR EPHESIANS 5
Exhortation to brotherly love. (1,2) Cautions against several sins. (3-14) Directions to a contrary behaviour, and to relative duties. (15-21) The duties of wives and husbands are enforced by the spiritual relation between Christ and the church. (22-33)
(15-21) Another remedy against sin, is care, or caution, it being impossible else to maintain purity of heart and life. Time is a talent given us by God, and it is misspent and lost when not employed according to his design. If we have lost our time heretofore, we must double our diligence for the future. Of that time which thousands on a dying bed would gladly redeem at the price of the whole world, how little do men think, and to what trifles they daily sacrifice it! People are very apt to complain of bad times; it were well if that stirred them more to redeem time. Be not unwise. Ignorance of our duty, and neglect of our souls, show the greatest folly. Drunkenness is a sin that never goes alone, but carries men into other evils; it is a sin very provoking to God. The drunkard holds out to his family and to the world the sad spectacle of a sinner hardened beyond what is common, and hastening to perdition. When afflicted or weary, let us not seek to raise our spirits by strong drink, which is hateful and hurtful, and only ends in making sorrows more felt. But by fervent prayer let us seek to be filled with the Spirit, and to avoid whatever may grieve our gracious Comforter. All God’s people have reason to sing for joy. Though we are not always singing, we should be always giving thanks; we should never want disposition for this duty, as we never want matter for it, through the whole course of our lives. Always, even in trials and afflictions, and for all things; being satisfied of their loving intent, and good tendency. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Happy Christmas to all – may you and your loved ones recognise the true meaning and spirit.
That said, it came to me (on the couch) that God “experiences” this world (of emotion) via His attachment to each and every soul created. (good and bad). So, as we celebrate with God (hopefully) let us take thought of how God “experiences” the collective whole. Yes, He rejoices with the joyous, however consider how His “collective” perceives the whole. A world torn by division/division/division, ignorance, lawlessness, violence, fear, loss, hopelessness and loneliness. Millions and millions of souls crying out for mercy – for somebody just to recognize that they exist.
May we use these days to give and spread as much joy and hope to as many as possible. Even if it’s the homeless guy on the corner (what’s a happy Christmas bro cost you?), that friend you haven’t spoken to in years, the pesky next door neighbor and on and on. God also shares their joy or sorrow, which can be directly influenced by us.
If animals could really talk at midnight on Christmas Eve…
