Good morning Betsy. Love this photo. As always, you have given me some giggles, smiles and Awwws with your selection for Cursday. You never disappoint. I imagine you enjoy searching for these images, photos, etc. for both Cursday and Caturday.
Here is the update on “Cat Central.”
It looks like I will be the owner of four cats for now. I will still try to home Cleo and Pumpkin.
The kittens are still flying projectiles, just larger! They do not take after their mom in looks. Their father must have been a large cat. They are long bodied, long legged, very long tails which are held proudly straight up and have large (murder mittens)! Have not a clue how big they are going to be when full grown as they are just six months old this month.
Maizie is the most affectionate. Loves the lap and as much petting as she can get. Percy wants affection on her terms! Pumpkin is a rebel and does not want much affection unless she is very tired. Cleo likes to rub around my ankles all the time, does not want to be picked up and will take rubbing her cheeks for a short time but then will want to bite. She is still half feral and I will accept that.
I only allow one kitten at a time to go in the bedroom because if all the kittens go in there together, they wreck havoc and I have to go searching for things they have pushed onto the floor and batted under the bed and other pieces of furniture. Also, my orchid looks like it will be bringing forth a stem of flowers, probably by Christmas, and I do not want them to wreck those.
Cleo likes to sleep under my bed when she can sneak into the bedroom. Once they settle down, I will try to let them in the bedroom at night. I tried it one night and had to finaly catch them and put them out as they made so much noise playing with whatever they could get their paws on.
Last week I had a lot of papers to grade and also needed to take a break from the computer, so did not respond on Cursday and on Caturday.

We allow our 4 oldest to sleep with us at night – the other 4 go into 2 other rooms, just so we have a prayer of getting some sleep.
One of ours, Spats, is the “Catalyst” for most of the dissension that occurs. She was originally named because her paws look as though she is wearing Spats. Turns out she is aptly named for causing spats!

The kitten the Professor took is getting along well with her other rescued cat named “Prim”, and they both sleep with her and her hubby. She has named the kitten she got from me “Proper.” This is so typical of the Professor.
I just love her and really enjoy working for her. She is retiring after the Spring Semester, so I will no longer have to grade papers. I will have to find another avenue to keep this old brain working properly.
I would love to have them in the bedroom, but they are still too rambunctious and I need whatever sleep I can muster every night. Why, as the older we get, the less we can sleep? It should be the other way around I would think!

Louisa and Olive are really doing well – they have bonded and Olive has found her voice. They hear us feed the doggos out on the patio in the am and start hollerin! I love it. Not sure the neighbors enjoy it as much as I do!
Despite some fairly significant health issues, the oldster kitties are hangin’ in, and the younger ones are occasionally producing mayhem, but still adorable. The doggos are like most dogs: thrilled to have someone love them.
Sure hope your grandson can help with posting pics – I know we’d all enjoy that. I still don’t link because I stink at it!
Louisa and Olive in their favorite pursuit – looking for little bundles of hay we cast out into all areas of their corral so they have a little treasure hunt.
Afternoon, Pat 💕 I’ll start with Cleo under your bed…which struck such a cord for me, because one feral who trusted us just enough to reconnaître our home as an ideal place to have her litter chose under our bed for the delivery and early nursery. Fortunately I realised that of all her perambulations through this room and that, she was partial to the relative safety of our bed where one night we heard the first tiny “meow”. It helped I think with her decision to arrange beaucoup towels there and scrunch them up onto a little nest. I could almost hear her say, ” Yes. That will do nicely…”
I love reading about the different personalities you share your home with. It doesn’t take long for them all to manifest, does it. I do hope circumstances will come to be that homes for your new family might make an appearance. As happens with most things, it will happen when you least expect it to.
Our neighbours who have just rebuilt after kitchen fire are finally back. Their two cats which came from the under the bed litter, Boots and Oreo, were taken for the year it took to rebuild by one of the couple’s friends but returned a couple of weeks ago.
This morning I received a frantic text from their “mom” saying that Boots has disappeared. Afraid of roads, Boots just goes outside occasionally for the sun, never wanders, then back in…until yesterday when she vanished.
I must admit I am distressed, too. Coyotes, hawks…I just can’t… Hoping that she is just having a little wander to reacclimate to her once familiar surroundings. But as they both disappeared for a few days after the fire then returned, I haven’t given up on the hope that she is fine and will come home when she has accomplished whatever mission she is on. Just as our beloved Welsh first moggie did so long ago.

