Youtube has begun putting ads on their guitar and now coffee shop music videos. Of late what used to be a short .17 sec ad has increased to much longer advertising. Tonight I had to wade through a number of advertising laden videos before I could find videos to post here.
I find this annoying in the extreme. I’ve enjoyed putting up music videos for my Treeper friends. However, it appears that Youtube has handily found a way to transform an enjoyable activity into something this is both tedious and onerous.

Hamas has to be made to see their situation as so hopelessly threatening to them on a personal level that they feel under constant threat. When things got that personal ideology itself becomes intensely personal—not all Hamas soldier actually want to be martyrs and those that don’t will desperately want to avoid what they now regard as as waste of time that directly affects them personally. When this happens, the hostages instantly loose value as hostages. Recognizing that they are identified as “hostage holders” (and not wanting the IDF to come after them personally) the Gaza Hamas soldiers may very well simply let the hostages go.
Ariel Sharon once said: “Every time that we surprised them they gave up and surrendered or fled, every time that we did what they expected they fought till the last bullet”. I hope they have some surprises.

Don’t want to jinx it but………..I. think we found her! She’s a very petite 20+ year old, Very shy, timid little girl named, Olive.
We went to meet her today and her Mom came to check out our place.
The best part is that she is only a few miles away at a horse farm/hacienda and they can transport her. Her mom thinks one of the reasons she is so shy is that she is surrounded by only horses, and she may benefit from a burro buddy.
I am quite literally praying they get along.

COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 118
“It is good to trust in the Lord. (1-18) The coming of Christ in his kingdom. (19-29)
19-29 Those who saw Christ’s day at so great a distance, saw cause to praise God for the prospect. The prophecy, ver. 22,23|, may refer to David’s preferment; but principally to Christ. 1. His humiliation; he is the Stone which the builders refused: they would go on in their building without him. This proved the ruin of those who thus made light of him. Rejecters of Christ are rejected of God. 2. His exaltation; he is the chief Cornerstone in the foundation. He is the chief Top-stone, in whom the building is completed, who must, in all things, have the preeminence. Christ’s name is Wonderful; and the redemption he wrought out is the most amazing of all God’s wondrous works. We will rejoice and be glad in the Lord’s day; not only that such a day is appointed, but in the occasion of it, Christ’s becoming the Head. Sabbath days ought to be rejoicing days, then they are to us as the days of heaven. Let this Saviour be my Saviour, my Ruler. Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him, — Col 2:6
The daily walk of the Christian is vital because it serves as our witness to the world. Our character, seen through our behavior, is the world’s only Bible and sermon (2 Corinthians 3:2-3). Let us strive to walk in a way that pleases God and blesses others. At first, walking with God requires careful attention to each step, but over time, it becomes the natural habit of our soul
(Colossians 1:10).
We first received Jesus by faith, opening the door of our hearts to Him as our Lord and Master. In the same way, we must live each day by faith, continually receiving grace upon grace from Him and allowing what He works in us to flow out in love, kindness, and Christlikeness. As we learn to depend on Jesus for every need, it becomes second nature to turn to Him in every circumstance. This is what Paul means when he says we are to be “rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith.”
However, this walk is only possible if we have learned to “crucify the flesh with its passions and desires” (Galatians 5:24). The flesh is our self-life, whether in subtle or gross forms. Whenever self takes over, it has a negative effect on our actions and words. Just as a ship’s iron hull can interfere with the compass, so our self-life can distort our character and hinder our walk with God.
How can we crucify the flesh? Only by yielding to the Holy Spirit’s control. He makes the cross dearer and more effective in our lives. He will conquer sinful habits in us as we surrender to His power. If we allow the Spirit to lead us, we will not only be delivered from the self-life, but we will also produce the fruit of holy living that pleases God and blesses others.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
May Your Holy Spirit be ever with us, guiding and sustaining us with Your divine grace, that we may walk faithfully before You. Amen.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

So…….woke up this morning at 2am to a strange sound coming from the dining room. It was a skunk – In My House!!!!
Wrangled 8 cats and 2 dogs into the bedroom before spending an hour capturing Pepe Le Pew! Been cleaning since.
I’ve set out bowls of vinegar – washed all the hard surfaces with peroxide and baking soda, taken rugs outside to be cleaned when I regain some energy.
Any tips from you smart Treepers are welcome.

To treat a dog sprayed by a skunk, first check their eyes for irritation and rinse them with cool water if needed. Then, bathe your dog with a mixture of 1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide, ¼ cup of baking soda, and 1-2 teaspoons of dish soap, letting it sit for five minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
There are commercial products to remove the scent that work well from reports.

We were very very fortunate that the animals were not sprayed. Phew! In fact, our pups who have been sprayed in the past, went straight to our bedroom and stayed put. I used that exact concoction on Kari and Kelli when they were sprayed in the past. It does temporarily make their black fur brownish – so what!
That “extra kitty” smelled like no other cat I’ve ever had!

Yes, Peace. Could have been much worse. This guy was apparently a baby – not too much spray. 2 cups of coffee and a shower later and gratitude rushed in!

Me too. Tomato juice (real tomato juice) will definitely neutralize skunk spray. Back in the day our little Scamp (a terrier – poodle mix “tootle”) was an overly inquisitive puppy. When I had him out for a walk he ran over to a baby skunk. Although he just wanted to play, he instead got sprayed . . . I immideatly washed the shocked little guy down with tomato juice which worked like a charm. Took about a gallon, though.

Hi Soaz. The best stuff I’ve found for removing skunk is Natures Miracle. You have to soak whatever you need to de-skunk and cover it with plastic to keep it moist while the enzymes in it eats the odor molecules. Can be used on animals too. Put it on the animal and do not wash it off. It is all natural and won’t harm the animals.
Please do not laugh at the next suggestion. I am dead serious. I went to dog grooming school on a dare. One year in Phoenix. Before “Natures Miracle” came on the market, we were taught to use Massengill Douche. It was powder then and you mixed it with a bathtub of water and soaked the dog or cat and let them air dry in a cage or kennel. Worked great. I had a dog grooming shop on the Mogollon Rim and had a client whos dog got skunked at least once a week. Used it and it worked every time. The liquid douche works right out of the container too if you don’t have any of the new stuff “Natures Miracle”.
You asked for the tips and these are tried and proven to work. At the ranch, I’ve Been there and done it too many times to count on “Buddy” my Catahoula! I feel for you and your predicament. Rest up and regain that energy.

There are a lot of incredible faith-based films out there. However, this movie is completely unique in its approach to telling a Christian story that is not cookie cutter or even PG. It’s refreshing to watch a faith-based film that is written in a way that’s honest and doesn’t shy away from the brutal realities of someone’s life. The cinematography is top notch, the acting and singing is great and then knowing on top of all of that that this is a true story just makes this movie incredibly impactful for the viewer. This movie is not like the rest and is certainly worth the watch, whether you’re religious or not! 10/10!
