The Elon Musk “Easy Future” The production and maintenance of a large robot workforce would require vast amounts of rare-earth metals, raising questions about resource scarcity and environmental impact. Musk would either need to secure these materials through geopolitical channels or pursue ambitious off-world mining, such as in the asteroid belt—options that remain far from practical realization . As of now, this robotic utopia appears unattainable and, to some, potentially dystopian due to the loss of personal agency and societal control. And what will humans be doing? Nothing? Musk says there will be no need for money at that point, but doesn’t exactly spell out how that would work. Something akin to a UBI will be necessary, and who will provide that? The government?

Its so ridiculous, machines presented as unstoppable when they are the most fragile of all things. Everything has to be just right all the time or they fail.
Those terminators walking on little rounded steel knobs could be pushed over with one hand. No motors that size could provide significant strength. Glowing eyes are a horrible choice for photo receptors able to see anything. Why build a mouth if you don’t eat food? And on and on.
If people haven’t noticed, skeletons (who the terminators are made to like so as to be “scary”) can’t walk or even stand up.
Its just a manifestation of people’s fears and materialistic assumptions. Will never happen, because it cannot happen.
The actual threat in the world is spiritual.

i read a lot, and when younger, a large volume of books i read were “the culture” series by Iain Banks.
the stories described a far distant future of humanity wherein they were guided and protected and provided for by benevolent AI and robots. there were trillions upon trillions of humans, and they were effectively omnipotent. they couldnt die, anything they desired they would have, anything they wanted to do they could, create and explore and destroy entire worlds and universes, and so on. they all chose to congregate, most of the time, in large, multi-billion person vessels cruising the universe and being hedonistic because there was never any work to be done. there was virtually no crime, no war, no suffering, because these artificial beings and computers, some the size of moons, were always there to shield them from it and to shift and adapt to create ideal conditions…
but as you read deeper, the interesting undercurrent was a class of people who, basically, lost their meaning. it explored what it meant to be alive and have a good life if there was no limit, no end, no pain, no risk and no reward… etc… and what were those benevolent beings doing to ensure it all worked so perfectly?
anyway, i have always felt some level of kinship with musk… IMO he has never been left or right, more libertarian (little L) and just sort of a dreamer who did not suffer fools. i don’t think he gives a damn about the money or the power, honestly, and he certainly shows that more outwardly than most of the other people we either love or hate for similar reasons. he goes with whom, and where he thinks his interests and aspirations will be served best, and he is looking well past the things we think he is working on now….

I don’t know if he reads too much sci-fi. Though I must admit many of the sci-fi movies and books were way \ahead of the times. We have seen them arrive and most people take it as progress, convenience and now indispensable – to every day living. At one time Musk stated his intention to implant a device into his own brain, stating though that “whenever the technology is ready”.
Whatever the purpose, it was to seed the idea and see what/the extent of response to that plan. He had however, demonstrated BCI – Brain-Computer Interface technology using animals to record and interpret neural activity in real time. His company started human trials last year – remember Noland Arbaugh?
A paralyzed man implanted with the Neuralink device and subsequently gained the ability to control a computer with his mind. Musk has not undergone such a procedure himself as of now. No updates to Noland Arbaugh’s progress anywhere?

Terminators – AI imho is open to use by any madman – one is enough to annihilate the rest on a vaster easy scale with no risk as opposed to past resources used .. the holocaust for one. When I came across this, it got me thinking – why the regret and how this does this threaten humanity. I recall though I was never a sci-fi movie or books fan, the few I saw, (forcing myself to sit with some one dear to me who loved those movies and books) got me thinking about the particular threat before Geoffrey Hinton admitted to mixed feelings of regret and responsibility; and the (I stress -FUNDAMENTAL) difference between human and digital intelligence.

Try reading Jack Williamson’s Humanoids series. In that story arc it’s what happens when robots are put in charge of caring for humanity as a whole. Similar to what Musk is proposing and a far more likely outcome.

