I am fully persuaded that these are just some basic examples and that this Scripture applies to “all these things” that you have need of.
Worship Him first. Magnify the Name of Jesus every chance you get. Delight yourself in Him and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
The Name “Jesus” from the Hebrew ultimately means, “The Self Existent One makes open, wide, and free.” He is The Deliverer.
God wants us to know that it is always His will to Deliver all who trust in Him.
The mystery is we don’t know when, where, or how…but He will deliver and worship keeps our trust alive in Him.

Native Americans didn’t “domesticate” dogs. That happened long ago with much earlier humans. Dogs have been with us for a very long time. This is easily found out. Do a little homework. . .

After reading your response, I looked and this is a very active scientific field. IE, the disagreements are rampant. When and where dogs were domesticated is a big fight. Some even put it over 100,000 years ago.
But I did find somebody citing the presence of dog’s bones in America 9 or 10 thousand years ago. And that there are some breeds that have inherited some genes from those early dogs in America. Unfortunately, the genetics are dominated by dogs brought here by Europeans.
So my hoped for complexities are there, but barely holding on.
But of course, this being Science, today’s answers will always be wrong tomorrow. (That is how Scientists build reputations. Nobody gets famous by saying Einstein was always right.)
Which begs another question. Did the Spanish write about it? They seemed to write about everything they found.
And what are the Native origin tales about dogs? Those should be plentiful, having brought dogs with them.
And while “culture” is mostly associated with humans, they have found jewelry made by both Neanderthals and by Denisovans. But hey, if we could crossbreed, we weren’t that far apart.
Now I am wondering how much Neanderthal DNA is required for Hitler’s true Aryan. Sorry, my mind wanders. But I do find that thought funny. Some claim the ability to cope at high altitudes came from Denisovan genes carried by those early natives. Others say Europeans interbred with Neanderthals. And we all know humans came from Africa. So very different from the racist vanities.
But this is an important possibility, IF dogs were domesticated from Asian or European wolves before humans left Africa, then YES, humans were culturally contaminated by preexisting culture.
As I said though. Huge scientific fight over the IFs. And there will undoubtedly be New Scientific conclusions tomorrow.
One last aside. It is always a big mistake to use Science to justify Religion. Science will change.
I think it is true that horses were brought to North America by Spanish explorers. The native Americans instantly saw the value of the horse and started breeding and domesticating them.
I wonder if the same is true of the cats they had on board to keep the mice down?
Where would humanity be without horses for transportation, cattle and chickens for food, and dogs and cats? None of them are fierce or dangerous and are easy to domesticate.

PFC Charles Noel Milam, age 20, was killed in action on January 31, 1944, as a result of probable enemy artillery fire during WWII. His unit, Company F, 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, landed at Anzio, Italy and was charged with helping to cut off supply lines to the enemy forces near Cisterna di Latina, Italy. He was killed while on patrol but his body was not recovered for some time due to continued heavy combat in the area. When his remains were finally recovered, he could not be positively identified, so he was listed as non-recoverable and buried in an American cemetery in Italy. In September, 2021 his remains were removed from Italy and returned to the US where he was positively identified in May, 2025. He was awarded many service accommodations including the Purple Heart.

My son will be taking one of the kittens and the professor I grade for is taking one of the kittens. That leaves momma and three kittens to find homes for. They are still quite active but then crash for awhile until they recharge, then they are flying projectiles attacking feet, legs and whatever else they can get a hold of. They are not near as lanky as they were (all legs and skinny bodies). They are beginning to gain weight and fill out. Every one of them has hugh “murder mittens”! I think they are going to be big cats as adults. They all also have very long tails, which they proudly display upright the majority of the time, or when they sit or lay down, are curled totally around their bodies. I am sure I will miss them when they are gone as they have become a very big part of my household, but I truly am exhausted most of the time just making sure they have clean litter boxes and are kept fed.
To eat my meals, I must close myself in my office so I do not have five pairs of paws trying to grab my food. Beau retreats to the office as well as they tire him out with their constant energy bursts and trying to play with his ears and tail.

