A little story … my grandparents were married 67 years.
The family honored them with a small party for their 65th.
I sent a photo/brief write-up to their small town newspaper about the event.
I had asked my sweet grandmother the “secret” to a long marriage.
And, will never forget her words: Giving up was never an option; tho, we wouldn’t have made it without God.
I’m really missing my grandparents lately … in so many ways.
Listening to their stories, such as getting married at age 21.
Then, moving to the big city, Atlanta, 25 miles away, in a horse and wagon – taking all day.
Over the years, I’ve learned that “love” is a verb – we choose to do that.
Whether we feel like it or not!
Even if we’ve lost that “lovin feeling.”

The concept of the United Nations (and the League of Nations before that) is a noble and worthy one.. full of hope and created from the desire to build a better world through cooperation. The reality is that there will always be those (either nations or leaders) who will attempt to use the organization (UN) for their own political purposes. They appoint like-minded officials to positions of power within the organization and will use the “rules” to further their own agenda and block the implementation of anything opposed (even mildly) to their own agenda.

-I was wrong when I said that Bibi is going to meet Trump the next day. Apparently it will be this Monday.
Everyone is going to be in suspense until then. The plan that Trump has, if correct, will have to change to meet the Israeli terms too. As I said the catch is that “Hamas suppose to leave Gaza and disarm”. The only way they will agree is if they deceive and give a few guns and keep the majority, they could do it if the Arab nations will be the force on the ground. But Bibi is not n idiot. This is not going to be permitted.
Some in the Israeli right call it delusional plan. But to be fair and respectful I will wait and see how this all develops.
-NYT reported that the son of Witkoff (the negotiator) recently got billions from the Qatar Government, Kuwait and UAE for the Real Estate organization of the Witkoff family for real estate investments. This will produce hundreds of millions in revenue for the Witkoff family and the father (Steve Witkoff) is a share holder in the fund.
The Witkoff family responded and said that “the NYT is attacking them”, but they did not deny the allegations.
I know that the NYT is trash but if this is true, it’s a corruption of magnitude worse than the son of Biden situation. No link to the Trump family is known but the families are close and I can only hope that there isn’t.
Witkoff is trying to form a New Arab Order in the Middle East. If this is true he should resign immediately.
Specially when we are now getting a bad deal on the table that is following meetings with Qatar, UAE and others.
It’s not like me to spread negative rumors but I thought that this is news and you should pay attention until the matter clarifies one way or another.
-Bibi’s partner of the coalition , Ben Gvir, is threatening to make the Govenment fall if Bibi accepts a deal that lives Hamas alive and not defeated.
-Hamas says that they didn’t see any deal on the table and that they will never let go of their weapons. I am asking myself, is the Trump Administration delusional or what are we missing here? Time will tell.
I doubt that Hamas even has all the hostages and bodies available, likely not. And the deal is to give them all in 48 hours. And maybe the published deal is not correct? I will pray that Bibi gets back into cooperation and coordination with Trump in a good way for our victory.
-The IDF increased the attacks in Gaza. A very large area of Gaza City is already full of IDF. I would personally rather see Hamas crushes and defeated than this deal. But if they truly leave and disarm then why not. We just need to change the plan of who will manage the area afterwards and have a right to conduct operations when the other forces fail to handle terrorism from growing.
-Defense Minster of Israel is saying that we now have some 750,000 Gazans evacuated from Gaza City. He says that our forces are deeper and deeper and fighting bravely and killing terrorists. He says that if they don’t give the hostages back we will crush them completely.
-Starmer the Progressive Prime Minister of the UK is now the least popular of all in modern history. 66% are dissatisfied with him in the UK.
-What is going on? The US is expecting Iran to drop its nuclear ambitions, Hezbollah to lay down its weapons and Hamas to lay down its weapons and leave. Sounds very naive to be polite. Is this Steve Witkoff? Trump?

Concerning the hurricane report.
For days the model runs and the prognostications of the experts concerning the track and development of of what is now Tropical Depression 09L have been all over the place but now thing are becoming clearer.
As far as the question of development the big variable was if the disturbance would hit the mountains of Hispaniola.
As for track the question was how fast would the disturbance move which would be the determining factor in how it would interact with Humberto.
As I write this per the NHC Humberto is now a CAT V with 160 mph winds. The storm is still forecast to remain well out to sea as it turns in a ENE direction on Tuesday and passes north of Bermuda.

