Agree to everything Betsy has said here, Bill. Divorce is the worst for children and never weaponize them against one another.
Your children will see your grace during your visitations and time with them. Never miss those visitations no matter what. Always keep your promises to them and show up.
Be kind and honorable for it’s not their fault for the separation. Continue to protect them and their mother with dignity because in the end, you are both still their parents despite your feelings for one another and parental bonds… or the disasters of them… last a lifetime.
Be a gentle and present role with your children because abandoned children go on to deal with great conflict in their lives when they are finding their footings as adults. My own daughter is dealing with this right now despite having an excellent upbringing. The young women with “daddy” issues can be the most terrifying on a parent’s heart. Especially in this day and age. Sons need fathers to show them the chivalry of being a man.
If I could pray… please don’t be angry with me for this… I would pray for an immediate reversal of you and your wife’s hearts. A turning towards each other and reminder that you are not enemies. You vowed each others’ backs in sickness and in health… good times and bad.
A married couple of 54 years once told me… “you love each other… and there are times you hate each other… but if you hold on… love is cyclical and it comes back around… and then it all becomes shared history in your treasure trove of memories”. They were wise beyond measure.
I pray our LORD BLESS YOU with DIVINE MIRACLES and that He replaces your hearts of stone with hearts of flesh and that you begin to beat for each other again. That you see her… and your bride is revealed again… the one you fell in love with to take those vows. I pray she turns and sees you as her faithful, loving, chivalrous husband. And that you both pause and yield.
Please, please… watch the movie “FIREPROOF”… it speaks volumes into marriages that are rocky and gives a path to really work on it effectively and prayerfully. You must be willing to yield and isn’t your FAMILY worth the try? The last ditch attempt?
I pray binding, reunification, GREAT LOVE, affection, and for God to work His Most Glorious Miracles in your life so that you two also can go on to be a great testimony to His Care and Concern.

One of the most powerful movie scenes I ever saw and one which has stayed with me, Woo, is from The Best Years of Our Lives, when a grown daughter confronts her parents about how they wouldn’t know what she was going through with a man she loved because they had always had never had any trouble in their marriage…
Her mother to her father…
“We never had any trouble. How many times have I told you I hated you and believed it in my heart? How many times have you said you were sick and tired of me; that we were all washed up? How many times have we had to fall in love all over again?”
Couples married long enough will understand this, that marriage takes work. The road they travel together has its peaks and valleys, and it sometimes takes God’s grace to see them through. Like you, I pray for this in Bill’s and his wife’s difficulties. And for their daughter who will be making up her own stories as children do. Regardless she must know she is loved by both of them and never doubt it.
Wise and compassionate words from you, dear friend. I hope he will see them.

Yes… there is nothing more that the devil wants than to see families isolated, separated, and destroyed. I pray AGAINST it and that we as a community STOP the devil from taking ground and souls. Stop! In Jesus’s Holy and Saving Name… I pray a hedge of protection around Bill and his family… and around our families and for prodigals to return!
I pray the lifting and encouraging and edifying of souls and for wise and holy mentors to rise up and claim what is God’s and to help these people bind their marriages and families.

very attached to this tiny little love vessel. Good kitty!
As you and many of our Treeper friends know, my wife gently passed on 9-5-22. We’d been
together for 55 years. An important factor in our years together was two important values: trust
and loyalty. I’ve concluded that lasting relationships are dependent on the presence of these values. By
definition, long-term relationships like ours encounter their share of difficulties. We certainly had
ours. But we always worked things out because, through thick and thin, we always trusted each
other and were always loyal to each other. Our trust and loyalty to each other got tested plenty of
times. But because we maintained, we always pulled through the rough spots.
I’m so glad you wrote this, Garrison, for Bill above. You are so right. Relationships are individual and complicated, there is no question. But when the foundations are solid it helps so much…trust and loyalty are two of them without which a house can go wobbly. I do hope he sees it 🙏🏻
Two days ago I was thinking of you and trying to remember if it was two or three years ago when you lost your beloved. I did remember it was in early September, but time which at first is measured in minutes and days has a way of turning into years somehow. Biography: Invented the automatic pop-up toaster we know and love today.
Strite’s toaster heated both sides of a slice of bread at the same time, included a timer that turned off the electricity when finished and a spring that popped up the toast when the electricity turned off. All unique advances at the time.
In 1921, Strite received U.S. patent #1,394,450 for the device, he named the “Toastmaster” and set up the Waters Genter company to manufacture and market it. In 1926 the company began selling the Toastmaster model 1-A-1, the first automatic pop-up toaster made for home use.
The company was a success and was further boosted by Otto Frederick Rohwedder’s invention of the bread slicing machine in 1928. Toasters became extremely popular, selling 1 million units annually by 1930.

I can’t speak for all dogs, however….
My daughter and her husband had a little boy six months ago. Cute as can be.
They’ve had a golden retriever and an Australian shepherd since they were pups.
When my daughter was pregnant, the dogs figured out something was different at a minimum, or else they instinctively knew she was carrying a baby. It was interesting watching them around her. They were staying closer to her, more loving, practically taking care of her.
When the baby was born, he was, of course, the sweetest little boy ever. When my daughter got home with him, the dogs wanted to know all about what was in that car seat!
They were very tender, and recognized him as a little baby.
*THEIR* little baby!
My wife and I went over to see the baby again a couple of days later. They know me WELL, and they went NUTS when I came in. I interpreted it as being protective, perhaps I’m wrong.
My son in law told me the golden would walk by and lick the top of the baby’s head. I was holding him, and sure enough, the golden walked by, licked the top of his head, went around me and gave his foot a lick too, as if to say “that’s my little boy and I’m checking on him”.
Both of the dogs are very attentive to him. It’s fascinating to watch.

I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
