Good morning Garrison. Nice music. Thank you. Haven’t been on TCTH much this past weekend. I had over 90 English Vocabulary quizzes to grade on Saturday. Professor also has one online class and I was grading those as well, but was having trouble accessing those, very frustrating!
Also went to a Farmers Market in Denison which is only opened from 9:00-Noon on Saturday. I took a chance they would be open even though it was pouring rain here. They were open but the minute I parked, it rained so hard I could not see through my windshield and there was lots of lightening. Sat it out, as the farm I buy produce and fruit from was there despite the rain. The fresh fruit and veggies were well worth the trip.
Then Sunday after church, friends took me out for a belated birthday lunch (birthday was Friday the 29th). We went to a small Mexican restaurant and I had the best chicken street tacos, rice and beans.

Afternoon/revening dear Pat. I have a shelf with a stack of old, old, graded papers. I think I’ve kept them all this time so they can be a reminder of those earlier times. Really enjoyed my several decades of teaching but I was *so* done with it all when I retired. I’m still in contact with former colleagues who are good friends, but haven’t set foot on a campus in years. In the current higher-ed environment I’d be a fish-out-of-water fer’ sure. Back in the day, we were real classroom virtuosos. Happily we still have great conversations whenever we meet.

maybe I can discuss your “down time” when you might NOT be conscious of the “GOD VIBE” flowing through you, or it might not be “shining as BRIGHT as other times”.
We all have those times, when we are tired or ill, or something happens to “frighten you, scare you, or other “STUFF’ happens.
What do you do? Do you have GOD type activities to “practice” to “turn up the LIGHT” in you?
Practice those activities , and get better at those activities. (that work for you).
One practice I have been doing for many years is this one:
GOD, fill me with YOUR LOVE, so I can SHARE YOUR LOVE with everybody!
GOD, fill me with YOUR PEACE, so I can SHARE YOUR PEACE with everybody.
God fill me with YOUR INNER JOY, so I can SHARE YOUR Joy with everybody.
That is one of my favorite things to do. Now, the POWER comes as I breath as I do it, I call it GOD BREATHING . Over months and YEARS of doing this “simple prayer”, stuff happens. AT first, you will feel GOOD as you pray that prayer, and nothing around you will change. I didn’t see much change in my “world” in the beginning. BUT I prayed that prayer , over and over again, GOD BREATHING as I did it. I felt GOOD.
But over years of doing it, THINGS did start to change! At first FISH noticed me, and followed me, and I COULD FEEL THE FISH! I was very surprised with this. It was the very first time this GOD BREATHING seem to have a change in world. Then I really started to do the Prayer and God BREATHING more and more.
Then other animals noticed me, and I COULD FEEL THEM TOO. And more and more ANIMALS felt me, and hung out with me. It was amazing, other animals could sense me … and did it when I was around them. Then little children under 5 years old Noticed me, and I could FEEL the children. It was amazing for me. Little stuff like that made me HAPPY. I COULD FEEL THEM. Then I realized I was dead before I started this prayer and GOD BREATHING. I saw the world, but did not “FEEL the world”, so in a way I was socio-path. Maybe humans that don’t do some type of “prayer” or meditating , start out like this. I sometimes look at teenagers, and I can see, some of these teenagers don’t feel “other people” and can do “mean things to people and animals”.
Well, I just gave one example of something to do, if you are not “currently buzzing with the GOD VIBE.

Good morning.
Kiko is expected to rapidly intensify into CAT 4 strength. Though most model members are showing it passing south of Hawaii the bulk show it passing close enough that it bear watching.
The other near the coast of Mexico NOAA shows as tropical depression 12E. But a look at the satellite image from yesterday make it clear it is a more than just a depression and is no doubt already a Tropical Storm as you will see below. This TS is the one I hinted at possibly recurving into the desert SW of the US. It is all a matter of how fast it moves. If it moves quickly it can beat the sheer that is expected to tear it apart in a 2-3 days and could bring flooding rains into the deserts.

