The New York Times has admitted what the White House, President Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth previously affirmed.
Despite the manipulative effort of the original CIA report (Washington Post), which was purposefully intended to undermine the authority and legitimacy of the Trump administration, Secretary Pete Hegseth did not order a second strike on the drug carrying narcoterrorism boat. The second strike was authorized by General Bradley as part of the mission objective.
Hegseth’s order was to “destroy” the vessel. The vessel was not completely “destroyed” in the first attack, it was “disabled.” A second attack was ordered independently by General Bradley to render the vessel destroyed and compete the mission.
If the vessel was destroyed the mission was complete. If the vessel was disabled, the mission objective remained active until the vessel was destroyed. This is not complicated to understand.
The CIA mockingbird operation to delegitimize the mission and protect their independent sources of revenue has failed.

And, the officials said, his order was not a response to surveillance footage showing that at least two people on the boat survived the first blast.
Admiral Bradley ordered the initial missile strike and then several follow-up strikes that killed the initial survivors and sank the disabled boat. As that operation unfolded, they said, Mr. Hegseth did not give any further orders to him.
The officials clarified the sequence of events amid the political and legal uproar that has followed a report in The Washington Post last week. It said that Admiral Bradley ordered the second strike to fulfill a directive by Mr. Hegseth to kill everyone. The reaction has included questions about whether Mr. Hegseth specifically ordered an execution of shipwrecked sailors in violation of the laws of war. (more)

Conservative legal commentator Andy McCarthy has condemned the reported U.S. military strike that killed two survivors of a prior attack on a suspected drug boat, calling the action “at best, a war crime under federal law”. He also said “Even if you buy the untenable claim that they are combatants, it is a war crime to intentionally kill combatants who have been rendered unable to fight. It is not permitted to order that no quarter be given , to apply lethal force to those who surrender or who are injured, shipwrecked, or otherwise unable to fight.”
If Heseth is totally innocent, if he in no way directed this, or even “created the atmosphere”, will he have the Admiral court martialed ?

Actually, it is not complicated at all. In the history of modern warfare, it has never been legal or moral to execute unarmed survivors who pose no risk to American forces (this is Israeli behavior). The US Navy had a duty to try to rescue the survivors clinging to the wreckage.
Not only was the “double tap” illegal – a case of cold-blooded murder, so too was the first strike on the boat. You don’t blow up a ship killing every occupant on board because you “suspect” they are running drugs (BTW Venezuela is NOT a source of fentanyl). You seize and board the ship and arrest the occupants if drugs are found on board.

It’s more than that, because with each and every boat that is destroyed, the Cartels lose resources (people, goods, and products). Losing resources means losing money, and when those resources are all tied together in their logistic chain, that means a significant amount of money is being lost. Cartels will not bear that loss; they will pass it on to those they pay to ensure their goods reach their destinations, i.e., Western nation politicians, and in the U.S., that means local, state, and federal-level elected officials.
Those crying over this, from elected positions, are on the take. Those who cry about this in the media are on the take. These cartels have networks, and those networks will first be pressured to reverse the issue. If that fails (it is currently), the cartels will raise the ante- money will stop flowing, and people close to those on the take will start disappearing or dying. Billions are at stake.
From how I understand things, the “Narco-Terrorists” running these craft are basically “Pirates”, and are not covered by the “combatant”/”non-combatant” terminology that is being asserted by “some” folks.

By law, US Navy ships going through drug trafficking areas are REQUIRED to have a US Coast Guard LEDET (Law Enforcement Detachment) team on board. Having a USCG LEDET team on board enables the US Navy ships to be LEGALLY used for law enforcement. Of course, the fake media and the politicians do not mention it.
LEDET was created while I was a member of the US Coast Guard. Laws have been passed which made it legal for USCG LEDET to be used by US Navy ships, and more (navy ships of other countries involved in law enforcement treaties with the US) for law enforcement.

While on my last US Coast Guard ship we found a boat that had no people in it. It had either been abandoned or the people that had been in it had died and fallen off the boat. Because it was a hazard to shipping we sank it. The first attempt to sink it failed because it was full of styrofoam to keep it from sinking in case it got flooded with water. So I came up with an idea on how to do it and our captain went along with it.
Our ship got behind the boat and I fired on it along the middle, from stern to bow with a big 50 caliber machine gun. I split the boat in two lengthwise, the styrofoam (which is soft, not as dangerous as other materials) came out and the two halves I had split the boat into then sank.
Right – kill them all, let God sort ’em out.
Ok, I’d volunteer to sit in a nice cabin cruiser for a week or two at a short distance to warn off other ships and enjoy their pleas for mercy, until they stopped.
If you look at the video, you can see that the boat is engulfed in fire after the initial strike. The follow-up strikes destroyed the hull and sank the craft. But I don’t see any signs of life after the initial strike. It doesn’t really do any good to try to “shape a narrative” when we can see the situation for ourselves.

Look at the film of the explosion. There may have been two bodies in the water. I doubt they were living bodies.
Kelly is right. Military personnel don’t have to follow illegal orders. What Kelly doesn’t say is they better be sure that it IS illegal or they may go to jail and get a dishonorable discharge.
Keep Kelly talking. Pin him down on clarifying what is legal and what is not.
