The silent terrible onslaught against free thinking physicians continues and attrition of physicians in primary care, independent practice and rural areas continues. Nurses and physicians are separated from care of patients and especially control of health care delivery by profiteers Big Insurance, Big Hospital/Health Care systems/Big Pharma, Big Medical Information Tech, Big Licensure, and Big Government.
Prayers that MAGA enters the health care arena in a big way and soon, in a way that gives common people better access to health care and decisionmaking.
Strain on family relationships, personal health is great.
Tomorrow I leave for the 4th funeral of close family in 8 months.

Lloyd and I spent our entire professional lives in what is now the medical industrial complex.
Yesterday, he had an appointment. After a very young, not especially well trained assistant took a woefully inadequate “history,” he had consultation with a “doctor in a box!!!!! ”
Not kidding- a video hookup. For this we traveled 100+ miles.
I pay a fortune for “regular” Medicare and supplements just to avoid this nightmare.
My prayers go out to country doc and the heartache I know he experiences, and, frankly for all of us that had an expectation of continued excellence in medical care as the standard. 😢

You are so right. Everyone sees it — especially us non-doctors who are looking for good medical care. I connected with AAPS – American Academy of Physicians and Surgeons and went through their list to find independent docs for my family. I do not mind the drive — it is worth it !
I also work with some of their legal folks who are defending free thinking docs who are falsely accused. It dovetails with my work of defending pilots who are falsely accused.
It is just heartbreaking to see what Big Corporate and Big Pharma and Big Government did to medicine. Like some of the other commenters, I remember hearing good docs call it when they saw it decades ago !

When growing up, we had a doctor living across the street who had his office in his home. We were Navy dependents, so most of the time went to a base hospital and doctors for treatment, but they were a bit of a drive, so he would take a look at us, if we were under the weather. I really loved him, he was the greatest.

I’ve seen it locally since Charlie’s assassination.
We ate dinner at a Mexican restaurant we frequent v regularly. They had TV screens on three walls. Two shoes two different sports games. The third, however, was a video of an aerial view moving across beautiful lands and flashed various Bible verses.
Yesterday I picked up sub sandwiches from a local place and they had a stack of Bibles on the counter. I asked if they were for sale? She said they were giving them away to anyone who wanted one.

Israel Update:
I started doing an update and it turned out to be too long and to many conflicting views and reports so I am now going to write it all in a short form.
-The 20 living hostages are home thanks God!
-They play games with the dead hostages and are in violation of the deal. They trickle them and they gave about eight or nine bodies and there are still 19 remaining in Gaza and they claim that that’s all they have. This brought about threats both from Israel and from Trump. Proper burial is essential in Judaism and it’s hard to explain but it is highly important to us and Trump met the families and understands it.
-The bottom line is as follows: After the big statements of peace and awesome speeches annd anll the PR campaigns of “Peace in the Middle East and after the Trump Peace summit with the Arabs in Egypt, we are now facing the reality on the ground. And if you followed me then you can guess.
The first thing that Hamas did when the ceasefire began is mass executions of their opponents and tribes who they consider collaborators with Israel. I am saving you the footage as it is very gross and barbaric. You see lines of people kicked and abused and shot in the streets to the excitement and cheers of the crowds. Yes, the “innocent civilians” that we heard about.
The second thing that Hamas did is taking control over the lands that the IDF left.
Then they state clearly that disarming is out of the question and they want to also choose the Technocrats (experts) that will manage the Gaza Strip. They also have statements that they will not allow foreign forces to be involved.
Now some of thise statements are from Hamas some Islamic Jihad and some are the top leaders and some close to the top.
Trump just said that they promised him to disarm and if they will refuse it will be done by force and suggested he may let israel resume the job. If you ask me I am sure that Bibi predicted it but went along with it all for the sake of getting the hostages home. Getting them home is a key war goal. But disarming the Gaza Strip and securing a better and safe future is also a goal.
But, now after the parties, no one wants to resume the war too fast so you will see a lot of effort to use the Arab coalition to pressure Hamas to disarm. I predict an attempt to re-brand them. A close Palestinian advisor of Trump said that “they will merge in the new local security forces. And, I have already saw Hamas people standing in a raw with AKs weapons with “Police” dress.
The defense Minister of Israel said that he ordered the IDF to work out new plans to defeat Hamas in case they do not cooperate.
He explained earlier that the challenge is to work with the International force that should arrive in order to destroy the tunnels etc… That force is suppose to be soldiers of moderate Arab nations like UAE.
Note: Without the hostages the IDF can crush them rather easily. The only locations thay were still standing were around hostages. But there are conflicting reports. On one hand there is an agreed upon plan and on the other the denial of Hamas of its content. And some unknown promises to the Arab leaders like Turkey and Qatar and Egypt. So who lied top who? Why are the contradictions? In any case Israel is on the upper side of it all. We got the living hostages and now Hamas is expected to deliver the “Peace plan” that Trump is promoting. Expected to enable neutral forces to enter and manage. The IDF is still holding 50% of Gaza and is positioned in a way that they are surrounded.
I hope I didn’t discourage any of you after all the sounds of peace. But there are 20,000-30,000 Hamas people in Gaza, of the military wing. The Jihadists are jihadists and the civilians have been indoctrinated to hate since a very young age.
The best that a Jihadist can do is 10 years of a ceasefire. It’s in Islam. Treaty of Hudaybiyyah that Muhammad did with the Infidels was for 10 years. After two years he broke it and slaughtered the opposition or converted them. Jihadists can only do this.
But since there are many forces involved including the US and the Arab Nations, I suggest to be patient and see how it goes.
The Trump plan is not impossible. But we never had a good experience with International Forces confronting Jihadists. This time Trump and his people will be behind this force.
For sure Trump did some genius strategic moves to get the hostages out. He made everyone happy. The Arabs for stopping the war and the Israelis for the disarming step in the plan and the ability to stay in Gaza until this step is happening.
-Trump said that he has Intel that Iran is working again on the nuclear plan. He said that he will attack it again if needed.
Note: Jihadi mentality makes people stupid. Their efforts are counter survival to their nation’s well being.
-The UK appointed a religious Muslim over the Interior Office. This includes anti terror. Now I am not kidding and I have the original copy. I will post the original. Saying the following in the UK now qualifies you as a “terrorist”:
“Cultural nationalism: ‘Western culture’ is under threat from mass migration and a lack of integration by certain ethnic and cultural groups.”
–The Pentagon approved a purchase of Israeli drones from a newer israeli company, Uvision, in 982 Millon dollars.
American Special Forces, Marines and some in Europe already got this drone before but not in such a quantity.

