Can someone please help me to understand how the law is applied to this new fad of stealing one’s home equity?
A crook decides to go through public records to find people who own homes with no mortgages. They then create a phony deed with a differnt name than the real owner. They present this fake deed to a bank/mortgage broker and get money. The bank/mortgate broker takes your home when you can’t pay the loan. The crook enjoys his/her ill gotten money from the bank.
I thought it was illegal to be in possession of stolen property. If the bank accepts stolen property in exchange for a fraudulent loan how on earth does the defrauded owner become responible for the banks lack of due diligence in verifying ownership of the property?
Obviously the banks/mortgage brokers are aware of this scam. Why aren’t they responsible for changing thier practices to ensure they are not receiving stolen property in exchange for their money? Stating they did not know the property was stolen is not a valid defense for anyone else caught with stolen property. If you honetly didn’t know it was stolen you are still required to call the authorities and give them the property so they can return it to its rightful owner.
Why are they allowed, apprently legally, to profit off of stolen property and keep that stolen property?
I have a simple solution for this problem. It relies on the true property owner paying attention to their email. Of course, you are right about banks not doing their job and making this horrible crime possible.
Whenever there is a request of any kind for information on property at the county courthouse, the county must send an email to the owner of record that includes the date, time, and nature of the information requested.
If you as an owner did not make the request, you will know something is wrong.
I have suggested it a few times at various county level political events. This theft has spawned a new business, title theft insurance. As for me, I just check online once a month to see if I am still listed as the owner.
I’m in Tulare County, CA. Until about 3 years ago I could check online, too. But Tulare County took all the Public Records offline several years ago. Now you can either pay the county a fee to access the database online (not cheap) or physically go the the Hall of Records and check their records.
They don’t notify deed holders of any requests for property information here.
I have thought the same thing patty. The only expense may be the legal fees and time required to prove the fraud?
The rules are written by lawyers for the banking industry. Just in the same way YOU are not allowed to charge more than 10% interest on a loan, but banks are allowed to charge as much as 29% interest on credit card debt
Usually an appraisal must be done before the bank will give out any moey.
The appraisal process will include checking all deeds with the county clerks office and contacting the people named on the deeds.
The bank also does a title search checking on ownership.
The bank can not place a lien on property that involves fraudulent paperwork.
I do not understand banks giving out money so easily.
Banks are regulated either by the feds or by the State via legal charter to do business.
They must comply with the rules and regs of the chargter.

So the prince of this world TELLS you it is EVIL/BAD to open your spiritual and soul senses!

Even on this site, we have people telling you to NOT OPEN your soul/spiritual senses, there are “evil, dark forces” that will “get you”.
These ignorant people want you not to open your GOD GIVEN spiritual/soul senses. They want you deaf and blind … so dark forces can control you!
So listen to your government and others that are possessed by “dark forces” … or OPEN your inner eyes and ears … and see the DANGER you are in! And really start PRAYING and MEDITATING … to JESUS and GOD TEAM TO protect you! Sundance has spent YEARS trying to help you realize how “dark forces” are in government . Your “leaders” betray you.

I see these “dark ones” … since I died at 18 years old. And back then they did scare the bejesus out of me. People that open their spiritual and soul eyes … many times are taken to doctors … to be given meds to block out what they see and hear. You guys are aware of the pharmacology scam, the government wants to keep you deaf and dumb. To bad, if you do open your inner senses, you HAVE TO PRAY and MEDITATE to get educated by TEAM GOD members.
Ponder it! And then hide or pray/meditate … and become part of TEAM GOD.
Also with GOD force in you, the “dark ones” don’t stand a chance. Without GOD force you don’t stand a chance against the “dark ones”.

When GOD descended from the spiritual clouds at 18 years old, HE appeared to me , in a way that would not scare me, and HE did talk to me using Psalms … that seemed like “interesting stuff”, it did comfort me, and GOD did tell me a lot of stuff, but I have forgotten .. it happened over 50 year ago for me. I really, really was crying before GOD came, I saw these dark powers for a week after I died, and I was scared … and frightened … and REALLY, REALLY prayed like I never did before and asked GOD to HELP ME. And he did, but, back then, I was 99 percent ego, … and over the decades had to practice GOD methods to stay AWAKE in soul and spirit! I’m in my 70’s now, …
I do know the bible, and maybe in a way some might not. I had to practice this stuff (spending hours/days, months, years, decades … practicing GOD stuff from my inner teachers, … to deal with “dark beings” and move up into higher planes. When you OPEN up your inner senses, you can tell the people that have “invisble walls around them”. (they are closed off the inner seeing and hearing). Maybe it is good … to “sleep” if you are not ready to open those inner senses. Death experience did OPEN stuff in me, and I had no choice … I had to learn the GOD way … people around me stayed asleep … and I had to let them sleep, so I went alone learning GOD stuff … and not telling others.

(1-4) “As Christians are freed from the ceremonial law, they must walk the more closely with God in gospel obedience. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Retired Magistrate here: Looked out the back windows this morning and saw our resident turkeys taking a stroll through the yard. These two have been hanging around for the last year or so. We have a fox in the woods next to us and of course coyotes. Several groups of deer pass through on a regular basis making it impossible to have a vegetable garden but that is OK. One of the mother deer brought her baby up to show me. Baby was curious but kept a safe distance away under the watchful eye of Mom.
In the evening we hear the Baird Owls calling to each other along with the Screech Owls. We live across the road from Scioto River and there are a pair of Bald Eagles that cruise up and down the river. At the bottom of our exciting, steep driveway there is an overflow pond from the river and at times I have seen Beaver, Mink and Otters. Alas, it was a Mink that cleaned out my goldfish pond; so no more goldfish.
GOD’s creation is so beautiful. Today on this Labor Day, get outside and experience the wonder of GOD’s creation.

Consider the ideas and the deep devotion to Hamas and the Palestinian ideas along with the riots a while back…, anti Christians and abortion crowds…the obsession with immigration versus legalities…
I was having a conversation with a Treeper about “cults”…was reminiscing about the cults of the 70’s. I know a young lady who got sucked in and lost her money, her car and horses (she was the child of wealthy parents and no it wasn’t me, no wealth in my bloodlines). Thank goodness her dad protected her to some degree, financially. However, dad went the route of hiring someone to ‘get her back’ (kidnapped) and then have her ‘deprogrammed’ from the off shoots of Moonies, Hari Krishner etc, new religion movements.
Dr. Lapado is on to something….and I think it might be even more than he might realize as we look at how much of a fluster cluck society has become.
