I was a freshman in high school, when the principal announced over the PA that the President had been assassinated. My chemistry teacher burst into tears and we were all sent home – stunned and bewildered. Much like 9/11. 😔
Good morning Patrick. I was in class, can not remember which class, when the PA system announced that the President had been assassinated. They sent us home and I remember getting home and my Grandmom had TV on and she was crying. Yes, it was the end of innocence for me that day too.
I was in 2nd grade at Hazelwood school in Anderson, IN and walked the 2 blocks to school and back. I don’t remember our class being disrupted except it took the teacher a few minutes to compose herself.
I was in the basement of the Cathedral de St Pierre, in Geneva, Switzerland, attending a youth church group meeting. The Deacon of the Cathedral came down to tell us Kennedy had been shot and stated with us as our parents were called to come directly to the Cathedral to pick us up after a brief, impromptu ceremony up at the main altar. The Swiss were most thoughtful and kindhearted as we waited, not quite the usual stiff formality one got on most days.

Two women are facing charges for allegedly shoplifting expensive groceries and then attacking employees at a Market Basket in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, over the weekend.
Olivia L. Byrd, 37, of Quincy, and Rahjane J. Byrd, 28, of Hyde Park, were each charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, shoplifting by asportation, and disorderly conduct.

On Oct. 26, officers responding to a report of a disturbance at the Market Basket on W. Center St. around 5 p.m. found that the duo had begun assaulting two store employees, according to West Bridgewater police.
Investigators say the Byrds were concealing high-priced items, including lobster meat, prime ribeye steaks, and truffle butter in a bag while shopping.
The women allegedly did not pay for the items at checkout and were confronted by store employees.
That’s when police say the two women became combative and began screaming obscenities while attacking the employees.
Shocking cell phone video appears to show both women repeatedly striking store employees who were asking them to leave.
Both women were taken into custody shortly thereafter and were arraigned in Brockton District Court on Monday.
Both Byrds were released on personal recognizance.

Nah, you guys know what? I’m just gonna come out and say it. And when I’m done saying it, tell me if it’s “blatant Islamophobia” or just…. you know… reality.
Let me explain to you some of the things I witnessed with my very own eyes in multiple Muslim countries. This will not be for the weak or faint of heart.
1. They didn’t just massacre one another in Baghdad, they chopped each other up into little pieces and stuffed them in underground vats. SPC Plocica was the only one with a strong enough stomach to fish the pieces out with a coat hanger so we could confirm the report. Don’t worry @Primz94933160 was there too as a witness. Rib cages with rotted flesh, pieces of legs with shoes attached, arms, hands, you name it. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve seen with my two eyes.
2. The obsession with having sex with children or feminine men. The saying over there was women are for breeding and men are for fun. We had to protect our fairer looking male Soldiers from being molested CONSTANTLY. But that isn’t the worst part. I once stumbled upon an Afghan colonel r*ping his 11 year old assistant, I heard the unholy noises emanating from his tent on our FOB. When I moved to interdict I was stopped for fear of a Green on Blue incident. And then we were all “educated” on the fact that this was CULTURALLY ACCEPTABLE FOR THEM TO DO. It was as normal as breathing.
3. Women are less than nothing to them. I would always ask how many children elders had for small talk. They could have 10 kids. 7 daughters and 3 sons. What will they tell you? They have 3 sons. I watched a man carrying his dead daughter in his arms to my FOB. She died due to a malfunctioned bomb we dropped. That didn’t matter to him. He dropped her on the ground with a stone cold face and demanded we pay him. She was f*****g NOTHING to him. He left the body with us and walked away counting his money.
4. Some of them have sex with animals. Ask me if I saw a man from COP 763 in east Baghdad mount a donkey in the middle of the night through a RAID FLIR camera. Because the answer will be yes.
5. They did heinous things in battle. Suicide bombings. Using their own wives as human shields. Using children as shields. Shooting from mosques. Spitting at our working dogs… or worse.
This all sounds crazy right? And I bet my comment section will flow with similar horror stories. It almost sounds like I’m making it up huh? I wish I was. I really do.
I know good Muslims in America. One of them is among my closest friends. But he’s passed through the American filter…HEAVILY. I can safely say he is literally one of us.
My question for you is, how are you not “Islamophobic”? My assessment comes from 4 total years immersed in multiple Islamic nations.
I wish I could say I’m sorry that I’m an inconvenient truth teller against your agenda.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. So many are suffering in various ways
From family problems to general malaise
From discouragement to deep depression
Hearts, minds, and souls suffer repression

God told us to pray unceasingly
Give Glory Honor and Praise to He
Bring our petitions and lift them up
So that all may drink from the Blessing Cup
When you are troubled the Body suffers
Take it to God and pray for others
When we reach out and pray for one another
We bless father mother sister and brother
Our own concerns become less of a bother
When we reach out and touch another
So Rise Up Prayer Warriors and shout
Defeat the enemy roundabout
Send him back to the dry places of doom
Back off and prevent his message of gloom
Declare your victory over all that prevails
Defeat his plan and all it entails
Our nation has been attacked mercilessly
Over a long span of time most relentlessly
It is time to defeat that father of lies
It is time for Prayer Warriors to rise
‘Go To The Quiet’ if it need be
To replenish and refresh on bended knee
You must be courageous and strong
To fight this battle all the day long
Rise Up Prayer Warriors and come to their aid
For many who are lacking let hope be staid
For those who are allegedly down and out
Sing Praise – Declare Victory – and Shout
Decked in your Armor fight the good fight
Send our enemy and his minions to flight