Thanks. It’s not over if they will grow. We will see how it goes. I don’t know about future response to hostage situations. Once they are hostages it is already late. The IDF had The Hannibal Directive that was the protocol of prevention of kidnapping soldiers. It was basically “all Hell breaks loose”, all escape routes bombed, any possible vehicle trying to escape is bombed even ambulances, preventing the abduction even at the cost of the solider.
In 2014 it was activated when Hamas abducted the body of soldier Hadar Goldin. The reports are not clear but it was 41-200 Gazans killed. Depending who you ask. I watched the footage and it looked very intense with some scary fire power. That body was taken into a tunnel and we hope to see it back very soon in the current deal. In 2016 the Chief of Staff canceled this controversial Protocol and the new Protocol is confidential.
On 10/7 there were some occasion of orders to prevent abductions at all costs which may have caused the death of some Israelis. But it was not a lot. I know of an interview with a helicopter pilot. He was not able to tell who is Israeli and who is Hamas. When he could tell he attacked but he faialed to prevent the massive massacre that happened in Kibutz Beeri. That was the worst massacre.
You’re right that hostage taking is a soft spot in Israel. I saw videos from Gaza and children in kindergarten illustrated an attack on a base and abductions.

Thank you as always for your updates. I am so glad the hostages are released. The thought of what they endured is really distressing to me. I pray for your and Israel’s strength in finding the remains of those not returned and doing what is necessary to remove and the remnants of Hamas.
We still need to use all our resources to defeat these Islamic threats. We have an Islamic group in Texas, the yahoo running for mayor in NYC, and others in Minnesota and Dearborn, Michigan who need to be demilitarized.

COMMENTARY FOR 1 CORINTHIANS
“The Corinthian church contained some Jews, but more Gentiles, and the apostle had to contend with the superstition of the one, and the sinful conduct of the other. The peace of this church was disturbed by false teachers, who undermined the influence of the apostle. Two parties were the result; one contending earnestly for the Jewish ceremonies, the other indulging in excesses contrary to the gospel, to which they were especially led by the luxury and the sins which prevailed around them. This epistle was written to rebuke some disorderly conduct, of which the apostle had been apprized, and to give advice as to some points whereon his judgment was requested by the Corinthians. Thus the scope was twofold. 1. To apply suitable remedies to the disorders and abuses which prevailed among them. 2. To give satisfactory answers on all the points upon which his advice had been desired. The address, and Christian mildness, yet firmness, with which the apostle writes, and goes on from general truths directly to oppose the errors and evil conduct of the Corinthians, is very remarkable. To all who called upon Christ, the apostle gave his usual salutation, desiring, in their behalf, the pardoning mercy, sanctifying grace, and comforting peace of God, through Jesus Christ. Sinners can have no peace with God, nor any from him, but through Christ. He gives thanks for their conversion to the faith of Christ; that grace was given them by Jesus Christ. They had been enriched by him with all spiritual gifts. He speaks of utterance and knowledge. And where God has given these two gifts, he has given great power for usefulness. These were gifts of the Holy Ghost, by which God bore witness to the apostles. Those that wait for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, will be kept by him to the end; and those that are so, will be blameless in the day of Christ, made so by rich and free grace. How glorious are the hopes of such a privilege; to be kept by the power of Christ, from the power of our corruptions and Satan’s temptations!”

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Perhaps the most difficult thing to face as a parent, duchess. We think when they are small that they are ours forever, to rear, protect and nurture. There are no pause or rewind buttons. So as the pace of life demands our attention in order to provide and keep our heads above water, it truly is most important to remind parents that their most precious gifts…. who one day will pursue lives of their own, released as the arrows they are from the bows of every mother and father…need that assurance that they are deeply loved, both on earth and in the heavens.
We believe they are ours. But as each of us is, they are the Father’s first; and we are the temporary caretakers of them until the day comes when we have to step aside and turn their well being and guidance over to Him.
I keep remembering the terrible floods in Kerrville this summer….so what you have left for us I find especially poignant. Because that day arrives sometimes sooner….
Hug them harder and often.
And tell them they are loved every chance you get.

Good evening Patience. I am enjoying all the photos and images you ‘ve provided. First chance I’ve had to really look at the thread. I’ve been grading papers all day.
Would love to have a bunch of these embroidered images of both dogs and cats to make a quilt. Quilting is my form of art, (putting together different colors and patterns of cloth) to form the quilt. I am not very good at embroidery. These are, what I consider, beautiful works of art. Thank you for the photo.

In a way, I grieve for those who are doing the identifications of the deceased. That has to be really hard on their psyche.
Imagine what those soldiers and marines tasked with graves registration had to go through during WW II! Especially those involved in big battles in the tropics.
