Be careful of JD Vance fandom. There is no need for “Real ID” except for federal level tracking of all US people. JD Vance and his connections in Palatir are behind it and many other privacy threatening technologies for exclusive use by government to expand government power. I don’t think this is “good.”

Real ID is a fast way to eliminate identity theft and fraud, primarily by illegal immigrants and professional thieves. Visa overstays. Bail runners, and the like could be tagged to help clean up civil unlawfulness.
In the hands of an authoritarian, Real ID could be used to invade privacy, prevent free travel, flag banking transactions, and harass law abiding dissidents.
Our real issue is our mistrust of government, because they have shown that we are but an election away from totalitarianism, and Democrats aren’t afraid to use it to support their twisted vision of “democracy”.
Agreed. We need to ban autos, guns, cell phones, the internet, and social media because bad people use these tools for bad deeds.

Exactly. If the tool becomes bent anyway the user wants it to be, it can be manipulated for evil as well as good. The govt is famous for warping any law or regulation to their own ends. The patriot act is a prime example.
How to write these laws and regulations so they cannot be possibly used other than for their first intent is the problem that’s never been solved. Each round of who controls our govts. State federal and local, determines how these well intentioned ‘tools’ are used. We the people need to be wary of anything passed that could be used against us at any given time.
We the people need to insist that laws be fair, just and for the good of all. Not for the good of those in charge of implementing them. How to do this is the question.
Real ID will be used for nefarious things eventually, just like the Patriot Act. They just need the law passed, then it’s slowly tweeked. I can fly without mine.

I think that “Real ID” is a good idea, promoting consistency and security in state-issued identification cards. Bartenders used to have to keep thick books of pictures showing them what authentic drivers licenses looked like. They were all different. That’s actually not good.
Real ID is federal not State. You can’t use it in my state as a DL.

I hope PT is preparing to fire Powell…..and is going through necessary public stages preparing WS and general population, so that when Powell becomes an absolute impediment to the recovery and it is obvious to everyone, then PT is free to get rid of Powell. This will serve as a warning to the governors as well.
Powell is done in May I believe. I agree with the Bannon. Name his replacement today and let Powell hang out to dry. Firing him might be much more destructive for Trump than leaving him there until his term is up. We shall see though. If the economy is held back too much maybe PTrump will have no choice.
That’s a very simplistic view of things IMO. I think the problem is the asset bubble. If that $400,000 house is priced at $225,000 it becomes obtainable at current rates.
If the federal debt (which congress and president have control of) were 15 million the rate would not be a problem.
If you are retired with a $300,000 nest egg, would you prefer a 3.5% CD or a 7.5% CD? Perspective matters.
Lastly Powell isn’t the fed “king” his vote has no more weight than the other members.
My personal opinion is that the debt and overvaluations is the problem not the rate.

We are not wrong to go after government corruption. But we’re not looking enough at what amounts to something far worse. These AI “systems” will perform these functions, they will be called glitches or errors and will not be recalled despite any damage to the constitution that may result. The courts will rule, as they already have, that these AI systems do not violate the constitution because they are not human.
If I built an AI system, and equipped it with weapons and tracking and then told it to analyze behavior as respond to it, what do we THINK is going to happen? And will *I* be excused from responsibility as the government is? Will *I* be hauled into court and thrown into prison for creating a weapon system which threatens potentially innocent people? I would HOPE SO! But government this is OK… right…? RIGHT?