Look at the latest slew of “Log into your Google Account” or Have No Account? Create one” on whatever websites that do not need Google to access. I have learnt that’s what FB was doing, even if you don’t have a FB account, go there nor click any link to go to pages there and yet they have all of my info etc. FB had the same what Google has now, at top right of pages you visit. Lawsuit against FB has been years since 2025 and only within last year and the last 2 months, I get checks paying for their infringement. This is an ongoing investigation (there are zillions of pages of what they have been collecting having that log and ad to create or go to FB (when one was clicked). They have tracked IPs, places you go to and what pages you visited etal. VPNs don’t work since they can also track your ISP provider by the public IP address. Got all that incognito now and blocking of scripts help the places I want to go to or access for pages to work. SD’s page is the only page I will log in after doing so the first time but never any other news web sites or account subscriptions. Newsletters from sites I go without having to log in (with my scripts in place, cookies only for session, block keyboard shortcuts, install add-ons – blocked, etc)

I do have an Android phone so I have Gmail, but I don’t use it, I use a security email service out of Switzerland which has the best privacy laws in the world and I get zero spam. I know I can’t stop them from spying on me, but I make it as hard for them as I can.

With every operating system that Microsoft’s global monopoly had, their greedier grabs over third-party software which worked better, are still really free with updates forever; they resorted to imitation of them. I had a friend who as one of the 6 when IBM was thriving and Bill Gates wanted them to be on his team to create what is now still Microsoft. They stole the IBM model. My friend did not join. What a crime. Who knew?
Anyway, this is what I also do when I updated the OS for friends, family and the kids. The first thing is install any saved browser software on backup disks, used to be Netscape Navigator, Opera, later Firefox. Netscape was the best and later Opera. Firefox had been good many years but the last 6-8 years; even more so now have their tricks with every updates; requiring checking your settings aren’t changed. They have introduced so much telemetry and improved business (approved by Firefox) garbage with options automatically checked regardless if you are just a private user using it for news mainly. Insidious are what’s in their about:config. One has to know what one is doing to change auto settings one does not want. I was so tempted to switch to Linux but one way or another never got down to that because I limit my browser uses. Email was always using a private free server to this day (NOt Gmail) for banking and other personal important emails. Whether you pay or not service is still as excellent and prompt from way back; especially when you want to get mail using ThunderBird or MailBird. No problems during the years I switched from Hotmail/Yahoo. I don’t even have to use VPN with programs that has it. Privacy is bait for many. But there are privacy issues and very few services do really protect one’s privacy. Very few. Google is still every which way attempting to tie us to services or apps we don’t use; especially on the phone. Never started use of phone for bank or bring up Chrome to go to web links. No chats , no payments, no Google TV, One Drive, Backup Your Data, Sync and all the other nonsense. Just disallow those. Location is slippery. Generally no location allowed. What to allow or only while using certain apps for them to work – only pertaining to these but no Google involved if possible.
I was using Proton for a year. Great service, with encryption too but that wasn’t used by me because I don’t do business email or own a website. I think they got much more expensive for the little use I got for it. Stopped that I think, 4 years ago. I use gmail for newsletters and unimportant subscriptions to tech, food or other trivials.
We can stop all these creeps from spying on us. The way they get your full ,personal info down to even starting to receive postal ad mails and solicitation flyers .. those lawn services, pest termination services. How do they know you own a hou/se and send these to your address? I had to tell my doctors and any referrals, or business I use (especially for the first time) to not sell my address or info so I don’t get email or postal junk. It is quickly obvious who did it anyways. You get them after these new first time visits. Those we can also stop but not through opting out. That is trouble opting out. I always resort to FTC, report all – unsolicited phone calls, calls o0\,without numbers in my phone book. That always stop the daily multiple times a day and even in the middle of the night or predawn hours creeps.

I bought a Panasonic home phone that blocks no caller ID numbers and you have to put in a three number code I set our the call is rejected as it stops computer generated calls. It stops them before the ring through. I about two years it has stopped over 800 calls, and even rejected calls have been few lately. It also stops late night drunks dialing wrong numbers as they don’t even try to put in the code. On my cell phone I also have active apps that block spam calls and I can also white list my phone book and blacklist any number not in my phone book. Works great. I also have Magic Jack for home and can block repeated rejected number so they never show up no my phone again. I have about 100 of those callers blocked.
Yes, that is a good one to have. I got rid of land line – cellular is all I use. I finally found what I was looking for through Settings/Show System; to find whatt appa that are automatically enabled. I found it and many other telemetry apps enabled. Most could be disabled. This one that I wanted to uninstall to totally get rid of it because it is the main one that allows so much of the nonsense. It’s tricky because your phone’s settings for your wifi, carrier, camera, calendar, notifications and some apps etc requiring notifications and particularly location while using app. It is called SVG Agent on Android phone. Once you can get settings sorted out and the app auto-checked mark can be turned on or off, you can then uninstall it.

