But then I think of all the promises He made about giving us eternal life, and how much He loves us, and I remember His word that says He’s not a man that He should lie or change His mind. He counted the cost of having redeemed human beings with Him for all eternity and it was a price that He paid gladly. So I think of His promises…and I’m content again. 🙂

We are thrilled at how well those two are getting along! Thanks for asking. Olive’s sore feet are improving and she’s put a little meat on her ribs.
Until the laminitis threat is cleared up, we keep them in a corral rather than let them out into a pasture, so we’ve been playing a little game with them and hiding low sugar treats around their enclosure. It’s kind of Easter egg hunt for burros!
They roam around sniffing and finding them.
I’ll get some new pics and post them.

Thanks for the update. I am thrilled they are getting along so well and Olive has put some meat on those ribs. I do hope her sore feet get much better. I bet it is fun to watch them look for the treats.
My boy just starts trying to get in my pockets for soft red and white peppermints. They are individually wrapped and when I rattle the plastic and say “lick your lips” he licks his lips in anticipation of the mint. They are so much fun to be around.
The fur crew are all well and feisty as ever.

Nothing new to add to the kitten’s story. They eat, then run around like rockets attacking anything they can and then “crash and burn” for a while. I’ve got to run out and get them some food this AM as I am almost completely out of their food. They eat like they will not have food available later. I guess it’s becuse they are growing so fast. Can not believe they are almost five months old already.
I sure am enjoying these wonderfully cooler mornings as I do my outdoor chores. I am praying you and yours have a blessed weekend.

Yes, cooler here as well. I have the door slightly open for the fresh air, and it is lovely. The fish n chips van which comes about every 3-4 weeks and parks up on a Kroger car park (Britspeak for parking lot) near to us is due today. So we will splurge (quite inexpensive) and enjoy the best we’ve found since returning from Blighty. A small treat which we look forward to. One order is enough for us as we ceased to be big eaters long ago. It takes very little to give us a lift…

Have not had any decent ones since a long time ago when I was in London on business, around the time of the craziness between the Protestants and Catholics. We were staying at a hotel at Heathrow and they closed it down because of bomb threats. What a night that turned out to be! When was that , the 80’s? Senior moment trying to recall the year!LOL
Have not been back since. Probably just as well with the way things have changed, and not for the good I might add. Sigh

Our home is in what has become a very desirable semirural area with much better than average school systems.
So now we are almost always having to fight off one thing or another to maintain what we Love about our area. We’re close enough to band together quickly and our state Rep lives out here too.
Earlier this year the city of Anderson wanted to start drilling new wells for city water out here. We fought that off.
Then some Chinese based plastics company wanted to build a plant out here. We fought off the rezoning for that crap by researching and learning that company had a terrible environmental record.
Then it was the proposed Data Center and we fought that off.
I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be a constant from here on out.
At least you have been successful so far! It is worth the fight to try and stop these destructive land use proposals.
The Chinese have polluted their entire country and are looking for fresh land.
Add the data centers to the acres of Chinese solar panels and acres of windmills and pretty soon we will be eating bugs.
Real men and women patriots of all colors are starting to show up at besieged ICE facilities in Portland and West Chicago and showing their support for ICE.
I have no doubt that if they came out in force the ANTFA cockroaches would scurry back into the woodwork from which they came.

Biography: Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi was a French sculptor, best known for designing the Statue of Liberty. His monumental neoclassical sculpture has become an enduring symbol of freedom and democracy worldwide. The towering figure holding a torch was conceived as a gift from France to the United States.
The Statue of Liberty was born from Bartholdi’s creative vision, and inspired by Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom. The statue was intended to commemorate the centennial of American independence, an embodiment of the values shared by the two nations. This artistic endeavor proved to be a major undertaking, demanding not only Bartholdi’s sculpting prowess but a significant engineering effort as well.
Gustave Eiffel, who later built the Eiffel Tower, designed the statue’s iron framework. The construction process involved assembling the statue in France, disassembling it into hundreds of individual pieces, and then shipping it to the United States for reassembly on Liberty Island in New York Harbor.

“Exhortations to purity and holiness. (1-8) To brotherly love, peaceable behaviour, and diligence. (9-12) Not to sorrow unduly for the death of godly relations and friends, considering the glorious resurrection of their bodies at Christ’s second coming.” (13-18)
(13-18) “Here is comfort for the relations and friends of those who die in the Lord. Grief for the death of friends is lawful; we may weep for our own loss, though it may be their gain. Christianity does not forbid, and grace does not do away, our natural affections. Yet we must not be excessive in our sorrows; this is too much like those who have no hope of a better life. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul.