It’s almost 5:00 a.m. here on my birthday and I have no motivation to fall asleep. I have these racing thoughts and I feel with what’s happened this week with USAID formally terminating and moving into the State Department that something is seriously missing in Washington as we are doing these touchdown dances about a kind of mission accomplished in terms of serving redress on a very very rogue agency and that is I don’t see any sort of north star doctrinally enunciated by the administration or really any part of it to replace the function that USAID filled and if you don’t have a north star to fill the power vacuum that USAID played that power vacuum will be filled. It will be filled by other actors. It will be filled by private entities. It will be filled by rogue employees at state. It will diffuse into the private contractor world. You know, in Jurassic Park there’s that line that nature finds a way. Covert action finds a way… There will be people in various pockets of government who will simply do what happened in Iran Contra when Democrats passed the Bolan amendment and said you can’t spend government resources to overthrow the government of Nicaragua. What was set up was something called the Enterprise, a private self self-sustained standalone off-the-shelf way of accomplishing US foreign policy in Nicaragua without spending US aid dollars doing it, without spending State Department dollars doing it. What they ended up doing was cultivating drug networks because they couldn’t get the money through development funds from USAID and working with various criminal gangs and private companies who benefited from the regime change because they didn’t have USAID money to serve as the slush fund for it. Nature finds a way. When big dollars are on the line, nature finds a way. And people want a quick a quick fix on how to address this problem. But what I find is before you can even have the conversation about the quick fix, you sort of need to understand the structure of the world you live in.

But on top of it is the donor drafter class. which donates into the campaigns of politicians and often co-sponsors government initiatives but then drafts off the policies set by that government to make more profits for themselves than they had to pay as a donor.

You have a you have government, but then you have high net worth private individuals who usually control a corporation or a set of corporations or a hedge fund or a network of funds. And what donating into a political apparatus does is it buys you favors for that government to set policy that helps your portfolio companies. So take someone like George Soros. When I see the Open Society Foundation that is doing Rent-a-riot street protests or buying up the media or engaging in destabilization campaigns or promoting something really extreme on climate, on energy, on some sort of social value, on technology, techology usage on agriculture. I look to see what the Soros management fund is invested in. I don’t even see the NGO’s anymore. In a sense, I feel like Tank in the Matrix, you know, where he says, “I don’t even see the zeros and ones.” This one’s a hamburger. This one’s a French fry. This one’s a a woman in a red dress. When I see these NGO’s, I don’t see it as along the ideological line very often. Where’s the funding coming from? What companies are they invested in?

