Yea, anyone making $300G, in my opinion, has more than enough money and then some to spare.
I’ve seen it. A relative of mine is a doctor with a thriving private practice in SoCal. He and his wife spend money like there’s no tomorrow. Lexus vehicles, private schools for their kids, and fancy vacations pretty often. They are funding his father who has no income. Great people, very generous, but they tell me they have very little money saved for retirement.
He pretty much hates his job but he is trapped and he may never retire.
$300,000 in CA doesn’t go very far.
300K is comfortable for a family with 2 kids and public school
and about 30 to 40 percent disappears from their paychecks due to taxes and payments for SS, medicare etc. And let’s not forget what it costs to support all the illegals for snap, public education, ESL classes etc. etc.

Yes – there are a number of things that I strongly disagree with in the article writer’s assumptions and statements. One example, “You can’t live without spending $200/month on phones and internet.” The amount allocated for transportation is nuts too. Doesn’t make any sense to have your wife work to net $12K/year after childcare expenses and letting strangers raise your children either, as they suggest.
Priorities, people live with no cell phones. They do not work everywhere. Television is a choice, not a necessity. Principles, values, integrity, virtue. We need to begin to teach these to our children once again. Things, objects are just that. People, moments, honesty, that is what matters.

Another train stabbing in Charlotte — and the suspect’s been deported twice already
An illegal migrant — who was deported by the U.S. twice in recent years — was arrested in connection with a stabbing on a light rail train in Charlotte, North Carolina, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
DHS on Saturday identified the suspect as 33-year-old Oscar Gerardo Solorzano-Garcia.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged an arrest detainer for Solorzano-Garcia, of Honduras, after he stabbed a man with a large knife on the light rail train.
Noem added that Solorzano-Garcia was first removed from the U.S. by the Trump administration in 2018. He was arrested in 2021 while illegally crossing the border a second time and again removed.
She said he entered the country illegally a third time at an unknown date and location.
Noem added that his criminal history includes prior arrests for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, destroying evidence, resisting arrest, using a fake ID, and convictions for robbery and illegally re-entry.
