NBC fake news this morning (“Willie Geist Show”) was very worried about “TRUMP’S ATTACKS ON FREE SPEECH” via the Jimmy Kimmel suspension.
As part of the hit-job, the insufferable anti-Pope Rand Paul I pontificated with the trite observation of how “dangerous” it was for “the government to be deciding” what is free speech and what is not.
Except…in certain cases the government does indeed decide – and must indeed decide – what is free speech, e.g. children being recorded, while they are assaulted for the perverted pleasure of pedophiles.
The government did not in L’ Affaire Kimmel e.g. send in the police to silence Kimmel: he was silenced by his employer, the American Broadcasting Company, who was influenced by the audience/affiliates and their dislike of his remarks.
Kimmel was suspended because his employer did not consider his comments to be marketable and a way to earn money!
When you lose money for your employer, you will lose your job!
Kimmel’s “talent” is supposedly being funny: when he stopped being funny and became offensive, he started to lose money for A.B.C., when his audience via the local stations said: “We are not paying for this man’s performances any more.”
I believe that is something akin to “democracy.”
Recall that the U.S. government is supposed to be “We, the People.”
“We, the People,” have decided that Jimmy Kimmel can still say whatever he wants…but he will not receive money for it!
On a different topic: one of our friends is a retired nun, very severely crippled by arthritis, able to move only her right hand, head, and neck.
We visited her last week and, at one point, she began to lament the state of the country, and mumbled that “we need to get rid of him and make things better.”
So I said, knowing the answer: “Get rid of whom?”
“TRUMP!”
“And why?”
“Oh, he’s just so awful!”
“What has he done that’s so awful?”
“Oh just everything!”

“Oh, he says such terrible things!”

“Oh, I don’t know. He hates immigrants!”

The poor woman’s reactions were interesting, similar to Robby the Robot in the classic movie Forbidden Planet, where the robot, programmed to never kill a human being, is told to shoot the captain of the spaceship. The contradiction causes static in the machine’s brain and Robby freezes, unable to do anything. Our friend’s eyes blinked rapidly, and she could not think of anything to say.
So I added: “You are against war, I assume?”
“Well, sure!”
“Do you know that President TRUMP has already stopped some small wars?”
“Oh no!” (Complete disbelief, that did not happen!)
“Yes, he did! Two countries in Africa stopped fighting, and thanked President TRUMP for mediating the peace!”
“Well, I don’t watch FOX News!”
Her implication was that the story is a hoax from FOX News. So we found a reference to it on the Internet via the cell-phone.
So I continued: “You do know that he is also trying to stop the Ukrainian War.”
“How can he do that when he’s on Putin’s side?”
“He is not on Putin’s side! He is not on anyone’s side, except the side of stopping the killing. He just told the Europeans to stop buying Russian gas and oil, to squeeze Putin and force him to stop the war.”
Again the reaction was a frozen, static-in-the-brain stare of disbelief.
“He also wants the Europeans to stop supporting the corrupt Ukrainian dictator Zelensky. But they will not, because too many of the European politicians get their governments to send Zelensky aid, but a good amount is stolen by Zelensky for himself and some is funneled back to those European politicians.”
“Well, I don’t know anything about that!”
“You can look it up: one Ukrainian politician estimated that Zelensky stole $10 billion dollars. And he shut down investigations into corruption in his government. He also shut down Russian Orthodox churches in the Ukraine: no Freedom of Religion there! So President TRUMP has been trying since his inauguration to shut down Biden’s War over there.”
“Biden’s War?”
“Biden – or his handlers – started it by insisting that the Ukraine had to become part of NATO. Putin warned Biden not to do that, or he would invade the Ukraine. Biden and NATO still pushed for it, and so Putin invaded!”
Again, a frozen reaction with no comment. The stare and inability to speak further led us to smile and change the subject.
We have known too many Catholics, who blind themselves to the infanticidal side of the Communist DEMS and other demonic policies, and vote for them consistently, using the rationalization that “you have to look at the whole picture. Democrats are always helping the poor. Republicans just want to tax them!” (Yes, that is a real quotation!)
So, killing babies is just fine, as long as you are “helping the poor.”

We really need an amendment to the Constitution that states that only a person who was a citizen at birth can hold any elected office at any level (even down to school board), any judge or magistrate position at any level, or any appointed position at the federal level.
Reading Mr. Dodgson’s comment reminded me … the Mexican constitution calls for political activity by any person who is not a Mexican citizen to result in expulsion of that person from the country.
Not a bad provision. We’ll probably not get anything similar put into law in the US.
But it’s a good reminder that we need to be personally intolerant in things like this.

The chapter and SRA’s national headquarters both told The Daily Wire that Tyler Robinson, who is charged with murdering Kirk in that state, was not a member, but did not answer whether his transgender-identifying boyfriend Lance Twiggs was, citing confidentiality policies.