What are too many Americans doing to themselves and to their souls?
Recently we drove from Ohio to Florida and back by two different routes, one included out-of-the-way Indiana. Naturally we needed to stop at various stores and shopping centers, so I believe we observed an interesting sampling of the American population.
19th-century carnivals, and some going into the 20th, catered to the basest instincts of the human soul, displaying people with severe birth defects in a human zoo called a “Side Show.” Also displayed were people who had disfigured themselves with gluttony and tattoos.
Walking through an upscale shopping mall some years ago, I remarked to my younger brother: “It used to be that you had to sneak into the Side Show at the carnival to see obese, tattooed freaks: now the side show assaults you everywhere.”
On this vertical trip across America, Mrs. Ausonius and I were noticing ever more people who waddled, rather than walked, or who were in motorized carts because of their weight, who were huffing and puffing either smoke or vapors, some of it proclaiming that the puffer should probably not be driving a vehicle of any kind, and who had disfigured their bodies with tattoos of some kind.
And in many cases these vices were combined in one person. We also talked about the blithe way in which a certain vulgarity (rhymes with “Tuck”) was flung around by young and older men and women with no embarrassment, along with many other disgusting maledictions.
I blamed such speech tics on the rise of R-rated movies 50+ years ago, and their influence on television, now infected with vulgarities of all kinds. 70 + years ago, I never heard such words during my childhood. Certainly my father (he graduated from Marine boot camp in July of 1945 and was ready to invade Japan) knew such words, but never spoke them around us.
And so, meditating on these things – the widespread addiction to gluttony, the addictions to tattoos (it is an addiction, noticed as such over 20 years ago), to drugs of all kinds – my thoughts took me back to recalling a little-known movement, which began in the 19th-century among Protestants in England, i.e. “Muscular Christianity.”
Part of the nationalistic mind-sets rising at that time, i.e. that a “fit population” would be able to compete better against other nations, Muscular Christianity influenced other positive organizations like the Y.M.C.A. and the Boy Scouts. The Germans had a similar movement started by a man known as “Father Jahn,” who founded gymnastics clubs and invented many of the exercises still around today. He wanted children to be “Frisch, Fromm, Fröhlich, und Frei” (Fresh (i.e. clean), Pious, Happy, and Free).
The idea of Muscular Christianity was that the discipline and concentration needed in sports could be transferred into a moral discipline to improve the physical and spiritual and social health of the population.
Theodore Roosevelt – of course! – was a great supporter of Muscular Christianity, and he once gave a speech at a meeting in 1903 of the New York chapter of a Catholic men’s group called The Holy Name Society, whose purpose was to socialize men in a Catholic way and – more specifically – to decrease and eliminate cursing in their speech (hence the group’s name). Roosevelt was a great believer in physical, mental, spiritual, and moral fitness as a necessity for America to compete in the world.
An excerpt from his speech:
“…I am particularly glad to see such a society as this flourishing as your society has flourished, because the future welfare of our Nation depends upon the way in which we can combine in our men—in our young men—decency and strength….
“…a man must be clean of mouth as well as clean of life—must show by his words as well as by his actions his fealty to the Almighty …We have good Scriptural authority for the statement that it is not what comes into a man’s mouth but what goes out of it that counts. … I am speaking to men engaged in the hard, active work of life, and therefore to men who will count for good or for evil…
“It is peculiarly incumbent upon you who have strength to set a right example to others. I ask you to remember that you cannot retain your self-respect if you are loose and foul of tongue, that a man who is to lead a clean and honorable life must inevitably suffer, if his speech likewise is not clean and honorable…
“I have told you that I wanted you not only to be decent, but to be strong. These boys will not admire virtue of a merely anaemic type. They believe in courage, in manliness. They admire those who have the quality of being brave, the quality of facing life as life should be faced, the quality that must stand at the root of good citizenship in peace or in war…”
As President TRUMP and Health Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. attempt to make our food supply healthier, Americans need to look into the mirror and into their souls and start to examine how they can improve not only their physical health, but their intellectual, moral, and spiritual health as well.
If somebody thinks they are “fitting in with the crowd” by using foul language and getting their skin destroyed and puffing away on something, they need to wonder first why they want to “fit in” with such a crowd!
By fitting in with the crowd, they make themselves, ironically, less fit! And I do not think Theodore Roosevelt or the founders of the Boy Scouts and other such groups would look upon a large minority of our society’s specimens of manliness or lady-like behavior and be happy.

Interesting and thanks for sharing. Recently I was going through some beach pictures from the 40’s and 50’s and the bathing suits were much more modest than what is seen on the beach today where many of the females are basically naked.
not to mention the women announcers on tv now wear necklines much lower than they once did. Morality and modesty is diminishing and that is shameful.
Ran a beach business right on the beach from 94 to 2020. When we first started, thongs were NOT allowed on the beach, they would send you home. Now you are correct, they come half naked and it doesn’t matter if they weight 120 lbs to 400 lbs, they dress that way. If they came into our business, they were told to go get a cover up or something to hide their derriere or leave. We were a kid friendly business and I didn’t want them exposed to the nudity in my place
I’m fine with bikinis & often wear myself. Although personally, I would refrain from if I weren’t trim.
However, when did it become acceptable to display your entire azz cheeks at beaches & public pools? There’s little kids at these places who do not need to see this!
“Mooning” someone used to be a prank in the shadows. Go figure!
Look no further than the entertainment businesses, music icons, online influencers, the gaming industry etc. that children, young adults and yes, their parents, participate in daily. Adults now having children are products of the loosened moral codes, lack of religious beliefs, community standards etc in these industries so to them these kinds of fashion trends are no big deal. I don’t mean everyone but certainly the majority these days.
Unless the parents and consumers clamp down on what they will accept as ok for society and for their children and themselves too, to be allowed to participate in, these types of popular trends will continue. None of it is healthy for their minds or their growing into adulthood or keeping a moral society going forward. No need to be Puritans, but the loosey-goosey moral fiber of America and the world really needs a makeover
Well bikinis are just the same as underwear, and are a very short jump to thongs, which are a very short jump to wearing nothing at all. It’s all just part of the downhill progression.
P.S. Allow me to elaborate a little on the age and size of some of the people whom we saw on this trip: a short, 18-25 year old girl at a cash register, who was easily 450-500 pounds. She could not walk, but sort of rocked slowly back and forth in order to move.
But there were others of all ages – often older – who were closer to 400 pounds than 300.
I sold clothes for men at a local Richman Brothers (now defunct, thank you global trade and “leveraged buy-outs with asset extraction”) and can estimate a person’s weight and waist size fairly well as a result.
My father died weighing 475 pounds: so I am very sensitive about the issue of obesity and am distressed by it, whenever I see such people. I have an urge to want to help them in some way, but I know via my father’s life that mental illness is often involved, when you reach a certain size.
I work in manufacturing and we have a constant turnover at the entry level jobs. The young men that I see these days have no muscle tone, their skeletal frame is A shaped and not V shaped, their collar and shoulder bones just hang. It is as if they were all raise by video games and smart phones. None of them seem to have ever physically challenged themselves.
IMO, Dads have failed raising the next generation of men. Single moms have failed raising the next generation of men.