Dahan later identified one of Marciano’s alleged attackers as the same individual who assaulted him. “They’re paid $150 for three hours to protest. They’re very violent,” Dahan said.
Marciano’s cousin, Guy Illouz, was abducted by Hamas from the Nova music festival on October 7 and later killed in captivity. Another cousin was killed during Israel’s 2014 Operation Protective Edge.
Yet Marciano insists he will not hide his Jewish identity. “I lost one cousin in this war and another in Operation Protective Edge. I won’t take off my Star of David,” he said.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Finally got most of my utility trailer fixes and upgrades completed.
Resealed the bed.Rewired the lights with LED’s. Installed a spare tire carrier with an actual spare tire. Installed garage door springs inside the top tube rails so i don’t have to wrestle the 40lb ramp up and down.
only thing i have left is to repack wheel bearing with new grease.
I absolutely love the spring in the tube idea. I hate hooking onto a trailer with the gut feeling that at least one light is out. Even a small marker light out irritates me.

J. R. R. Tolkien

British author (The Hobbit; The Lord of the Rings), dies of an ulcer at 81
Biography: Although J. R. R. Tolkien spent most of his working life as an academic, he is most famous today as the author of the epic fantasy novels “The Hobbit” and “Lord of the Rings”.
Tolkien’s academic areas of expertise were Old and Middle English and early European mythology and he drew on this knowledge to create his fantasy worlds, including inventing his own elvish languages.
Tolkien wrote his fantasy tales in his own time and mostly for his own amusement. From 1930 he came up with lighter versions of his stories for his children, resulting in “The Hobbit” his first book, published in 1937 and centering on the adventures of the hobbit Bilbo Baggins.
17 years later Tolkien published the darker and much longer “The Lord of the Rings” (1954) in three parts. It is one of the best-selling novels ever, selling over 150 million copies. Film director Peter Jackson produced a successful film trilogy of the novels (2001-2003) which won 17 Academy Awards.

South African cardiac surgeon who performed the 1st heart transplant, dies from a severe asthma attack at 78
Biography: Christiaan Neethling Barnard was a South African cardiac surgeon who performed the world’s first human-to-human heart transplant. His landmark operation in 1967 marked a significant milestone in medical history.
Born in South Africa, Christiaan Barnard was the son of a minister, Adam Barnard, and Maria Elisabeth de Swart. He excelled in his studies, graduating from Beaufort West High School in 1940.
Barnard received his MB ChB degree from the University of Cape Town Medical School in 1945. He completed his medical training at Groote Schuur Hospital, where he later earned a Master of Medicine and a doctorate for his work on diseases such as tuberculous meningitis and intestinal atresia.
Barnard subsequently received a scholarship to train in the United States with esteemed surgeons like Owen Harding Wangensteen and Walt Lillehei. On his return to South Africa, he led the Department of Experimental Surgery at Groote Schuur Hospital.
At Groote Schuur, Barnard ventually becoming a full-time lecturer and Director of Surgical Research at the University of Cape Town. By 1961, he was appointed Head of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the university.
The pivotal moment of Barnard’s career occurred on December 3, 1967, when he performed the first successful heart transplant on patient Louis Washkansky, using the heart of Denise Darvall, a young woman who had died in an accident.
Although Washkansky succumbed to pneumonia 18 days after the operation, the procedure was a medical triumph and put Barnard on the global stage. His subsequent transplant on Philip Blaiberg, who survived for 19 months, demonstrated the further potential of this new surgical method.
Barnard continued to innovate by developing the heterotopic heart transplant technique and exploring the potential of xenotransplantation with animal hearts. While setbacks such as organ rejection were common, his persistence helped promote the use of cyclosporine, significantly improving transplant success rates.
Barnard’s personal life was marked by the pressures of fame, with multiple marriages and high-profile relationships, including a widely reported affair with actress Gina Lollobrigida. He also established the Christiaan Barnard Foundation, focusing on aiding disadvantaged children.
