President Donald Trump will welcome Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu back to the White House at 11 a.m. EST, according to the official White House schedule.
The two men will then hold a bilateral meeting followed by a lunch. At around 1:15 p.m., the two leaders are expected to hold a press conference.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, President Donald Trump said he believed there may be a deal on Gaza.
“It’s looking like we have a deal on Gaza, and we’ll let you know,” Trump said. “I think it’s a deal that will get he hostages back. It’s going to be a deal that will end the war. It’s going to be a deal — it’s going to be peace. I think we have a deal.” However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was more reserved in his remarks as there are some contentious issues outstanding.
Don’t think there will be a deal. Hamas claims to have lost contact with two hostages. That wouldn’t have been implausible if they hadn’t used this subterfuge already a year ago:

The value of land in Gaza, to Israel, has been to ensure safety. That was always the objective of the border communities before Sharon uprooted them. As our own President has said, Israel gave them prime real estate and got only war – STUPID!
President Obama demanded that Israel shrink the demilitarized zone bordering Palestinian Gaza and the envelope communities of Israel bordering them. This only facilitated the tunneling and the accessibility of the Palestinian war footing when it invaded Israel, in the FAFO war in which Gaza has been reduced to rubble.
The current push in Israel is to use the Gaza outlines to create wider borders, not to expand greater Israel. The purpose of settlement is to situate a forward base of people who either coexist with neighbors who choose to, or bear arms against those who would otherwise go into the heart of Israel unimpeded.
Israel is not aiming at territorial expansion. Its borders are directly influenced by how to keep the heartland secure. Notice how there has never been border controversy south of Eilat, where Israel gave up valuable real estate. Why? Because the Egyptians and Bedouins are not invasive, not destructive, and are of a different culture than the Palestinians, who have been cultivated from birth to be genocidal to Israeli Jews. It is a hatred you cannot relate to unless you are one of the leftists who stood face to face with people they had helped in so many ways, from health care, to food, to jobs, to advocacy within Israel, only to experience their last moments being killed and even defiled by the people they dared to treat with humanity.