Rise Up Prayer Warriors
From my meditation this morning – October 29, 2025
“Arise, Arise, oh flesh of my flesh and bone of my bone! It Is your Father Who summons you to Awake! The time is drawing near for your brother, Jesus, to come again. He Will be riding His steed and leading Heavenly armies.
Stand fast and watch the clouds for He Is Coming! Sooner than you think and a bitter, bitter end to those who plot evil against you and against My Mighty Name!
Be sure your lamps are filled with oil. Look up! And do not be distracted or dismayed in looking side to side anxiously to see who is coming with you. For each his own and have made their own decision and it is not for you to keep count!
I AM The Lord your God and it is I Who count my sheep and call them my own. I let not a one fall to the ground out of my intention.
Your work, your discipleship, is about done and how proud I am of you for keeping your word to Me. Your tasks were not easy, but your reward is coming!
It’s coming on the clouds. kings and kingdoms will bow down for who can stop The Lord Almighty?
Do not wring your hands anxiously, for what is about to happen is My Will. A great suffering will take place as people are held responsible for their will. Collateral damage will be immense – but just as the mighty volcano wipes out at My Word – so too do the seeds of regrowth burst forward at My Mighty Breathe.

I had Mercy Me playing earlier (old fashioned CD!!!). I prefer old tech to downloads (I am going through boxes of my grandfather’s laquers and reel-to-reels of studio recording sessions from the 1940’s-1950’s, maybe a little sentimental right now!).
Sing along for me (or imagine me making a joyful noise as I screw up the tune)!

I dug out my old MercyMe CD’s too. I found one of those great stereo systems that even has a cassette deck player so if I could ever find my Carnegie Hall tapes – they would be able to be played. They are in a box buried and I’ve not brought myself to dig in the garage. When we sung there in 1989 a cohort’s father worked for RCA and snuck a cassette recorder in his suit jacket.
I love that you’re digging into the reel-to-reels from your Grandpa. Thinking those should be museum quality to a worthy organization.
You couldn’t screw up the tune – lift it, Sis. Lift it, high! Singing with you and pretty sure in Heaven, we will all be on key.
I understand that a communist islamist is the favourite to win the New York mayoral ‘competition’.
I am puzzled as I was not aware of such an animal – an islamist communist.
Then I am led to believe that New York is made up approximately 40% Irish and Italian Catholics, 20% Jews, maybe 10% ‘real’ Americans and the rest African and other mixed race voters.
How could the Irish/Italians/Jews possibly vote for a candidate whose unholy book instructs him to exterminate anyone who will not convert to the religion of peace?. Then wants to abolish capitalism and Wall Street.
|I know, I know, Ireland just elected a president – a CINO – ( a Catholic in name only) who drools over the islamists and wishes for Israel to be wiped off the map.

And paying homage to Michael Savage – “liberalism is a mental disorder”. I’m afraid that mental illness has spread rampantly within the United States and there is somehow solidarity in its symbolism – which unfortunately is rooted in demonic worship.
We can only pray that God removes their hearts of stone and replaces then with hearts of flesh – for there are many deeply overtaken and cannot see The Truth.
Jwoo, I’ve struggled with this a long time now. My “default” position is/was there must be “decent” people throughout all sectors of society, and religions. Most, I believed\hoped were either ignorant, or too afraid to “come out”, and(they) on hearing common sense truth, would take the plunge. However, what I see is just the opposite – people are in the main “digging in” into whatever they are\were used to. The Left is going full loony in their direction, the criminals are doubling down, the stubborn have solidified etc. Perhaps it IS the only outcome and conclusion possible – as described in scripture. The days will not be pleasant – they say holding onto faith will be like climbing glass. Certainly, most of us here will say “nay, not me”, but I’d advise ALL of us get any doubts out of the way beforehand. O and I’m not talking faith as in “I believe in God/Jesus”, but faith when everything you’ve ever known is under HEAVY pressure. I’ve definitely got work to do.

I think this is where the decent / optimistic human inside of you was hoping for the best. Fact is, the devil has just become too comforting and comfortable. People don’t want to serve God because they think it’s a bunch of rules that don’t apply to them. God speaks very clearly in His Word that each of us will have a choice to make and it’s an either/or… not a both.

Patrick, I am puzzled by this myself. I do not understand how he can even be popular, especially after the 9/11 tragedy. My only conclusion is that they are either terribly brain washed individuals or completely lacking in self awareness and are into the “woke” agenda. They do not want to be labeled as islamopobic!

Sherry asked me to make omelets tonight for dinner. They’re Ham & Cheese with my own special touch of adding a dollup of Cream Cheese just before I fold it over. Thinking of adding something new this time like slices of sauteed Shiitake or Portobello mushrooms. Depends on what I find at the store.
