I’m a bit curious as to why you think the President is not aware of this.
It’s in the background of the President signing an Executive Order to defend Qatar if it ever gets attacked. And his saying how the Leader of Qatar is a “great man”, more than one time. Also many big deals with the Saudis.
I understand deals. But the Executive Order was a step beyond. It follows the Israeli attack on Hamas in Qatar.
Also it follows a lot of motion of US Forces to the area which makes one wonder if Iran is going to be hit again and this Order is more about Iran.
As an Israeli it bothers me when I see extra friendliness to a regime that funded and is hosting Hamas and is leading the media and protests against Israel with finances and media. I am also critical of Israel for letting them be the mediators for Hamas.
There is also a school of thought that says that this Executive order was a “pay” for them to stop working for Hamas and presenting the interests of Hamas. We shall see.

Well I for one would certainly go back to pre-NoCare coverage rules.
I had shopped for our company of 10ish people at the time when MSA>HSA was happening.
My owners SIL got hired & was tasked with shopping for healthcare & she was “in the insurance” biz before…
Long story short she wished to have us on a 70/30 plan with about a 20K out of pocket cost that was traditional insurance with co-pays on Dr visits & prescriptions. I thought it was outrageous, so I dug thru all the quotes she got & called and got more information on MSA’s which sounded promising but was stopped short in doing so as HSA’s were approved (probably by a slow congress) so we had to wait until after the first of the year to get finalized versions of HSA policies.
I promoted an HSA (which I think everyone should have) it had a 100% coverage option after deductible or an 80/20 after your deductible.
Once you hit your deductible (1,000$ at the time for single) everything else is no out of pocket expense for covered items.
Example I used to sell it to owner anyway was if you have a heart attack (as mechanic are heavy smokers/drinkers) your part is your deductible, 1,000$, rest is covered.
If you have a heart attack on that 70/30 plan with a 20k deductible, just a guess on my part but it’s gonna be 20k out of your pocket.
Bonus is you and the company can put money into an HSA account TAX FREE up to the deductible (which was the big difference between MSA & HSA that both could contribute).
We (the company) put 200$ a year into that savings account that you can spend on ANYTHING health related so, you could use it @ the dentist office & the optometrist office. (and I DID as well as max out the deductible tax free)
So the first complaints were, it doesn’t cover dentist/glasses, yes it does use the 200$ of free money we put into your HSA, have us put or you can send the HSA account moneys to use for that purpose.
Next complaints, I don’t have (up to) 1,000$ to pay for doctors, you will if you put money into the HSA & use the money that the company puts in 200 will be in there every year mind you.
Of coarse I retort that if we have the co pay plan you want, do you have 20K on ya for the heart attack that they more than likely will have? NO… well I suggest you put money in your HSA account if you need to use it as you will only need 1,000 if you have that heart attack.
The employees never used it, Owner & me were the only ones & we both maxed it out yearly, I still have money in mine 20 years later (wish I would have put in the HSA stock market account version when offered)
2 later employees that we hired when we grew got into maxing out the HSA (they knew me, I pilfered them from where we worked together in auto biz)
Even when I went out on my own & had long term health issues that would max out my deductible every year, I still got an HSA plan as I ran spreadsheets on all the various co-pay plans vs an HSA plan won every time $$$ wise every year maxed out.
The problem becomes as an insurance agent told me & experienced first hand… employees NEVER put money in the account which is why they changed MSA to HSA so company puts money in as employee WONT.
Managers+ generally understand the system & max it out with TAX FREE MONEY.
Since HSA money covers dentist / optometrists it negates having to have the SCAM insurance for those 2 things.
The plans insurance offers for dentist or optometry cover a max amount per year let’s just say 1,000$.
Guess what insurance company charges 1,000$ per employee & can only ever pay out 1,000$
Company pays 500, employee pays 500.
Insurance CO makes $$$ when it is not used by EVERY employee every year.>>>> SCAM as it is never used by everybody every year.
Same for both dental and optometry so company out 1K employee out 1K.
Much easier for company to just put extra money saved into the employee’s HSA account TAX free, if we were a bigger company we could just fully fund it & say that dental and optometry are covered up to the deductible of policy every year, would be cheaper than getting it thru an insurance company.
It’s a rather large $ saving if you don’t have to pay for all the adjusters & paper pushers behind the scenes and put the power back in the hands of the insured / doctor relationship instead of letting the doctor just … “do what my insurance covers” whether that fixes your issue is moot to the doctor, he’s getting paid, but you might not be happy with the results.
I guess I’ll digress from here before I take up the whole open thread.