We live in a semi-rural, small-town area, where physical labor is quite widespread on farms and small factories. You can still find kids riding bicycles – alone – on the streets, and occasionally on the playgrounds: not as many as we would like to see, but better than the deserted streets and playgrounds in larger cities (Dayton, Toledo, Columbus, et al.).
And so most of the younger people are in not bad shape.
But yes, some of these “metrosexuals” in the large cities are at the other extreme: little muscular development and little ambition or energy also , it would seem.
The broad feminization of males began at least for me to notice, during the Obama years. The rise of the LBGTQ movement, the influence of them on the fashion industries etc began in earnest under his ‘equality’ and racist policies which morphed into white male bashing and disapproval of manliness in males, of fathers discouraged in raising healthy boys doing boy-men things. Metrosexual became a new status symbol.Males were left with no role to fill as a male and have been floundering ever since although under Pres. Trump we do see this reversing a bit thank goodness.
The unhealthy habits causing obesity have grown since then too.Americans have been pushed into drug dependency to remain functioning, our food supplies are not healthy, our sitting on our butts daily for hours is not healthy and the Govt. .dependency for all needs in the poorer population is not conducive to health either. We have a lot of health issues to work on, that’s for sure.
The fitness test will do nothing to address this. Nothing the government does can do anything about.

I have watched over my lifetime as our society has turned into a morass of blubbering fat. Watching old movies, the thing you notice most is that normal sized people were normal.

A year ago or so we walked into a Target and were visually assaulted by huge posters of obese (not just overweight) Afro-American women in the Clothing Section.
Why would a store want to lionize an unhealthy lifestyle like that? In fact I puckishly observed that Target must be genocidal and racist, for they obviously wanted to promote obesity and an early death therefrom to Afro-Americans.
Nearly 20 years ago, Martha Stewart appeared on a local Atlanta TV station. Martha had just gotten out of prison for the tax evasion case and was restarting her career.
When the female reporter mentioned that she was co-habiting with her fiance’, Martha commented:

I watched a couple of movies via streaming recently and the level of profanity was off the charts. It wasn’t just F Bombs. It was every vulgar word, every profane word, and every slang term for private body parts. I would have turned it off but I had a Stage 5 TDS friend of 63 years visiting who has also turned away from God.
It really opened my eyes to how disgusting our culture is and how someone can listen to this garbage and not even flinch.
They used profanity as a way to become edgy, hip, and counterculture. Now it is as common as dirt. Maybe the pendulum will swing back the other way.
The same goes for non stop tattoos, piercings, weird color hair, obesity, hideous clothing, and garish make up.