I bet your heart just melted when you heard that first “meow” from the newborn kitten under the bed! That is just an AWWWW moment! My heart is melting.
I hope your neighbor’s cat Boots is found or comes back to the house. Coyotes, hawks, raccoons and owls are the biggest problems I have here because of the acreage of woods I own right behind the house. That is one of the many reasons I brought Cleo and her kittens into the house first chance Cleo gave me.
Yes little did I know what was in store for me this year, but wouldn’t trade the love, laughes and tears for anything.
I currently have a big problem with wild hogs tearing up my pastures and any other ground they can root around in. Close to the outside of the fence I will rake the dirt smooth every few days after they have been rooting around. Sometimes Beau sees them in the woods and barks like crazy right before we retire for the night. I guess they are doing the damage after we have gone to bed. Funnny thing is, they do not go into Blue’s pasture at all. I can only assume they do not want to deal with the horse.
I am down to two hens and one rooster from a flock of 20 a friend from church gave me two years ago when she moved south to be with her son.
My neighbor said it was a coyote snatching them one at a time every few days. He said he would see the lone coyote snatch them. I free range them during the day and they retreat to their coop at dusk. I shot at the coyote and that scared it away for about a year, but I am beginning to hear them at night again.

Good morning Patty. Thank you for the videos. The little girl is certainly in her element with the horses. The horses seem to sense the little girl is not going to harm them. Glad Mom is cautious with her though.
Most of my horses enjoyed my grandsons presence. They liked sniffing their hair when they were little. It was funny, they would sniff their hair and half close their eyes like they were really enjoying the boy’s scent. Even Blue, my stallion, did it with the boys. To this day he will sniff their hair, even grown up, and will half close his eyes. I guess they never forget their scent.
Loved watching the wild mustangs. Such beautiful creatures.

The fact that London is a hotbed for knife attacks probably shouldn’t surprise anyone who has ventured into the capital lately. Much of the city feels like something from Blade Runner or Mad Max. The streets are dirty and smelly, and most people look ill and unhappy. Bar a few famous spots, there is almost nothing about London or its inhabitants that would identify it as an English city, let alone the nation’s capital. The third world has been imported into London and now it looks like a third world metropolis, as one would expect.
At any display of patriotic feeling, vast numbers of Muslim men gather with their faces covered, dressed in paramilitary outfits, often carrying Hamas flags or even the old ISIS flags and chanting ‘Allahu Akhbar’ through megaphones. They upload videos of themselves reminding their militant coreligionists to cover their faces because “no face, no case,” as one Muslim online influencer put it.
If you don’t know, get with someone you trust that does before you buy a firearm for personal protection.
Then get someone who knows what they’re doing and spend some time on the range with them after you buy your firearm. It’s not rocket science but it will require you to develop some habits. Not just the muscle memory of shooting techniques and the routines of firearm safety, but also a habit of having situational awareness when your out in public.
A habit of concealed carry (personally I will never carry a handgun in a concealed carry position that does not have a thumb safety. Trigger safeties are fine. But I want that extra level of safety when I’ve got a firearm stuffed down my pants.)
Where should your attention be focused on the person(s) you perceive to be a possible threat?
Answer: Their hands. That’s are where the weapon(s) will be.
Just simple stuff. But stuff you may need to be told and to understand and then develop the habit of doing. With diligence they will become 2nd nature and you won’t have to think about doing them. You’ll just do them naturally.

I would add that most buy too large a handgun for concealed carry and end up not carrying it or replacing it. The handgun left at home or in the vehicle does you no good when out and about. If the firearm is for home defense or defense in a vehicle that’s a different matter.
I routinely carry and most often use the Israeli Carry Method, which simply means a loaded magazine but no round loaded in the actual chamber. Certain safety, and immediate weapon availability. Matched with situational awareness to maintain any need to withdraw or be prepared to rack the slide in the moment after the draw, it affords a perfect compromise for almost all those who carry. If you are more frequently in areas or situations where that split second difference matters, obviously a different approach should be considered.

