I have never told this story publicly before: When my own family faced real danger, my home damaged by fire, bullets flying on our block, my infant child and wife under threat, Charlie Kirk literally gave us his house to stay in as long as we needed as we searched for a new place to live in Florida. We were there for months. Charlie never asked for a thing in return. I have a home in Florida and a thriving, growing family because of Charlie Kirk. That’s the type of man he was. Multiply that by millions of young lives, and you see the force he was. We must carry forward his mission.

The longer time moves forward with no suspect apprehended, the more I am convinced this was a professional hit.
This was not some CIA/FBI recruit junked up on SSRI’s, inflamed, then given his one-way mission (like Trump’s attempt on his life was in Butler). No, this is beginning to bear the marks of a paid assassin who wants to live to collect their payment.

We attended a funeral today for a brother-in-law’s (by marraige) brother.
A close knit family with a strong sense of religious devotion.

I don’t think people realize yet what a huge hole was just placed in the MAGA conservative movement. Charlie brought in the young voters who are key to the future fight against the evil always lurking. He engaged with them everyday, taught them how to think for themselves, encouraged and praised them, gave them some meaning and how to see the truth. He is a unique person with such intelligence and ability to connect to people. There are very few people ever born who were like him. What happens now to MAGA and the supporters who insist we must carry on his legacy is anyone’s guest.

It is very strange that no one is talking about it!
I know it’s all speculation at this point but if any of the reports of the two suspects taken in yesterday are accurate such as claiming they were the shooter or carrying a scoped rifle, why in the hell would they already be released. Wouldn’t they hold them and interrogate to ensure they still aren’t connected somehow?
There has been some speculation that the first suspect might have been a planned venue distraction to allow the shooter to escape. If so, then there is a lead in that accomplice. Perhaps they already have interrogated him, and are now watching to track his activity for further evidence.
That the shooter got away and remains so this morning is not encouraging. I suspect the shooter is hiding in a local safe house, as this appeared very planned, and that is the usual method during the initial local law enforcement “manhunt”.

I have only recently been aware of Charlie.. I have been occassionally watching clips of him questioning blue hairs (boy has that image changed!). He was obviously a man of deep faith and conviction and amazingly respectful of young people.
This was a hit, a successful hit. If they do not find the guilty, we are doomed. (Maybe I should say, if they do not publicize the guilty) Every freedom we used to enjoy is done because this is not the last murder there will be. I truly think Trump’s ear was God’s protection but He must have wanted Charlie home. I’m getting weepy again. My prayer is that what is good in this country will win but evil is certainly enjoying this.

Remember that this was not a government official event where USSS might provide better venue coverage, so security was limited to the private staff and any local LEO presence (which I understand was not substantial).
However, being a college campus in 2025, there should have been ample security camera coverage of all the relevant school buildings, and capture of all visitors entering and leaving all the buildings. I can only hope that investigators are carefully analyzing all that video to identify the shooter entering and leaving the building from which he fired.

Magistrates in county or municipal courts often do not posses law degrees, but have experience of long term paralegals and court clerks, in addition to a serious amount of continued education hours. The few I have known truly possessed everything needed but the technicality of a law license itself and in most cases were better than many lawyers.
Unfortunately no law degree requirement does allow for what you had at play in NC. Doesn’t appear she had a 6th grade education.
It should have conditions of law degrees being waved in exchange for serious equivalent experience. Also they tend to be elected not appointed. Not sure about NC’s placement process.

I did not watch or follow Charlie Kirk much. He was a very young man talking primarily to young people, and I am an old man only trying to share my modest wisdom across the years as twilight approaches. But I know from family members he was enthusiastically appreciated by the youngsters as a sensible voice of reason who connected at their wavelength. A good man.
I think Mr. Kirk was a particularly historical figure for his ability to debate contentious issues publicly without acrimony, and to disagree without threats or violence.
His deep faith, his respect for others even in disagreement, and his graceful logic and intellect were his tools, his shield and his sword in this struggle.
I think the best way to honor Charlie Kirk is to continue on in the struggle he was fighting alongside of us, in the way and in the spirit that he did so.
We must continue to debate publicly without acrimony, and disagree without violence. Gracefully, with logic and intellect.
I believe Mr. Kirk would have wanted that response to his sacrifice. And it was also the way of MLK and others who I remember being similarly assassinated many decades ago for who also pursued peaceful debate and resolution. None of them advocated for aggression or violence. And in the end, they won and have been remembered far greater than their time here.
I know that it is extremely difficult for many with Mr. Kirk’s violent loss so fresh, and I have had some younger family members tell me the time for debate and talking is over, and wanting a more aggressive response:
“Charlie was the best of us. Now they will deal with the worst of us”.
This is not the way, and not the way I think Mr. Kirk would have wanted it. I know from scripture it is not the way the Lord would want it either.
This is ultimately a spiritual struggle, a struggle between truth and lies, between love and hate, between God and godlessness, between good and evil.
If we respond in kind as they have, eye for eye, hate for hate, blow for blow, then we have spiritually abandoned our cause, and the cause that Mr. Kirk was fighting for. We become them. And their spiritual patron wins.
Justice will find his murderers, whether we do or not. And Justice is eternal.
Keep doing as we have been doing, as Mr. Kirk was doing. Mr. Kirk was winning. We are winning. It is why they are resorting to hateful violence. It is why they will lose even harder now. Hatred and violence always loses.
Continue to fight, as Mr. Kirk fought. With grace and with love. That is the way forward.
It is a fight for hearts, and minds, and souls. Many are still undecided, and are lost in an open field of doubts, just like all those kids standing in the college courtyards. They are looking for what is right. Win them, for God. Just as Mr. Kirk did.

Higher PTB have teed the Left up to be a very present danger – they will either massacre the Right “for the good of the people, to save Democracy”, or be revealed as a demographic which, through their psychotic and blind hatred, has become completely incompatible with civilized society – and must necessarily be removed.
Once primed….who’s next on that list?