I’ve been in the education field for many years, day to day contact with students, teachers, administrators, unions etc. about 15-20 years ago, our administration told all of the employees that we now could not correct the use of foul language amongst the children. Prior to this memo, children were not allowed to use certain words in the schools especially if directed towards adults, but towards other students too. We made respecting adults and others a pillar of our policies. The reason that was given for this change was that the language they used reflected their culture and home life. We had to stand down on reprimanding them for their language in any way.
To me, it marked a red line for when our schools began to disintegrate as functioning bodies of education and became ruled by social justice and leftist policies that just have increased as the years have gone on and is ruining our children, in mind, in being truly educated and in learning how to be respectful functioning adults. I have stuck it out doing what I can with the kids to help prepare them as they move along and still got to work with many good students from good homes whose parents made sure they were doing the right things. However, in the inner city schools these policies and the lack of parenting, just devastated the education of the poorer students and the black population. The attitude in these city schools just plain deteriorated into social chaos and so many unsolvable problems. They are worse today than I have ever seen. Glad I won’t have to stay much longer seeing all this.

I recall that in the early days/months of this war the Establishment Media reported that the Russians were losing. Ukraine was keeping Russia from advancing,, Russia was losing shoulders and key generals and Putin was out of favor in Russia. New job creation seems unexpectedly low and prior months revised down by 90% is being reported with higher unemployment. What is going on here? Consider what’s being lost: A child who learns to ‘feel’ through mood-tracking apps never develops internal emotional awareness. Kids who navigate exclusively through GPS never develop spatial reasoning or intuitive direction. Those who get dopamine hits from notification sounds never learn sustained attention or deep focus. Children who ask Alexa for answers never develop the cognitive struggle that builds critical thinking.
This isn’t just convenience—it’s cognitive replacement. When your device tells you how you slept, how you feel, what you need, when to eat, where to go, what to think—the faculty for self-awareness atrophies. The child never learns to read their own body’s signals, trust their own judgment, or develop what previous generations simply called ‘common sense.’
Unlike the Stasi’s victims who at least had some years of normal psychological development, these kids never get that foundation. They never develop what psychologists call ‘internal locus of control’ because they never get to make real choices with real consequences—or even learn to perceive reality without technological filters.
The result is a generation that’s either paralyzed by self-consciousness or completely reckless. Some retreat into careful blandness, crafting personas so sanitized they might as well be corporate spokespeople for their own lives. Others embrace weaponized exposure because they figure they’re already screwed.
Most devastatingly, we’re creating humans who literally cannot conceive of unmediated existence. They’ve never experienced unmonitored thought, untracked movement, or unrecorded conversation. To them, privacy isn’t a right being taken away—it’s an alien concept that feels dangerous and unnecessary.
We’re not just surveilling them—we’re programming them. Teaching them that having real convictions is dangerous, that independent thought carries unlimited downside risk, that technological mediation is superior to human judgment, that the most important skill in life is reading algorithmic cues and adjusting accordingly.

