My post doesn’t quite read right without mentioning that the pace of deportations should increase as more agents complete training and the socialists run out of legal theories to test.
It can take up to a year to finally complete the entire process. Lots of testing, 3 months for some and 6 months for the Elite groups which this group is less than 5% of all who actually get hired on.

Then an SF-86 is completed, which goes into great detail regarding your background and family.
A financial disclosure form.
Medical exam.
Fitness test.
Possibly a polygraph.
Background investigation (what’s called an SSBI – Single-Scope Background Investigation),
usually conducted by a security professional (ex-FBI, etc).
This can take 2-3 months.
Approx 3-4 months training at FLETC (Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Glynco, GA) or similar facility elsewhere.
Additional training for 6-8 weeks, minimum, back at duty
station/home port.
So an applicant for ICE who submits his application today,
And successfully completes all exams and training, will probably not be actually working as part of a team until next March or April.
Or longer.
No pretending, that’s just the way it is.
However, by next spring and summer,
You will have in place a system that can handle much greater numbers than what the new administration found in place January 20th.
Secretary Noem and Border Czar Homan are building a system that will process much greater numbers of illegal aliens than has happened before.
Along with a continuing push for self-deportation,

I can tell you in middle Tennessee it’s noticeable how many less people are on the roads.
You know, that’s interesting. I’ve noticed something similar in Colorado Springs on my daily commute. Usually, when school starts up (this week), traffic goes through the roof from about 7:30-8am on my morning drive. This week? Very light despite seeing all the school busses on the roads.
I wonder what the schools are like this week? When I left the teaching profession in 2021, the classrooms were increasingly clogged with non English speaking “immigrants” dumped into the public school classrooms. If their parents self-deported, it stands to reason the children were also self-deported. Which would in turn help explain the somewhat lighter than usual traffic during rush hour.
Limited sample size, we’ll see how it looks when all the schools are up and running by next week. But today and yesterday seemed like there was some sort of holiday going on. On Monday, I drove my 20min commute in a little over 10min.

My indicator, in a Tennessee retirement community, is the noticeable decrease in 5 foot tall Hispanics with NYY baseball hats at the local convenience store where all the contractors and landscapers get their morning coffee. Seems the locals have gotten the message about hiring illegals
Just wait for all the school systems to start yelling for tax increases. Because now they’re getting so much per student locally from state enrollment dollars and that is going to dwindle.
Schools are a shell of years past. Kids struggle with basic thinking, skills. A program has been launched in CO by well meaning people to help young adults learn the basic life skills, how to change a light bulb, how to use a stove to cook basic food items, how to lock their door, etc. The #1 call from apartment tenants is “my light is out”.
We have a long way to go.

East Tennesse schools have just opened. Our county had to hire an additional 20 teachers for the non English speaking (that’s on top of those returning from last year). The teachers only speak english. 3 of our primary schools are now 85% immigrant children. Many of our teachers are sharing 1 classroom. Motels are now designated bus stops because there’s so many kids living in them.
Things are bad here but no one cares.

We are on the east end of Long Island, NY and went to Greenport for the first time this summer about 2 weeks ago. The park, pier, public restrooms, free merry-go-round and downtown were calm, quiet, clean and only some tourists and residents visible. It has been just the opposite for the past several years. Striking difference that we couldn’t stop noticing and commenting.

I am in Middle TN. There may be less people on the roads, as now that I’ve retired I’m not out and about as much. What I have noticed is you will find still a large amount of illegals in the convenience stores (lunch and evenings). Also noticed the Mad Max driving on the roads…people are driving like maniacs. I try to avoid Nashville and Antioch areas.
If this pace continues, more illegal aliens will self deport too as they see how the wind is blowing.

I continue to see non-English speakers that appear to be south of the border Spanish speakers everywhere, in restaurants, on work crews, in stores, all over. Estimates places the number of illegals in the 40-50 million range. I was at the DMV here in central NC twice last summer. The line was chock full of non English speaking people, several with Angelo interpreters to help them. So much so that, the few Angelo’s in line with me shared speaking glances…like “what is going on?”

I noticed this last week when I visited the South Jersey area, my home state which is known for illegal aliens. Traffic on a Friday night was always busy, especially in the summer. It was very quiet this time. I said what happened? What is going on? Then, I realized they either left on their own accord, was picked up, or some are in hiding.

The Walmart in Hamilton I go to sometimes feel like a ghost town lately .
There are two locations in Mercer county so I am not sure if the illegals are going to the other location where they feel safer.
The one time I went to the other location I thought I was in a Central America breeding ground.
