This is our customary Treeper Church Sunday benediction. We post it here as a way of inviting our friends and visitors to experience the soulful experience of solace. This is intentionally a quiet place. We hope the presence of Our Lord will inspire a little faith. Our Lord loves us and want’s us to be a part of His Family. I have taken some trips on Amtrak just for fun. Several years ago, they ran a special in which you could get a private cabin for $1 when you purchased a regular ticket. My wife and I took the train up to Portland, Oregon and then back. It was a special trip through the mountains, and the meal service was quite good. They even had a turn down service which left two small chocolates and a small bottle of wine in the cabin

My dad was a railroad “guy” : first a diesel mechanic, and then a drawbridge mechanic.
He and Mom got special deals and took the train often. One, was to the literal “end of the line” in Canada – where they saw polar bears!

Biography: In 1981 Sandra Day O’Connor became the first woman to be nominated and confirmed to the US Supreme Court. She was nominated by President Ronald Reagan, who had made a campaign pledge to elect the first woman to the court.
Although O’Connor was a Republican who had already served as a judge and elected official in Arizona, her nomination was opposed by the more conservative parts of the party. They believed she was not strong enough on anti-abortion and wouldn’t overturn Roe Vs Wade.
O’Connor served on the Supreme Court from 1981 to 2006 under chief justices Warren E. Burger, William Rehnquist and briefly under John Roberts before retiring. She voted mostly along conservative lines though on a case-by-case basis, which put her more towards the center of the court.

I just watched a movie titled “DOG” – Channing Tatum is a PTSD afflicted disabled vet who is tasked to take a PTSD afflicted Ranger Canine to his handler’s funeral several states away, after which the canine soldier is to be put down.
It is an adventure with many surprises both bad & good; the movie is overall heartwarming.

COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 121
The safety of the godly.
– We must not rely upon men and means, instruments and second causes. Shall I depend upon the strength of the hills? upon princes and great men? No; my confidence is in God only. Or, we must lift up our eyes above the hills; we must look to God who makes all earthly things to us what they are. We must see all our help in God; from him we must expect it, in his own way and time. This psalm teaches us to comfort ourselves in the Lord, when difficulties and dangers are greatest. It is almighty wisdom that contrives, and almighty power that works the safety of those that put themselves under God’s protection. He is a wakeful, watchful Keeper; he is never weary; he not only does not sleep, but he does not so much as slumber. Under this shade they may sit with delight and assurance. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Amaragrace – IDK of the finding were of a specific version – regular THC-containing “street / homegrown” cannabis or specially derived “medical” cannabis.
This is a very recently published finding, so any existing internet content that was published (i.e., the YouTube video you posted is 10 years old) prior to this most recent finding is not going to contain mention this potential reaction.
That’s exactly what this article tries to address – it is a very recent finding, so the older “it’s very safe” advice no longer applies across the board.
It is a cautionary warning – apparently not everyone suffers from this reaction, and **all** of the potentially contributing causes were not listed (and likely not yet isolated or identified.)
I understood the finding to be contemporary from contemporary “legalized/medical” plants – and is why I always make sure to specify “in its natural form/uncorrupted/unadulterated”…
supposing I need to also add “heritage varieties”.
The explanation of why I hope I made clear.
The heritage varieties are beneficial to Humans so ARE very ‘safe’, meaning not toxic… contemporary/adulterated-for-legal-medicinal sales are toxic by design.
They’re not studying heritage-variety plants… I suppose since not everyone has adverse reactions, the study is meant to increase the detrimental properties & toxicity to generate more profits!
Everything is detrimental in an over-abundance; water is deadly when too much is taken in.
OK. I am unable to read into the minds of those who conducted the subject study to determine their intentions or objectives other than to answer the question raised at the beginning about those adverse reactions that were unexplained up to that point..
I’m also far from being familiar with cannabis since I don’t use it and haven’t since the late 1960s (🤣 😎). That being said, I have always been open to the use of cannabis for legitimate health problems the successful beneficial treatments of which with cannabis have been well documented.
So, given the apparent age distribution of Treepers (using only my empirical observation of multiple the CTH comments sections) I thought it worthwhile to post this warning and let interested parties take that basic info and go forth to do their own research for their individual situations.

I had occasion to enter a dispensary (Twilight Zone-esque) with a friend and read the labels on her purchases – concentrations of THC multiples above naturally occurring plants, and myriad extraneous ingredients including “flavoring” (wthf?).

They are clearly corrupting the plants & final products and that’s a hard pass & easy boycott for me…
If I could get verifiable heritage seeds & grow it myself I’d feel OK about using it for pain/medicinal purpose… as it is I’m not interested.
I also read (but didn’t verify) that getting a medicinal cannabis prescription/card forfeits one’s 2A Rights in the small print… it wouldn’t surprise me.

On Saturday I babysat my grandson, I made him a cape from a nutria hide that I had tanned few few years ago. I then made him a plastic sword.