Good morning Garrison. This is so sad and disheartening. I had the opportunity to vist London in the mid 80’s for business and loved the city.
I went Pub hopping with other business friends to some of the better known Pubs. It was a lot of fun.
I fear we may see this in some of the larger, “demon”crat run cities, in the future, unless something is done to rid ourselves of this savage, muslim, presence that has been allowed to come here and even invade our governement institutions.
Frightening times, I’m afraid, are coming. I can only be prepared for the worse and hope for the best. Fortunately I am in a small town, rural area currently, but who knows what the future holds.

As a remedy against perplexing care, constant prayer is recommended. Not only stated times for prayer, but in every thing by prayer. We must join thanksgivings with prayers and supplications; not only seek supplies of good, but own the mercies we have received. God needs not to be told our wants or desires; he knows them better than we do; but he will have us show that we value the mercy, and feel our dependence on him. The peace of God, the comfortable sense of being reconciled to God, and having a part in his favour, and the hope of the heavenly blessedness, are a greater good than can be fully expressed. This peace will keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus; it will keep us from sinning under troubles, and from sinking under them; keep us calm and with inward satisfaction…”

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Emotional turmoil blocks rational thought
Eliminate it and you will be as you ought
Change your attitude change your life
Positive thinking diminishes strife
Movement replaces emotional confusion
All of ‘it’ is actually an illusion
You can take control and beat your distress
By changing your thoughts eliminate stress
By exercising you switch your concentration
Your physical movement serves as activation
Your shiver and shake ceases to be
Your uncertainty dissolves instantly
Your mind directs your body to move
And your anxiety begins to improve
God gave us the ability to heal mind body spirit
We just need to learn how to clear it not fear it
The body does what the mind commands
It moves it rests it contracts it expands
So it is with emotions as well with control
Our thoughts can trigger disconnect or cajole
Our attitude plays a part in this scenario as well
It is where we decide we are going to dwell
Negative thinking brings about negative outcomes
The opposite is true and to what it succumbs
When we take authority of events in life
We eliminate the stress and the strife
Whatever the problem or issue that disturbs you
It is nothing you and God together cannot subdue
When God enters the situation the solution is clear
You will have eyes to see and ears to hear
So Settle Me, Lord as only You can
Help me to see and perfect Your plan
Take away the illusion of ‘it’
Cleanse me from all and every bit

Do you deny what He did for you

A simple thought for the day.
People work so hard for credentials. “I’m a millionaire, I’m a supervisor, I’m a pro athlete”, fill in your own. It’s to bring people to you, impress so you are, important.
Seeking acceptance. This puts you in a box when you were intended to be yourself and allow all to accept you. If you expand your credentials you must adhere to that mold, that false self.
Acceptance comes from making others feel good, elevated, important, and recognized. Then they gravitate automatically to you. A blessing given is a seed and many more come back. The harvest is not lost by being eaten by yourself.
People who build up others and neglect self, find all others build them up and they are not confined to a self that has limits they have imposed.
Finding every life as precious is righteous. You do not ignore bad behavior or evil, you allow opportunity for teaching or better judgment. Condemn someone who knows better and refuses to choose Gods instruction. Refuses not has no knowledge.

KIA While Serving. Remembering Staff Sergeant Laszlo Rabel, who selflessly sacrificed his life 54 years ago in Vietnam for our country. On 13 November 1968, in Binh Dinh Province of the Republic of Vietnam at 1000 hours on this date, Team Delta was in a defensive perimeter conducting reconnaissance of enemy trail networks when a member of the team detected enemy movement to the front. As SSG Rabel and a comrade prepared to clear the area, he heard an incoming grenade as it landed in the midst of the team’s perimeter. With complete disregard for his life, SSG Rabel threw himself on the grenade and covered it with his body, receiving the full impact of the immediate explosion. For his heroic actions, he was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. We are thankful for his service and sacrifice. He is not forgotten.