I wanted to ask yesterday about these little souls and Cleo but refrained, knowing you would update in your own time. So glad two will have good homes and pray others will be found. I am unclear if you will keep Cleo or Cleo plus one. It is work…and expense of course. Especially vets, which I am seeing private equity entities like BlackRock, Blackstone, etc are in the process of buying up (the practices that is). Just as they are doing with mobile home parks where so many seniors live.
They then jack up the rates so those seniors on fixed rates find it harder, or worse impossible, to pay. Now the same with those vet practices they get their hands on, making it more difficult for people like you and me and others to afford the comfort of having an animal in our lives. If you want a description of evil, I’ve just given it to you.
I guess benighted Beau will be grateful for a little peace and to have you back all to himself…what a soldier he has been 💕
Our granddaughter nearest to us and the treasure of our lives is out of school today at noon. She’s a senior in high school. And she texted to see if she could spend the afternoon with us. No prizes for guessing what we said 😂 Her twin brothers are at uni, and she is the last of my oldest to leave home for wherever she is going college-wise. She was just inducted into the National Honour Society; and yes…I am Bucca Bragging!! Her life is so full with school and all which that means for a senior, friends, church, and a nannying job 3-4 days a week from early afternoon through early evenings, so our chances of seeing her at all are precious. I have wished many times that God had seen fit to equip us with a pause button….alas…

Betsy, I will not be keeping any of the cats for that very reason you state. Just can not afford the Vet bills. So evil to cause this, especially to our seniors.
Beau has not been back to the vet since I had him neutered when I first got him from the shelter. He was 10 months old and had been in the shelter awhile and was on the euthanasia list. Unfortunately the local shelter is not able to keep them forever. That was the reason I chose him. They did not know how long he had been a stray. He is very hyper when not here at the house, so I do not take him anywhere. He has a decent size yard completely around the house, fenced in. He seems quite happy with this arrangement. He never trys to go out of the gate when it is opened. He has not had any updated shots since his first, and he is quite healthy and not over weight. I put his flea stuff on him every month. I see no reason to have him get all those shots every year. I do not think it is good for the animals.
Look at the wolves and coyotes. They do not seem to be sickly, especially around here as they look well fed (thanks to grabbing one of my chickens every other day when I had a lot of them)! The chickens were too big and fat for the hawks to get, although they tried but just ended up with some feathers! Ha Ha.
Well, I will quit rambling.
You have every right, as a Grandmother, to brag all you want. I enjoy hearing about your family, as well as, hearing about other treepers families. I enjoy that so much. Bless you Betsy.

I think there’s a lot we’ve been, shall I say, gaslit about not only human “vaxxxxxines” but also those for our beloved cats and dogs. I am now seeing plenty of evidence to support this view on vets. And do you know….given what went on with mRNA during the covid years and now well beyond with all the other jabs, I believe it.
My sister in law in Wales used to keep beaucoup chickens on her small holding. Free range, a chickens delight, but at night she had an enclosed coop where she would lock them up for their own protection against foxes, their predator there. I won’t describe what part they always took and which they left before she had her coop constructed.
But the worst was the UK government which mandated that each British chicken be registered on penalty of ???? We weren’t quite clear So she has around 3-4 which, since she does not suffer fools, are NOT registered. Her little bit of rebellion. And being a horsey woman she would not be averse to telling the nanny state where they could go and by what means…as she and her horsey set friends have done when called for 😎

It was always fun to watch them interact with the herd later too. Then when they were weaned, I had one pasture just for the weaned foals. That was slso fun to watch as they settled the pecking order. Usually one of the mare foals was the dominant one when everything was settled! Have a most blessed and wonderful day.

Flemish physician and anatomist (De humani corporis fabrica), dies after being shipwrecked at 49
Biography: Andreas Vesalius’s fame rests on not one but two major achievements: the establishment of the study of Anatomy based on observations, and the publication of an anatomy text that would change not only medicine but book publishing forever.
Born in Brussel, Vesalius studied and taught at the prestigious progressive universities of Leuven, Paris and Padua. By dissecting cadavers himself he came to question the writing of the great Greek physician Galen, whose teachings were still standard 1300 years later. Veralius realised Galen’s teaching were based on dissections of animals not people.
Vesalius, while teaching in Venice had begun publishing anatomical illustrations to support his teaching. In 1543 he took this much further publishing “De Humani Corporis Fabrica Libri Septem (On the Fabric of the Human Body in Seven Volumes)”. This revolutionary book contained over 600 illustrations of the body, presenting the body in not only a naturalistic way but also an artistic one, and intermixed illustrations with text. It was made using woodblocks, probably the work of Flemish artist Flemish artist, Jan Stephan van Calcar.
Vesalius presented his work to the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V, who gave him a position as a physician to the royal household. He died in 1564 travelling home from visiting Jerusalem.