Now things are starting to get clearer. Tropical Depression O9L is likely to develop into hurricane Imelda by Tuesday. There is disagreement on how strong Imelda will get. Joe Bastardi is bucking the general consensus and thinks it will become a major hurricane while most others think it will be not become a major hurricane.
But I have saved the best news for last. Every expert that I monitor is saying because of the very slow speed of this storm over ground it is likely to be dragged out to the east by Humberto before it makes landfall in the Carolinas.
Joe Bastardi agrees with this but warns that from what he is seeing there is a possibility that Imelda will be pulled east and the Humberto will run away. Imelda could loiter and come back west. This is not Joe’s forecast at this time but he is warning it is something to keep and eye on.

COMMENTARY FOR HEBREWS 11
“The nature and power of faith described. (1-3) It is set forth by instances from Abel to Noah. (4-7) By Abraham and his descendants. (8-19) By Jacob, Joseph, Moses, the Israelites, and Rahab. (20-31) By other Old Testament believers. (32-38) The better state of believers under the gospel.” (39,40)
(1-3) “Faith always has been the mark of God’s servants, from the beginning of the world. Where the principle is planted by the regenerating Spirit of God, it will cause the truth to be received, concerning justification by the sufferings and merits of Christ. And the same things that are the object of our hope, are the object of our faith. It is a firm persuasion and expectation, that God will perform all he has promised to us in Christ. This persuasion gives the soul to enjoy those things now; it gives them a subsistence or reality in the soul, by the first-fruits and foretastes of them. Faith proves to the mind the reality of things that cannot be seen by the bodily eye. It is a full approval of all God has revealed, as holy, just, and good. This view of faith is explained by many examples of persons in former times, who obtained a good report, or an honourable character in the word of God. Faith was the principle of their holy obedience, remarkable services, and patient sufferings. The Bible gives the most true and exact account of the origin of all things, and we are to believe it, and not to wrest the Scripture account of the creation, because it does not suit with the differing fancies of men. All that we see of the works of creation, were brought into being by the command of God.”
(4-7) “Here follow some illustrious examples of faith from the Old Testament. Abel brought a sacrifice of atonement from the firstlings of the flock, acknowledging himself a sinner who deserved to die, and only hoping for mercy through the great Sacrifice. Cain’s proud rage and enmity against the accepted worshipper of God, led to the awful effects the same principles have produced in every age; the cruel persecution, and even murder of believers. By faith Abel, being dead, yet speaketh; he left an instructive and speaking example. Enoch was translated, or removed, that he should not see death; God took him into heaven, as Christ will do the saints who shall be alive at his second coming. We cannot come to God, unless we believe that he is what he has revealed himself to be in the Scripture. Those who would find God, must seek him with all their heart. Noah’s faith influenced his practice; it moved him to prepare an ark. His faith condemned the unbelief of others; and his obedience condemned their contempt and rebellion. Good examples either convert sinners or condemn them. This shows how believers, being warned of God to flee from the wrath to come, are moved with fear, take refuge in Christ, and become heirs of the righteousness of faith.”

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Faith is the substance of things unseen
What in the world does that really mean

Earth is still in the Quaternary Ice Age which has lasted 2.58 million years but could last for another 100 million years, as the most recent ice age did (the Karoo). All modern human societies arose in the recent Holocene interglacial beginning 11,700 years ago. Warm interglacial cycles usually last for 15,000 years.

In geologic terms, an “Ice Age” does not end until both poles are virtually ice free. Thus we are said to be in an “interglacial” period of an ongoing ice age. When it gets cold again and the ice sheets begin to advance we will be in a “glacial” period of the current ice age.

The reason why I started making these videos is that I’m 67 years old and I have a new grandson. I fear that I may not be able to share the love of the outdoors with him in person and to be able to pass on the skills that I’ve learned. As we all know, once on the internet, it’s there for ever. I’m hoping this is true and that someday my grandson will sit down and watch his grandfather.
Technology has changed so much that any recording medium soon becomes obsolete and not compatible with new tech. Think about albums to 8 tracks, to cassettes, to CDs, to MP3 players, to music on demand. Film has followed the same path.