I just had a conversation with an expert when it comes to Stablecoins and this quote unquote GENIUS Act. And I wanted to share some of the highlights of this conversation with you as quickly as I could because quite frankly, it was as disturbing as hell. And I’m not saying that lightly.
Now, when this GENIUS Act first was passed or they were talking about it, people were saying, “Well, it’s a backdoor to a CBDC.” And initially, I said, “Ah, I don’t know.” Because in order to have a CBDC have all of these draconian and 1984 Orwellian type features, you would need everything on one ledger. The reality is that Predict was doing more than detecting dangerous pathogens: it was helping labs make them. In May 2021, the office of US House Representative Guy Reschenthaler released a report showing that USAID had funnelled $1.1 million to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) through the EcoHealth Alliance. Among the work funded by USAID was a 2015 study jointly conducted by Shi Zhengli, the infamous “bat lady” of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and the University of North Carolina researcher Ralph Baric, which used reverse genetics to insert a spike protein from a wild coronavirus capable of binding to a human receptor into the SARS-1 virus. The new lab-made virus was shown to bind to the human receptors and replicate “efficiently”, according to a House Foreign Affairs committee report.
The 2015 study — which the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists characterised as a “prototype” for making SARS-CoV-2 in a lab — was considered so dangerous that its authors did not upload the resulting sequence to GenBank, the NIH’s genetic research repository, for fear it might “fall into the wrong hands”, as Baric, its lead author, would later attest. But the study also omitted one other critical piece of information: USAID had provided funding for the study. Nature Medicine, the journal that published the paper, was forced to add a “Corrigendum” clarifying that the aid agency had in fact funded it.
Funding this kind of research in China added a whole other dimension of risk. According to the State Department, the Wuhan Institute began collaborating with the People’s Liberation Army no later than 2017 [Trump was sworn in in 2017 and China’s championed for WHO head Tedros, a member of a Marxist party in Ethiopia, a country which owed China $12 billion for loans, was installed at the WHO in July of 2017 – see below – W]. NBC News reported that in spring 2018, the Wuhan Institute’s Shi collaborated with military scientists specifically on coronavirus research. And in April 2020, it was revealed that the Wuhan Institute worked with Chinese military researchers to conduct research on Covid in humanised mice cells for the purposes of investigating the new disease. (US government investigators later found that the mice cells used specifically for Covid testing would have been created in the summer of 2019 — months before the pandemic began.)
There is little doubt that the US had, and still has, a global premium on the equipment, expertise, and ambition to do this type of research. So why would the NIH, let alone the USAID, fund such research in, of all places, a lab in China?
Among the four pillars of “Biodefense in the 21st Century”, Bush’s strategy that gave rise to programmes like Predict, was one called “Threat Awareness”. It indicated that the US was “improving the Intelligence Community’s ability to collect, analyze, and disseminate intelligence [on bioweapons]”. Of all places, China would almost certainly be at the top of any list of bioweapons intelligence targets.
While failing to anticipate, or even identify, the Covid pandemic, Predict could have given American intelligence access to the findings of virus researchers such as Shi Zhengli, not just in China but around the world. In which case, given the sums associated with America’s defence and intelligence budgets, the project’s hefty $200 million lifetime budget would have paid for itself.
It wouldn’t have been the first time that international aid programmes have been used to gather intelligence. In 2014, it was reported that USAID had been caught trying to create a version of Twitter in Cuba that would help the CIA influence the political situation, with an eye to overthrowing the government. “USAID, perhaps, is the new CIA here,” Peter Kornbluh of the National Security Archive’s Cuba said at the time. The programme backfired, eventually allowing the Castro government to spy on the 40,000 Cubans who signed up.

Benz: You know, there are so many times where we have a conspiracy to cook intelligence in American history. Whether that’s the cooked intelligence that took us to war in Iraq and Afghanistan or the cooked intelligence about Russian bounties on people’s heads in Syria and beyond.
But this was one of these cooked intelligence conspiracies that truly devastated the ability to administer US foreign policy around Russia and Eurasia affairs that truly hamstrung the entirety of the Trump administration and that cast a huge amount of doubt in the legitimacy of our election system.
The same people who would later come back and effectively criminalize questioning the legitimacy of US election infrastructure like mail-in ballots and electronic voting machines, they they were the original election deniers by effectively arguing that the Trump election wasn’t legitimate.
And at some point this will continue as long as intelligence officials believe that there’s no penalty for doing it. And this has to be the last straw. John Brennan and Jake Sullivan and Comey and this whole network that were involved in cooking this intelligence. If there is not a criminal penalty for that, then there’s going to be no reform.

A lot of variables here, Mike. Please bear with me.
The first question that needs to be answered is: Did the @FBI preserve the original electronic versions of all of these records in a 36 CFR § 1236.20-compliant records repository as required by the Federal Records Act? The answer to that question will most certainly be ‘no’, so we are going to move forward with that.
The next question is: Since the electronic originals were not properly preserved, where are they? If the FBI cannot produce the original digital records (and their associated metadata), that would imply they were illegally destroyed in a coordinated coverup.

Regarding the epitome of evil (IMO) I like to know who else attended Hillary’s “sacrifice nights” and who or what was sacrificed.
I’ve posted before an excerpt of an email from Hillary to Huma – “Don’t forget my inhaler. You know how excited I get on sacrifice nights”.
If this comment in an email is accurate then I think this sort of thing could tie in with what was seen on Weiner’s laptop and with Dan Bongino being so shaken. I suspect that some of our leaders at the top and sitting on a Pandora’s box of evil.
It might be worse than that if Satan’s minions like Hillary have already been injected with Satan’s DNA, making them no longer human.
