Kitty central update:
The Queen, Cleo and her children will all be getting either spayed or neutered on September 8th. There is a program, known as Sandys feral-Fun here to do this to cats and kittens at a smaller cost than a regular vet. The fee includes a rabies vaccine and mark to show they have been fixed. My son has offered to pay most of the cost. We are hoping it will be easier to find homes if they are already fixed.
I am eating my breakfast as I type this, with Beau here with me and the door shut from the kittens so I can enjoy eating slowly rather than shoveling it in my mouth to keep them away from it. Smiling as I typed this.
House is still an obstacle course. I periodically, during the day, take a long ruler under the couch and other assorted furnishings tp find their toys before they decide to get destructive with something other than their toys. Also, leave it to me to choose the two most mischievous, Oliver and Percy, to keep. They are also the two most lovable, as they climb on my lap to sleep when they are worn out! That is my latest update. Am still determined to figure out how to get some photos to you all.

I read something the other day which made perfect sense to me.
Remember when vet costs were not cheap but not stratospheric as they are now? It turns out that private equity entities are busy buying up vet practices throughout the US. Thus the monstrous and prohibitive prices we animal lovers are discovering. Just as they are doing with condos in Florida and mobile home parks where seniors rent their spaces, forcing thousands off and out of their homes.
It is the one reason we do not have a pet at this moment..vet bills and the chance that we’d have to face one.
So at one point you were planning on keeping Percy only. Am I hearing that Oliver might stay as well? Enquiring (nosey) minds…and hearts…are curious 😽
Hi Betsy. I am planning to keep Cleo, Percy and Oliver (questionable as my son really likes Oliver and may take him). If that is the case then I will keep another of the females. No name yet for that one so will let you all know if I need help with naming her. That will mean I have to find homes for four. You are not nosey as you and the other treepers have been in on this adventure from the beginning.
Leave it to private equity entities to screw things up for the pet owners! That is so awful what they are doing with the seniors in Florida. Evil personified and extremely selfish and money grubbing. I am being nice, because if you could read my mind you would probably blush!
Remember I was raised around sailors, marines and other assorted military! They didn’t hold back when they thought us kiddos weren’t listening. but we would hide at the top of the stairs so we could listen to them talking in the dining room and kitchen. It broke my heart when Hong Kong went back to the Chinese. During my working career, we had an apartment in Hong Kong. We did not live there all year but stayed there at least 3-4 times a year.
I fell in love with Hong Kong and the people and would shop the open markets for fresh produce and seafood. Got to know the vendors. They were always happy and smiling with their life and they got to know me as well.
My husband was in partnership with a Hong Kong owned Semiconductor manufacturing facility. I worked some with him as I had experience with the same type of facility located in S. Korea.
Because of my experience and knowing all the customers, I then was hired by one of the old British “Noble Houses” Swire of Hong Kong, to get customers for a facility they were building in Hong Kong. I worked in the US office for them.
I loved one Old British Hotel, known as The Peninsula, and would go there for “High Tea” every chance I could. It also had a restaurant on the top floor which served the best Chinese food imaginable (not like the Chinese food here). You picked out the fish you wanted from a large salt water aquarium and then they would cook it for you. There were so many courses that the dinner would last for hours! My husband’s partner knew how much I loved that restaurant and would always take us there at least once while we were there in Hong Kong. It was located on the mainland on the Kowloon Peninsula. Loved to ride the ferry across the harbor from Hong Kong to Kowloon.

COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 51
“The psalmist prays for mercy, humbly confessing and lamenting his sins. (1-6) He pleads for pardon, that he may promote the glory of God and the conversion of sinners. (7-15) God is pleased with a contrite heart, A prayer for the prosperity of Zion. (16-19)
(1-6) David, being convinced of his sin, poured out his soul to God in prayer for mercy and grace. Whither should backsliding children return, but to the Lord their God, who alone can heal them? He drew up, by Divine teaching, an account of the workings of his heart toward God. Those that truly repent of their sins, will not be ashamed to own their repentance. Also, he instructs others what to do, and what to say. David had not only done much, but suffered much in the cause of God; yet he flees to God’s infinite mercy, and depends upon that alone for pardon and peace. He begs the pardon of sin. The blood of Christ, sprinkled upon the conscience, blots out the transgression, and, having reconciled us to God, reconciles us to ourselves. The believer longs to have the whole debt of his sins blotted out, and every stain cleansed; he would be thoroughly washed from all his sins; but the hypocrite always has some secret reserve, and would have some favorite lust spared. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Me, Myself and I (my crew) are good. A little busy, actually. I may have mentioned that my history often includes a residency-changing move. three and a half years in this (sad) place is enough.
Next Friday I ‘relocate’ from where I spent the final days with Doc into a senior apartment complex. I have been taking pictures off these walls and moving stuff in Hefty bags to my new digs.
Since i’ts Caturday, y’all will love this: one of the tenants is putting a bowl of water and cat food near their car tire. I have seen two cats – i assume feral) – frequenting the feast. My apartment is on the ground floor with a small patio. I assume I won’t have to worry about mice 😊

Have not been a big student of El Greco, but I don’t recall seeing cats in his work.
I’ll have to do a little cat (hunting) … search.