Daughter had specialist doctor at the time. She needed him.
$2400 fake judgement against me due to predatory father… money for summer camp used for SPECIAL EDUCATION classes and school bus… for private school he PAID NOTHING towards… all from my income and basic child support.
Good old dad refused to pay his portion of non covered health expenses… always a fight.
The $2400 crushed me. Couldn’t get second job because of ObamanationCare.
My health premiums tripled from what I was paying before for self insurance. Never qualified for any social services… I was $200 above poverty line.
Suffered terribly and wasn’t allowed to tap into my home equity. Lender wouldn’t allow it.
Forced to sell…. former mortgage with HOA was $990… now rent over $2000/ month. (We had the cats to consider… couldn’t lose kiddo’s emotional support animals… shoot my support animals. Already lost one of the cats to this… and Savannah’s basketball hoop.)
Daddy’s big “win”? Our homelessness and a gain of $30/month in child support. What was his household income $190,000 a year. He spent $1400/ month just eating out and was piling $700/ month towards his retirement and lucrative lucrative stock options… plus he hid assets.
Daddy declared not responsible for her education despite not knowing her learning disability until it manifested later.
But that’s what happens when you can’t afford bulldog attorney 2500 miles away and you’ve no one to go to for a loan.
Why couldn’t I earn the $2400?
I worked for small business… Obamacare was created to drain the wealth off of middle America. It was an Obamanation (Abomination)… I did everything to try to protect our employees and find alternatives… not. even. possible.
Talked to high ups with IRS. Woman was so upset to be calling people like me to report they were poor and owed thousands of retroactive penalized tax credit clawbacks.
No one could get ahead. They keep you behind and in slavery. This is not health care.

Yes, I have heard of dry eye… and had friends with macular degeneration and such. Had our dear friend who was nurse anesthetist for an eye surgery center, but I’m not familiar with all the terminology or treatment options.
Our Idaho would certainly know… she has a testimony of becoming an expert on eyes.
I’m 52 but have worked in computers all my life… so my eyes are routinely challenged… moreso now that I think it’s just fatigue.
One has to know when to quit online activities and hide from media. Our brains and eyes need the rest.

After a mess-up in boarding a Turkish yacht some years back they are now also masters of Krav Maga (Israeli Martial Art) in addition to everything. David, you are certainly doing what you can but it needs to grow a million-fold to effectively counter the darkness facing us. Personally, I am very cognizant of the unseen forces influencing humanity and that is why I realize that in the end, Truth will need to be upheld by a Sovereign Creator actively, directly and personally influencing mankind towards His Sovereign will. Someday, every knee will bow to the Truth. In the meantime, this is a battle we CANNOT ignore.
I think that is pretty easy to communicate and understand… that disdain of a government or ruling authority… does not constitute the hate towards an entire people.
People can despise the illicit and demonic acts our government produces and still love our American people.
It is why I believe Putin hasn’t nuked America already. Just watch the Oliver Stone documentary, The Putin Interviews that Stone was eviscerated for by the left jackknobs. Stone was a liberal but he was also a Constitutionalist and that makes all the difference in the world.
I can pretty much say… that there are few ruling authorities throughout the world who aren’t corrupt to the bone.
It’s important we keep it in perspective. For instance… our hairdresser is Iranian. Her stories would knock you to the ground, she’s lived through so much. She loves Jesus, the Iranian people love Trump, and they’re praying for liberation. To be a Christian is a fate often punishable by death. I love her.

