Thank you benzy. My brother in law and I met Pete Rivera about 30 years ago. He had very large hands. Get Ready was one of my bol’s favorite songs. Which leads me to tell you all about a recent musical journey God took me on when my bol recently passed away.
He was my best friend for 40 plus years. We did many things together and shared a love of music. We went to dozens of concerts together. Badfinger was his favorite band. He was bedridden the last couple of months and we were relieved when he passed. God was finally ready for him.
My wife and I were on our way to see him at the care facility he was at when we received the call that he had passed. We arrived at his room and were met by my sol, a most beautiful soul. We shared some tears and prayers and decided to leave to get some lunch.
My wife rode with her sister and I got in my car alone with my thoughts. I turned on the radio and the first lyrics that came across were “I can see clearly now, the rain is gone. I can see all obstacles in my way.” I looked up and thanked God for that and then called my wife to let her hear the rest of the song.
Shortly thereafter, Sunshine of Your Love came on the radio. That one was in my bol’s top five favorite songs. Again I called my wife and we listened together for a bit and she said to enjoy the message I was receiving.
Next up was “Ain’t No Cure for the Summertime Blues”. 20 some odd years ago while at an out of town concert with dear bol, we had a poster signed by our favorite artist with this song title. It was in the middle of summer and it was hot at that concert. It was a Janis Joplin poster. While driving home the next morning, I realized we had confused this song with Summertime by Janis. But I still have that signed poster and I looked at it for a long time when I returned home.
My journey finally concluded with “Hey, Mr. Tambourine Man”. My bol was a Star Trek fanatic. Mr. William Shatner “sang” a hilarious cover of this song back in the 60s or 70s. I used to make him CDs of all of the Star Trek actor’s cover songs. We shared many evenings listening to these covers and always laughed at Shatner’s version of this song.
I heard these four songs in a span of about 20 minutes. I smiled and cried with each song due to the deep connections we had with each song. God was my DJ that afternoon.

Someone like me is first and foremost a lover of the Lord, Jesus Christ, above all else.
Christ followers — Christians — are to follow the glorified and risen Jesus Christ, the Lord, as told to us by the Holy Spirit through the Bible. Christ followers are people who “do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive [themselves],” but who “do what it says.” James 1:22
Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in Heaven will enter.” Matthew 7:21
A follower of Satan does not do the will of God the Father.
Jesus said, “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. I used to drive professionally after military retirement, did heavy haul so this has my focus. Yes its been bad and getting worse now.
Obama administration laid yet another trap in 2016, they stopped enforcing a law on the books since the 1930’s requiring English proficiency to drive commercial trucks. It was already hit or miss enforcement by each state.
President Trump’s Executive Order is actually just saying enforce the law requiring English proficiency to drive commercial vehicles.
In the last month or so 1,500 drivers who could neither read nor speak English and could not read highway signs had their licenses pulled. The Sec of Transportation is again requiring enforcement in all states.
New Mexico State patrol officer either lapsed in giving an English proficiency test at a speeding stop which occurred before the driver caused the deadly crash in Florida OR New Mexico wasn’t on board requiring their officers to administer English proficiency tests.
I personally witnessed this type of idiocy in weigh and inspection stations at state borders where the scale master or state patrol could not communicate with a driver……insanity doesn’t begin to describe it right?
What is needed is a required standardized federal test that each state is required to give any driver who seems to have difficulty communicating. Test to be administered by any DOT/state patrol or other officer of the law encountering a driver in doubt.
The horrible wreck in Florida got attention on this matter. Now lets do illegals and getting any driver permit for any vehicle who cannot communicate nor read highway signs. Then lets look at the numbers of illegals causing wrecks due to DUI.
Many times here in the NW the same reason for major accidents have been covered up by the lame stream media
I’m so happy that I’m done with driving for a living.
Every weigh station in every state needs to be open with ICE agents at all of them.
Every trucking company with a poor safety record needs to have its driver roles audited.
In “sanctuary” states ICE, Federal DOT, and border patrol need to monitor all police and DOT radio communications and be prepared to show up at the scene to check driver records and give language and traffic sign tests when there is a need indicated.
IOW extensive rectal exams are in order for all who fail to comply with the law.

Just had a face time with Sherry. Niki is now more delusional than ever. She was up all night getting out of bed and so Sherry was up all night trying to control her and make sure she doesn’t hurt herself or get into her medications. Sherry is not sure how long She’ll be able to deal with it.
Father God,
Maker of Heaven and Earth – Abba Father – I pray for Your peace over Niki’s soul. I pray her be at peace and that she recognize and know Your earnestness for her well-being… that… in You… there is no more pain or suffering… only Truth and Joy and Purity. Send Your angels to tend over Your Daughter, Father, and give her family great comfort during these days.
I pray that no weapon formed against this family would prosper and that You would welcome Niki Home in Your Perfect Timing and that these days of suffering be fleeting and she be delivered into Your Holy Throne Room and that her daughter, Allison, would know and carry her mother’s great love with her all the days of her life.
Lord, I pray that something soothing can be done for Niki to bring her comfort and eradicate her pain and for moments of lucidity to share her time with her loved ones.

