The best way through this is to define viewpoints, not people, because people will shift as they change position and velocity in Trump gravity.

Trump is Jupiter moving through the asteroid belt. He is going to pull people into his orbit.
A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.
I am ON the Trump Train for good, even if I scream that I want off and can’t take it. In the end, I only want to scream “TOO MUCH WINNING!!!”

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 304 of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.

Here’s my take on this. I went to trade school early 90’s. Diesel Mechanic. They only teach the basics and still do. Wages were never that great and What Ford has to say is pure BS. They may be paying that amount NOW for , “SKILLED”, mechanics, but that hasn’t been the case in the past.
Along with having to be familiar with mechanical assemblies, mechanics these days need an education in Electronics, particularly , Multiplex systems. Testing of complex electrical systems. Your home electrician isn’t even this capable, or trained.
Trade schools are designed to teach people the basics where they can then get a START in the field. It’s up to the employer to mold the employee into what they want with training in the employers specific and proprietary equipment,
Wages and Industrial diseases.
I’ve worked for 2 dealerships. Detroit Diesel and International. BOTH go by flat rate pay. It’s how they price their work out. Flat rate scale. Flat rate work is designed in a perfect world which is rare in the real world. Constant pressure from above and the frustrations of not having the ability to meet their demands. Your job performance dictates your merit for wage increases. It’s a stacked deck in favor of the companies.
28 years I did this work. Numerous injuries from working on heavy equipment, Leg problems from standing / kneeling on cold concrete floors. I got out of this field in 2015 due to being in pain constantly. Never came close to making 100K year with a 40 hour work.
Honestly! Truck driving pays better, less hassle, easier training and doesn’t wear your body out. I’ve told all my kids to get a CDL and they’d never be without a job option. I drive construction trucks so i can be home every night and make more money than being a mechanic.
Flat rate has been the standard of the industry for as long as I can remember (going back to the 60s).
A really good mechanic can get fat working flat rate. A slow one, not so much. The latter ones they quickly move to lower volume work and more obscure jobs that the workhorse mechanics don’t want to break pace on.
If a wrench is not kicked up to an advisor desk or the manager’s room by age 40, then he is either a money machine under the lifts, or lacks the ‘personality’ for customer interaction. The former can do pretty good. Either way, he’ll be spending more on Advil as the years add up on fingers and joints.
But the best ones don’t even wait that long. They figure out the biz, and go out and set up their own shop at the first opportunity. Some don’t use the Advil as much as the bottle as the troubles come and go. Different headaches when you’re the owner.
Long haul truckers pay one very heavy hidden cost. They lose a lot of family time on the road. Occasionally, weeks on end. Sometimes, you can’t put a price on that.
Spinning a wrench, or running a shop, you tend to still get home every night to supper and help your kids with homework, and watch them grow up. That is more valuable than a higher paying job in my book.
Not sure where your information comes from. I was in the trenches. Pretty hard to get fat on Flat Rate when the service advisor is giving the easy jobs to the unskilled and personal pets.
One of my favorite memories was at Detroit Diesel replacing a water pump on 60 Series. Flat rate at the time was 45 minutes. Drain coolant, remove and clean surface. Install and refill coolant. Done. Driver asked if I was going to test it for leaks. Sorry bub. No time in flat rate for that. Sent a OTR driver out without testing for leaks. That’s the kind of service you get with flat rate.

I don’t get this. He states he needs 5,000 mechanics in his factories. He used an example of it taking five years of experience to pull a diesel engine out of a F150. (from a link posted yesterday). Does Ford have factories and/or assembly plants? It seems a mechanic would be needed after the assembly of a new vehicle. Then isn’t the issue more ‘pre-mechanic’? 🤔

You can’t adequately service any motor vehicle made after 2000 without a computer, and significant computer skills. You can’t even replace a dead starting battery on some of them without a computer. The cars are rolling computer networks.
And then you have to wrench out the work the computers identify for service or repair.
And most people who possess that level of computer proficiency don’t want to spin a wrench. They want to play with computers and clean IT things with the geeks.
The good news is that it takes little native diagnostic sense these days to service the vehicles, unlike back in the day where an old wrench could figure it out quickly on brains and experience. If you can even call that “good news”.
Ask a kid mechanic today what a dwell angle is, and they’ll sit and stare at you … as they dwell on it. But they sure can work their smart phones fast.
My old indy mechanic tells me most of the dealer service departments have lots of kids just standing around. Not enough work. Meanwhile, it’s an ordeal to even find room in his parking lot.
But not all is lost. The youngest generation seems to be looking a little more traditionally at the trades. Maybe Sydney Sweeney will come by and help with the next oil change on my truck.

Yes, more than half the population is Muslim, but most of those folks are culturally Muslim, not practicing Muslim. The food is unbelievably delicious. We’ve been there a couple times and felt completely safe. It’s like your regular, average town. One of the times we went was during Ramadan. The restaurants are open all night long and non-Muslims have a great experience.
Hamtramck was a little dicier for us. It is more Yemen/Bangladesh. The adhan is broadcast from the masajid, so you really cannot go anywhere without hearing it. There is a Halal grocery store on every corner. The town is 80% Muslim.

Half a dozen Republican senators are calling on the leading judge of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals to suspend a rogue district judge as efforts to impeach him get underway.
On Monday, Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution Chair Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., and five of his GOP colleagues sent a letter to D.C. Circuit Chief Judge Sri Srinivasan asking that D.C. District Judge James Boasberg be “administratively suspended pending formal impeachment by the House of Representatives and, if impeached, an impeachment trial by the Senate.” The letter’s other signatories include Sens. Mike Lee of Utah, Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Kevin Cramer of North Dakota, and Bill Hagerty of Tennessee.
Why is this going nowhere and who in the GOP is protecting Boasberg?

“Someone with direct knowledge called me up and said, ‘Do you know that the insurance company that insures intelligence personnel is owned by the Chinese?'” he remembers. “I was astonished!”
In 2015, the insurer, Wright USA, had been quietly purchased by Fosun Group, a private company believed to have very close connections with China’s leadership.
US concerns became immediately clear: Wright USA was privy to the personal details of many of America’s top secret service agents and intelligence officials. No one in the US knew who might have access to that information now the insurer and its parent, Ironshore, were Chinese-owned.
Wright USA wasn’t an isolated case.