I do sometimes wonder if I have such foolishness because I possess a distinct kind of thinking process so I have learnt to slow down typing or talking because sometimes I do skip over what’s between to where my thought lands and carry on.
My friends know to ask me or say I don’t understand what that is or what that was about – lol. Ah yes, thank you for catching me. People can’t read our thoughts, they can sense or understand what you mean or fill in the blanks if they know you well enough, but also requiring associating with you much to get accustomed to how you speak and your body actions without words.
If accomplishments are doing things nobody has done before, being the first one, first woman, first Asian, first youngest all in one; that happens too to be a foolish accomplishment of the past, maybe not qualifying for the future by the determined definition given. Even when seriously wondering if I am mad, yet knowing I am not is no small accomplishment to be able to finally solve the puzzle that does not always start in the same place or code every day. Do I make sense? So perhaps that’s foolishness I guess. It’s just the way Elon is wired, there is a border that is between what we call sane and what is to most of us dangerous to himself; yet if he implements his creations for neural implants for others – that is of concern naturally for me.
As for the future he envisions to be possible, that’s another story. Perhaps some day. I don’t think the world is ready for it. Unless of course there is wider involvement outside of Musk alone – all about money. Be damned if does not work later?
I believe the term is savant, meaning a laser focused talent. In Musk’s case it would obviously be a genius level aptitude for robotics and rocket sciences. I’m sure this talent is real, although it may certainly be funded/ exploited by big gov.
The savant has a specialized skill in one field or milieu, but can be deficient in other areas.
Musk reportedly has Asperger’s Syndrome. Those with the condition struggle to understand basic social skills in their human interactions and will often misread societal cues. This would explain his seemingly odd mannerisms and inappropriate outbursts.

Isolated incident per Chicago mayor. Guy is arrested about 60 times, and that’s not including any acts he might not have been arrested for. How many violent crimes have been committed by repeat offenders, and arrests only happen in less than 10% of crimes so when you hear about guys with multiple arrests, their crimes are probably 10x higher. At the time of his arrest, Duarte-Nieto had an outstanding warrant from Washington state for unlawful delivery of a controlled substance — heroin.

Kind of brings to mind the late Veep Dick Cheney, who actually did have a heart, but one so grotesquely diseased that he had his first near-fatal infarction at age thirty-seven, followed by surgeries galore, and finally, at age 71, a heart transplant that, quite remarkably, kept him going another thirteen years — long enough to function behind-the-scenes as a senior Deep State cheerleader and strategist through the Trump years. Daughter Liz Cheney, of course, did the political dirty-work, most notably on Nancy Pelosi’s sketchy J-6 Committee, prior to being voted out of office in the 2022 Republican primary for Wyoming’s at-large U.S. House seat with 28.9 percent of the vote to Harriet Hageman’s 66.3 percent.

From Civics Lesson to Color Revolution: What the ‘Refuse Orders’ Message Really Did
The 90 second video from Elissa Slotkin, Mark Kelly, Jason Crow, Chris Deluzio, Chrissy Houlahan, and Maggie Goodlander looks innocuous at first viewing. A few elected officials, all veterans or national security professionals, appear on camera and remind American troops that they must refuse unlawful orders. The script is familiar. Every recruit learns some version of that principle. Yet context matters. These same lawmakers have spent months describing President Trump’s actual, ongoing orders as unlawful. They released their message in the middle of live litigation over those orders. They did not speak in hearings or white papers but in a vertical, selfie style video uploaded to TikTok and Instagram, tailored to the phones of junior enlisted troops. Once we factor in audience, timing, and surrounding narrative, the claim that this was a neutral civics refresher becomes hard to sustain. A far more plausible reading is that it was the first salvo in a color revolution, a carefully framed appeal to the military to begin treating Trump’s commands as presumptively illegitimate.
This does not yet amount to a coup. No troops have mutinied. No generals have refused orders. But color revolutions do not begin at the moment of open defiance. They begin with the creation of what we might call a pre coup consensus among elites that the head of state is no longer a normal political opponent but a threat to the system. Once that consensus is built, messages to the security services change in tone. They shift from exhortations to stay neutral, to subtle signals that neutrality now means refusing to enforce the leader’s will. The Slotkin Kelly video is best understood as one of those signals. It tells the military that the locus of legitimate authority has already shifted, that the constitutional high ground no longer resides primarily in the office of the commander in chief but in a coalition of legislators, judges, international bodies, and media commentators who are prepared to declare which presidential directives count as lawful.