Biography: Samuel Adams was a politician in colonial Massachusetts and a leader in the movement that became the American Revolution. He was one of the architects of the principles of American republicanism that shaped the political culture of the nascent United States.
Adams was born in Boston in 1722 and was brought up in a religious and politically active family. By 1743, Adams had graduated from Harvard College. He then went on to become an influential political activist, focusing on the issues of British colonial policy.
Adams spoke out in particular against the British Parliament’s efforts to tax the colonies without their consent. He argued that this violated the colonists’ rights as British subjects.
Ultimately Adams helped organize resistance to the Stamp Act and played a vital role in organizing the Boston Tea Party. He was one of the first to argue for independence from Great Britain.
Later he was a delegate to the Continental Congress and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. He would also help to draft the Articles of Confederation.
After the American Revolution, Adams helped write the Massachusetts Constitution and subsequently served as governor of Massachusetts. Throughout his life, he continued to argue against all that he considered harmful to the rights of his fellow colonists.

Alec Issigonis

Greek-British automotive designer who designed the Mini, dies at 81
Biography: Alec Issigonis was a British-Greek automotive designer, best known for designing the Mini. This car, which has become iconic worldwide as a symbol of the British automotive industry, was created by Issigonis and launched in 1959 by the British Motor Corporation.
Issigonis was born in Smyrna, but his father had become a naturalised British citizen while studying in London. When tensions arose within Smyrna, his family was evacuated to Malta and then Issigonis moved to the United Kingdom after the death of his father.
His career in the automotive industry started at Humber, and he even raced an Austin Seven from the 1930s. His work on his supercharged “Ulster” version of this car led him to a job at Austin. After Austin, Issigonis went to work for Morris and then Alvis Cars.
By this point the British Motor Corporation had been formed by the merger of Morris and Austin, and Issigonis was brought back to work at the Austin plant by Sir Leonard Lord, who was the chairman of BMC at the time. He was tasked with designing three vehicles, the smallest of which was rushed into production: the Mini.
My daughter’s first car was a Mini! Bought in Peterborough England in 1990. The cutest car ever!

Also, hearing the vastly different professions of each of these HERO Reservists was powerful.
David, I haven’t watched these yet but I remember years ago hearing stories of Israel winning a battle after the last bit of ammo was used. Another time during conflict, planes were piloted by “someone” after the pilots had been killed. Goosebump time… There is a God, and He is very active in the affairs of men.

Would you see the importance of “teaching” your readers the content of our Constitution? Maybe do a series – going over it in small pieces – a little at a time. Don’t just type out the words sentence by sentence – give what the principles mean – and then give out some examples of how the premise can be APPLIED.
The Constitution is not complicated – it is plainly written and easy to understand. When I taught the free program “Biblical Citizenship” for Patriot Academy – I made up a game to include in the series called “Violate My Rights” to which I would give a snapshot of the abbreviated Constitution and players could compete with buzzers to answer which of their Constitutional rights were violated by a pretend issue… but those “pretend” issues were very much present in modern day society. This not only teaches the public how simple the Constitution is to understand, but how to read it, learn it, teach it, apply it, and assert it.
Until the public becomes skilled in this knowledge – they will never fully realize how at risk we really are of losing our precious Republic.

COMMENTARY FOR MATTHEW 10
“The apostles called. (1-4) The apostles instructed and sent forth. (5-15) Directions to the apostles. (16-42)1-4 The word “apostle” signifies messenger; they were Christ’s messengers, sent forth to proclaim his kingdom. Christ gave them power to heal all manner of sickness. In the grace of the gospel there is a slave for every sore, a remedy for every malady. There is no spiritual disease, but there is power in Christ for the cure of it. Their names are recorded, and it is their honour; yet they had more reason to rejoice that their names were written in heaven, while the high and mighty names of the great ones of the earth are buried in the dust.”

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

What must we do to eliminate fear?