At the time, the then and current mayor of Boston instituted a ‘vaccine’ mandate for entry into restaurants. And she did that without the City Council, by the way. And the Mayor of Salem did the samed’ thing. She’s now the current Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts.
So here I was, a city I had gone and worked in and lived in for some time, I couldn’t even go out for a meal. And my daughter lived in Salem and so I couldn’t have a meal with my daughter.
And in the meantime, something I had never seen before in North America, I had seen in France, but I had never seen before in North America, was the truckers in Canada protesting the ‘vaccine’ mandate…. And they pretty much shut down Ottawa for a couple weeks.
At any rate, I wrote this song because I was very moved by what the truckers were doing, the truckers and other people were doing in Canada, and it is called Freedom Convoy I See the Crowds.”

Plymouth Colony leader, dies of strangury – caused by kidney stones or bladder cancer – at 72
Biography: Myles Standish was a military officer and early settler of Plymouth Colony. He played a key role in the defense and administration of the colony during its formative years.
Standish’s early life remains largely unknown. He served as a soldier in the Netherlands before the Pilgrims hired him as their military advisor. In 1620, Standish joined the Mayflower voyage to America and signed the Mayflower Compact.
Upon arrival in the New World, Standish led expeditions to explore the area and establish relations with Native Americans. He organized the defense of Plymouth Colony and conducted raids against perceived threats.
His aggressive tactics sometimes drew criticism, however, including from Pastor John Robinson.Standish’s most famous military action was the Wessagusset incident in 1623. He led a small group to confront Native American leaders, resulting in a violent confrontation.
As Plymouth Colony grew, Standish settled in Duxbury and took on administrative roles. He participated in land distribution and served as treasurer. Standish also engaged in trade and helped establish new settlements in the region.
Standish married twice and had seven children. He died in 1656 from a kidney stone condition. His legacy lives on through monuments, place names, and cultural references, including Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s poem “The Courtship of Miles Standish” (1858).

Biography: Created the modern lockstitch sewing machine (U.S. Patent 4,750).
Howe’s machine contained the three essential features common to most modern machines:
1) A needle with the eye at the point.
2) A shuttle operating beneath the cloth to form the lock stitch.
3) An automatic feed.
Howe was commemorated with a five-cent stamp in the Famous American Inventors series issued October 14, 1940.
In 2004, he was also inducted into the United States National Inventors Hall of Fame.

But like most golfers I always looked for an excuse.
Mine is a lady called Miss Reid.
As all keen golfers should know, a golf ball is feminine.
I mean you can flatter it, be nice to it, indulge it all sorts of ways, talk sweet nothings in its/her ear and then she goes and does what ever she wants and ignores your entreaties to go into the ‘damp’ hole!

They might even bring back the “local phone book” and even the “party line” to help reduce the cost of a landline.

COMMENTARY FOR JOHN 1
“The apostle and evangelist, John, seems to have been the youngest of the twelve. He was especially favoured with our Lord’s regard and confidence, so as to be spoken of as the disciple whom Jesus loved. He was very sincerely attached to his Master. He exercised his ministry at Jerusalem with much success, and outlived the destruction of that city, agreeably to Christ’s prediction, ch. #21:22|. History relates that after the death of Christ’s mother, John resided chiefly at Ephesus. Towards the close of Domitian’s reign he was banished to the isle of Patmos, where he wrote his Revelation. On the accession of Nerva, he was set at liberty, and returned to Ephesus, where it is thought he wrote his Gospel and Epistles, about A. D. 97, and died soon after. The design of this Gospel appears to be to convey to the Christian world, just notions of the real nature, office, and character of that Divine Teacher, who came to instruct and to redeem mankind. For this purpose, John was directed to select for his narrative, those passages of our Saviour’s life, which most clearly displayed his Divine power and authority; and those of his discourses, in which he spake most plainly of his own nature, and of the power of his death, as an atonement for the sins of the world. By omitting, or only briefly mentioning, the events recorded by the other evangelists, John gave testimony that their narratives are true, and left room for the doctrinal statements already mentioned, and for particulars omitted in the other Gospels, many of which are exceedingly important.”

All things were made by him, and not as an instrument. Without him was not anything made that was made, from the highest angel to the meanest worm. This shows how well qualified he was for the work of our redemption and salvation. The light of reason, as well as the life of sense, is derived from him, and depends upon him. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
