So when you read Solomon’s Song of songs – how do you “see” the writings?
It caused quite a debate way back as to whether to include it into what would become The Bible as we know it today.
The main point of contention was the literal interpretation of the text as a collection of secular love poems, which some felt was inappropriate for sacred scripture. The traditional and eventually universally accepted interpretation, championed by Rabbi Akiva, views the Song of Songs as an allegory for the passionate love and covenantal relationship between God (the man/king) and the people of Israel (the woman). He also warned that anyone who reads the Song of Songs as mere erotic poetry “has no portion in the World to Come,” emphasizing the necessity of the allegorical interpretation.
Some see the entire “song” as “Kabbalistic”, also the Psalms, and every other “book” which together we call our Bible. Unfortunately for us, one needs to be very proficient in Hebrew (a scholar) to even begin to understand the “hidden”. Now, Akiva was the guy I mentioned in a previous post that only learned to read/write at age 40 (former sheep herder), and is considered one of the fathers of Kabbalah. (which is not some sort of black magic many think).
He also paid a hefty price for his devotion, executed by the Romans by having his flesh literally stripped (to the bone) from his body by iron “combs”. There is something truly wrong with us (as a species) when we fear a man who believed – “If a rock though extremely hard can be hollowed out by water, how much more so should the light, which is compared to water, to change my heart. I will begin to study it”. He died reciting the “Hear O Israel……”

Lol – I barely understand what that means. Nay dude just a regular ex-surfer, ex party animal, guy who spent most of his working life in the Broadcasting industry – I say broadcasting, but I worked mainly as a sound engineer, then the last third as a commercials writer/producer/sound e./voice artist organizer/pencil sharpener/beggar. I guess they thought why pay for 5 people when oldspeak can do it all. (Of course they knew me as another name).
Nope, just began to happen, and I started looking/searching what exactly – I wasn’t too sure. I new God was in there somewhere, but I had no real “connection”. Long story short I then by pure chance came across this guy (below) and I just clicked. I definitely respect each persons own choice and strongly believe a person must go with what makes them, their household, their life – happy, stable etc. I know many who can’t stand this man, but for me it was like seeing Jesus in the flesh (to me they’re saying the same thing). Anyway hundreds or more classes later, along with other inputs, hours and hours of prayer, self doubt, sadness, bounce back, depression, more prayer, etc etc and I just do what comes to me day by day. Yes, I am aware that there are things “happening” that appear a little weird, however I can assure you, I am just as aware that none of it comes from me (as if I orchestrate the whole thing) Most often I “see” the connections (if any) after the fact. It’s a bit scary/crazy, but I trust God, and if I go too far either way, He’ll let me know. (probably in the form of a gout attack – lol). Peace – no fear, nothing sinister. If you don’t like the video, no probs. Personally I think you’d be missing something.

that’s the frog/heart?
Sounds more like you’re talking about the sole (white usually) which is in between the frog and the rim or hoof wall, (hard outer layer). You trim both the frog and the sole with a farriers knife. The hard outer rim requires nippers and a farrier’s rasp to shape it.
What’s really a blast is when you nail the shoes on the ends protrude on the outside and must be nipped, cinched and then rasped. If the horse takes his hoof away from you before you have nipped the nails it results in very painful laerations to the farrier’s legs even if wearing an apron. Hard won experience as a jack leg farrier speaking.
Love horses but they are a daily ritual and if you don’t exercise and train with them pretty much every day or every other day you’re wasting your and their time.

Yup,
Monti is right- it’s the frog. Super important part of an equid’s anatomy. Has many functions, but most importantly it acts like a little pump to circulate blood back up through the long, relatively skinny leg.
Our farrier, worth his weight in gold, describes it as a little heart in each hoof.

Still have momma and three daughters. I may end up with four cats. It is still chaotic here as the kittens are only 6 months old. Still into everything, only bigger and can jump higher.
By their appearance, I can only assume they have taken after their father rather than their mom. They are long legged, long bodied, really unusually long tails and big “murder mittens!” Mom is average size.
Maiszie appears to be the most affectionate of the three daughters I have. Percy wants afection on her terms, Pumpkin cares not a wit about affection from humans except my son, and Cleo, the mom, will not let me pick her up. She will only tolerate a little petting then attacks by biting. She will wind around my ankles and that is all the contact she will give, except when she bats at me with her paw as I walk by her.
The only boy that survived, my son took down to his and his girlfriends house, and he loves everyone that walks in the door, and wants to get on their lap. Adores their other cat (which was also a stray), little girl named Senorita Cupcake. They are inseperable now.

Good afternoon nim. It appears to me that the blue is a cushion of some sort between the hoof and the shoe.
I had one mare that foundered and had to have special shoes and the farrier had special cushioning he put between her hoof and her special shoes.
The soft, bottom, part of the hoof gets pretty nasty if the horses are out in a very wet pasture and have no where dry to shelter or if their stall isn’t kept clean and dry with shavings of some kind or straw. They get a type of thrush and boy does it stink!
I am only guessing here from past experience on my ranch. If you do not know the circumstances, its hard to tell.
By the way, my old stallion I still have was a perfect gentlemen with the farrier. He did not get shoes very often. Only when I showed him. When I rode him in my pastures to bring up cows, he never wore shoes, but his hooves were kept trimmed and shaped. He had the best hooves I have ever seen on a horse!

When the hoof gets all that black nasty stuff then first it must be cleaned and trimmed and then pouring plain chlorine bleach to soak the hoof will kill all the nasty little bacteria. Sounds overly simple but it works great.
A note of caution is that the bleach can cause the equine to react much like you do to alcohol on a fresh scrape. So pour it on and then place that hoof back on the ground is the best method.

“Habakkuk must wait in faith. (1-4) Judgments upon the Chaldeans. (5-14) Also upon drunkenness and idolatry.” (15-20)
15-20 A severe woe is pronounced against drunkenness; it is very fearful against all who are guilty of drunkenness at any time, and in any place, from the stately palace to the paltry ale-house. To give one drink who is in want, who is thirsty and poor, or a weary traveller, or ready to perish, is charity; but to give a neighbour drink, that he may expose himself, may disclose secret concerns, or be drawn into a bad bargain, or for any such purpose, this is wickedness. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

— spun-out leftys post these videos of them talking into the camera and calling MAGA supporters all sorts of vile names and characterizations
— spun-out lefty women go on and on about how they won’t date conservative men because they “support anti-women offenders” like Orange Man

Reminds me of when I last attempted dating and was lectured all about some new thing (it was coupla years back) called “toxic masculinity” … that’ll lower your staff to half or less in a hurry, I reckon

man, I don’t usually get exposed to much lefty hysteria (put Facebook aside for about 4 years now) but an hour stroll around X sure opened my eyes
don’t think I’ll do it often
One of the many reasons I found X & facebook useless for much of anything. At least I can still go thru the nitter systems to look at James Woods wit-icisms from time to time as well as view links posted here & there that I want to read replies to, usually for comedic purposes.
I doubt I will ever be interested about anything on the blue-sky network of ultra wing nuts, it might be even more comedic tho but I do not have that much time to waste drilling a hole in my brain or watching the grass grow would be a better use of my time.
