I have a KJV bible. I’ve heard chatter that the translation is wrong or that Schofield bibles are wrong. I also use a Strongs concordance to try to understand a words root meaning in Greek or Hebrew. What version do you or treepers recommend if KJV is wrong? What is the onlyist movement?
Is the “Inspired Words” written by Charles Spurgeon?

I highly prefer and use NASB (New American Standard Bible) 1995 version, after discovering it per my (online) pastor’s recommendation, and because I have always intensely disliked Elizabethan Olde English. NASB was revised in 2020 but my pastor pointed out some small but material changes n the ’20 version that he did not think were as accurate as the 1995 translation, so he continues to teach using the 1995 version..
I have a leather bound large print version of NASB 1995, I use it in the free online Blue Letter Bible app – which i really like, and I also use NASB95 in my Logos Bible software.
Blue Letter Bible app (free) provides many different versions from which to select, and you can easily switch back and forth within the same passage(s) to compare the translations. It also has other very useful features such as bible commentary from a variety of popular pastor/teachers,,and you can turn on a switch for Strong’s Concordance, where every word in every verse has the corresponding Strong’s word number in hyperlinked superscript next to the word – making it easy to see the original Hebrew or Greek word from which the English was translated.

There was another I-80 big rig roll over, not far from me and a few days ago.
I heard snippets that Operation Midway Blitz might continue, cannot verify but was reported by our lib friends at WGN.
Snow…starting to fall…leaves, mildly conquered…the battle remains…till spring, am thinking.
Snow days for kids on Monday? Time will tell…
AH…. Snow days… my best friend & his family moved here to CO (he’s a native CO) & helped me for a year to get the restaurant open.
Long story short, we got an 18″ snow storm here and his kids were GIDDY thinking that school will be canceled, boy were they bummed out when they still had to go.. unlike the 6″ snows in central Indiana that would cancel school for 2 days they were used to, not so in CO they can move some snow here efficiently.
Only time they canceled school here for his kids was when it was -20F IIRC. I don’t remember much in the way of school cancellation for below zero temps in IN, I remember many stretches of a week or more of negative temps and 800$ (electric) heating bills when those hit Indiana.

COMMENTARY FOR GALATIANS 6
Exhortations to meekness, gentleness, and humility. (1-5) To kindness towards all men, especially believers. (6-11) The Galatians guarded against the judaizing teachers. (12-15) A solemn blessing. (16-18)
6-11 Many excuse themselves from the work of religion, though they may make a show, and profess it. They may impose upon others, yet they deceive themselves if they think to impose upon God, who knows their hearts as well as actions; and as he cannot be deceived, so he will not be mocked. Our present time is seed time; in the other world we shall reap as we sow now. As there are two sorts of sowing, one to the flesh, and the other to the Spirit, so will the reckoning be hereafter. Those who live a carnal, sensual life, must expect no other fruit from such a course than misery and ruin. But those who, under the guidance and influences of the Holy Spirit, live a life of faith in Christ, and abound in Christian graces, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. We are all very apt to tire in duty, particularly in doing good. This we should carefully watch and guard against. Only to perseverance in well-doing is the reward promised. Here is an exhortation to all to do good in their places. We should take care to do good in our life-time, and make this the business of our lives. Especially when fresh occasions offer, and as far as our power reaches.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Snow was pretty much a total bust for my place. The storm went north of us. Instead of the 8″ forecast we have gotten less than an inch. There is much more green than white in my yard.
Yesterday afternoon I saw Steve had put the snow blade on his ATV and brought one of the snow blowers in from the shed out in the field and into the barn.
I called Steve a little while ago and told him I blamed him for us not getting the forecasted snow because he had gotten prepared! If he had just not thought ahead and done nothing I’m sure we would have gotten a full blown blizzard instead of the dusting. It’s all his fault!
