So, with the “government” buying into INTEL, is this the subtle nationalization of our industries? Should we be looking for John Galt?
It was a biden CHIPS act grant to Intel (free money to Intel).
Trump monetized the grant into an asset with 10% ownership to the Federal gov’t which is supposed to be for the benefit of We The People. Intel is considered a company of critical importance to national security.
While of course it’s better gov’t doesn’t have ownership of companies, the ship sailed a long time ago on the federal gov’t operating within the constraints of the constitution.
So Trump used the biden unconstitutional CHIPS act to acquire an asset for We The People. Turning lemons into lemonade.
If the stake is sold a couple years down tne road and the funds used to reduce the deficit, then I’ll be happy.
Let Nancy Pelosi dictate the timing of the sale and we will make a huge profit.

The government criminals spent way more than they is could extort from citizens originally so thought up new things to extort more money from citizens.
I quit trout fishing over stamps and excessive regulations. Also camping at state parks over the fees. About the only thing I do now is bird hunting which only requires a small game lisence which as I am now retired only cost $10 bucks. I won’t play their extortion racket because whatever the raise in fees and more user activities it will never be enough.
It’s like the government saying we have to raise income taxes because of inflation. But that’s not true, inflation also drives up wages, so their is no reason to raise tax rates. The same applies to sales taxes. If inflation drives up government costs it also drives up the cost of goods taxed so that is not the reason for government short falls. It is always to much government spending.
In 1962 my state enacted a 3% sales tax, then raised it to 4, 5, 5.5 and then let counties add their own .5%.
Which gets you to 6% in many counties. The cost of goods has risen astronomically since then and also the volume of sales. They should be cutting sales tax not raising them.
You are not supposed to go to the parks and rivers….

Texas, where I live, has just reduced our execrably high property taxes. Of course the problem is local appraisers who view such a decrease as their opportunity to adjust home values even higher.
Nevertheless, it’s a huge step in the right direction. We vote in November on making the reductions permanent… talk about ensuring a hefty voter turnout…
The talk is that ways are being looked for to eliminate property taxes completely, replaced as they will have to be by increases in other taxes. Increasing sales tax was one considertaion until the calculations were done, which showed the level they would have to be would be prohibitive. Discussions continue (I suppose 🤔).
In the end, taxation is theft.
Any and all taxation.

I would argue that the Driver’s License should be on that list. Think of it as the right to travel by the popular means of the day. If a Driver’s License proves that you passed a basic competency test, then maybe you would have a point, but that’s not all it’s used for today. If the state can suspend or revoke this license for things like non payment of penalties, then they are infringing on your right to travel by the common means of today.

I have a question I’d like your help with.
I’m making a few t-shirts and need to have at least one done by 6 tonight to give to a friend. The focal point will be a cute cartoon of President Trump’s face with him smiling big, and with him wearing a crown.
In my plans I always thought of putting the words, “God bless” above the crown and “the King” below the crown, as a play on what the socialist leftists have been calling President Trump for months. I thought it would be super cool.
Told my husband what I’m working on at lunch and he hated it. He hates the idea of President Trump being called a king in any way, shape or form.
I like playing off the leftists dillusions, but would love to know your thoughts.
And if you can think of some other words that might work better, please let me know those, too.

Ken Hassett just announced on Twitter the news about McDonald’s which is having financial issues especially since the tariffs on beef.
According to Hassett President Trump will announce that the federal government would be taking a 20% interest in McDonald’s with a $50 billion investment from the Treasury in return for stock in the company.