But do also talk with the hospice nurse to make sure Niki is receiving what she needs to soften any pain. If in the off chance she can get some lucid time with her – what I wished I would have had the chance for – I would record Niki and her lucid moments and prayerfully keep those as treasured memories until the time comes for you all to reunite with her again in Heaven. Read her stories – Psalm 139 is special for our family and what we read to our friend Kristine before she passed into God’s Presence.

We dodged a bullet. Erin is a massive hurricane ranking in the 90th percentile in storm size and power during the satellite age. The classic kind that most usually come from the African wave train and develop in the main development region and so have time to grow.
I’ve said before and I’ll say it again. Size matters! We have gotten used to storms that develop close in and though they may become powerful buzz saws, they have been small compared to Erin.
Massive hurricanes like Erin bring more of everything. More flooding rain. A much larger wind field. And most importantly, much more storm surge.
Because size matters so much the Saffir-Simpson scale is a completely inadequate metric for gauging the potential impact of a hurricane. NOAA National Hurricane Center should have developed and published a Power and Impact scale long ago to better inform the public of the potential destruction a particular storm is likely to bring.

My husband and I were planning on going, and then two weeks ago an announcement was made from the pulpit during Sunday service that they expected a yuge crowd, and from there they said in a very nice way that if you do not have to come, don’t come. We still thought about going, and thought about sleeping outside the church and getting inside the building when the doors opened at 7:30, but realized our “thinking” on that subject was hosed-up.
We are full of grief over John’s passing, but know we don’t have to be there to celebrate his life and ministry.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Good afternoon Patience. I will only buy US wild caught shrimp from our gulf. Our shrimping industry is suffering because of the cheap, farm raised shrimp, from the far east nations. I would rather pay the extra cost and support our industry than gamble getting sick because of the cheaper prices of farm raised.
The same goes for various fish such as salmon and halibut. I’ll buy the wild Alaskan caught, for the same reasons. Have a wonderful day.

The water they grow in is dirty and they feed the fish grains.
Instead of Omega 3 you get from seafood from the ocean,
the seafood has Omega 6 (inflammatory) from the diet of grains.
There’s another problem, the shipping of frozen seafood to the US.
The seafood can defrost, fungus can grow on it
before it’s refrozen again during the shipping.

Well, so far this morning I have fed the dogs, changed out the cats litter box and checked her food bowl, and filled the tank for their water and picked up the poop in the fenced in dog run area, and feed my birds and critters. The Peacock showed up to feed yesterday afternoon. Yesterday I got out the golf cart and went around the picked up all the sticks and did the trim mowing including picking up the poop in the dog run area before mowing it. Today I weed wack and then get on the zero turn and get our yard standing tall again.
Without Sherry here I have plenty of the everyday domestic chores to keep me busy.
Here at my central Indiana home today it was 68 deg. when I got up at 09:00. Forecast is for a high of 80 with cloudy skies. Forecast highs into next week are all in the 70s. Looks like an extended dry period now which is fine with me. And that reminds me that I need to water the flowers and the fern.
You got ferns? They just take over. Regardless, it’s a great sunny day here in the western burbs of Chi-land, a great day to be alive. I’m on my way to the dog park so me and the boys can play today’s episode of Remember When.

My children, your enemies are picking up their pace and are intensifying their attacks against you and your nation. Their time is running short so they’re throwing everything in their arsenal as fast and as hard as they can. Spiritual warfare, physical warfare, biological warfare, financial warfare, fear warfare, psychological warfare, they’re modifying weather to cause more destruction and chaos. This type of warfare is something they must use to stop the pressure they are feeling. They’re being backed into the corner with no way out. They do feel trapped and when they do they are more dangerous. I’m not telling you this to spark any type of fear but to be aware and don’t let your enemy take you by surprise or take you at all. If you are in My Word and spending time with Me that is how you are protected, strengthened, refreshed, rejuvenated and renewed – a place where your enemies can’t move you. This is the time to stop being moved by what you hear and what you see and My children be strengthened by Me.
Attacks are coming but they will not hurt you under My protection. No foe can withstand My hand or My power. Your enemies will not survive these next attacks against you or your nations. They are coming with everything they have. Nothing they have is bigger than Me.
You will see these words I have been giving to My prophets and the written words I have given to you. They are more real than anything you see. What you see is temporary and it will not last forever.
Great moves are being made against you, but more moves are being made for you. Remember, I am the Creator of this earth and your enemies are nothing, their plans are nothing, their armies are nothing, the globalist govts are nothing, the reset is nothing. They are less than nothing.
