It’s normal for us to imagine a “time” when God created existence. Unfortunately, we tend then to think of “it” as something that “happened” (in the past) and ever since, the Creation is “just” being maintained. Well, in a way it is, however if we venture deeper, it reveals that the ENTIRE creation is recreated “in the blink of an eye” every moment. Think about it – Nowhere are “things” exactly the way they were 1 moment ago – this particle has changed, that cell has divided, another photon has collided, your body is no longer exactly as it was a moment ago, from the atomic to the galactic. You might even have a different thought. It’s a new world, a new Creation.
Which reminds me of an excellent explanation I listened to about the “reward” (or not) of the final judgement (Heaven). Now the source is very, very complex and difficult to fully understand, I don’t know it, but for me the breakdown makes sense. So in the simplest and easy to comprehend “summary” it goes like this: – Each and every one of those (created) moments are to God an eternal moment, since He is above and beyond time (not like us). We experience time as moment to moment in a linear series. So to the chase – every moment in which we do, speak, think, behave etc, in a Godly way (in truth), we are connected to God and part of The/His eternal moment. Every “awareness” of that moment is/will be available to us eternally. For example if you are/were part of imparting joy or help to some other soul, if you are/were mindful of His commandments, did your best to walk in an honest and true path, then all such moments will be placed on the plus side of the scale (could be millions, hopefully billions or more). Regrettably those moments where we are not with God (in sin) will be lost eternally. You don’t want the separation from God should the scale tip unfavorably.
Sorry, like trying to stuff an elephant into a postbox – very difficult to put into a post – which is already too long. Bottom line – just keep doing good, be kind to many – as much as possible. You will reap the reward.

Not much new to report from “Kitten Central”. They are growing quickly and several follow me around like puppies, Oliver and Percy the most. Several climb up and sleep behind me when I get on my computer. One just jumped down and Oliver is sleeping by my feet at this moment.
Unfortunately, they have become fascinated with the computer. I was finishing up typing some English Quizzes for the professor for this coming semester beginning in a few weeks. Needless to say, it took me much longer than normal to get them done as I had oodles of assistance, again mainly Oliver and Percy. I had some very strange things occur on the screen from kitten paws helping me on the keyboard.
I am enjoying your “Cursday” images so much today. Thank you for continually looking for them and finding them. It is greatly appreciated. Hope the rest of your day and evening are blessed and wonderful.

I really enjoy the music you post. It brings back very fond memories of Kings Radio, a station that played only music from the late 30s to early 70s in the Central Valley of CA. Sadly, as so many other stations have done, it left the air about 10 years ago. For decades it was my go to radio station.
Good morning all.
Yesterday I got the yard mowed for the first time in 7 days. It was a matter of get it done or find a bailing machine! We have had rain every day for the last seven days but Tuesday but that day was clear with no breeze with a heat index at near 100 deg. So I decided to wait for Wednesday because it was forecast to partly cloudy with a little breeze and no rain.
As is so often the case the forecast changed overnight so that I showed rain coming in around 18:00. But there was no putting it off. I ran to the store and bought some things in the morning waiting for the heavy dew to dry as much as possible in the tall grass.
Steve built a wooden bed for the golf cart. I removed the rear seats and back rest, we measured it up and he had it built, complete with removable tail gate the next day. He had all the wood already including the 1″ x 12″ for the sides and tail gate and he already had the brackets for holding the removable tail gate.
I used the golf cart to ride around a pick up sticks and after putting the sticks in the fire ring I got out the trim mower for Sherry and she mowed the newly fenced in dog run area and some other stuff while I put my string trimmer with two extra batteries and an extra cutting line cartridge in it and went around and weed wacked.
Sherry and I both had to take breaks to cool off and hydrate.
Steve and Betty were in the same boat I was in and they were out mowing also but weren’t bothering to trim.
I took over the trim mower and finished up with it then hopped on the zero turn. I got it all mowed before the rain came in at 19:00.
Today there is a 55% chance of rain and it is supposed to start cooling off and remain cool for a few days after today with highs in the low 80s and lows in the low 70s. More my kind of weather though I would prefer it if the highs were in the low 70’s.

Competence, situational awareness, knowledge, and experience will almost always win no matter what other advantage you opponent has.
Two months after the Korean war ended a N. Korean pilot flew a MIG 15 to a S. Korean airfield to defect.
It was the first flyable MIG 15 that the US had gotten their hands on. Chuck Yeager was called out to the Pacific to test fly it and present his evaluation along with some other test pilots. He did so even though a Typhoon was passing close to Okinawa where the testing was being done.
The MIG was tested against the best American fighter at the time which was the F-86 Saber. The MIG and Saber had met in combat many times during the war and the F-86 had come out on top in kill ratio. Both fighters were transonic or IOW could fly close to the speed of sound but could not surpass it.
After the testing was done Yeager was approached by an USAF Col. who had fought in Korea. the Col said he thought the MIG was superior to the Saber and claimed the MIG had supersonic capability. Yeager told him it wasn’t. Yeager also told him that pilot competence had a lot to do with the outcomes. The Col. disagreed claiming the the MIG had the overall advantage in performance.
Yeager put him in the MIG 15 and he took the F-86 and waxed the Col. ass. Then they traded aircraft and Yeager waxed the guys ass again.

The MIG 15 on display at the USAF Museum at Wright Patterson AFB is the very same aircraft tested at Okinawa.
As far as I’m concerned the F-86 is one of the most beautiful aircraft to have ever flown. It just looks right, just like the P-51 Mustang just looks right. I guess that has something to do with the fact that both of those aircraft were designed by North American Aviation.

A little aside. When the US changed it’s markings of it’s aircraft during WW II they opted not to put the stars and stripes on both wings as they been with the old markings that the aircraft had early in the war. This went for both the Army and Navy aircraft.
Why?
Because such symmetrical visible markings placed out on each wing make perfect reference points for an enemy pilot aiming through his gun sight. Having the markings on only one wing created an asymmetrical effect making it more difficult for an enemy pilot aim accurately.
It was a trick neither the Japanese or the Germans caught on to.

After insecticide spraying killed off the local cats in a remote Borneo village, the rat population exploded, devouring food supplies and threatening the villagers’ survival.
So they parachuted cats into the village and saved the town..
Nope. Never heard about it. But I did see something on a TV program involving a similar solution to the same problem the people on some island in the Mediterranean were having.

The peacock I wrote about earlier is still coming around to feed. He’s been stopping by every evening. Last night there was a fox squirrel on the feeder that is 5 ‘ above the ground where I put down critter feed at the base of the big cottonwood tree. It was funny watching the reaction of that squirrel to that big bird. His tail twitching as he chittered at the bird and the bird just looking up at him unbothered.
After about 15 minutes of feeding the Peacock just ambled off.
We have seen 9 fox squirrels feeding at the same time in our yard and there are at least 4 pinies that come also. Plus of course all kinds of birds, lately even some crows have been stopping by.
Every morning I put a new corncob on the spike, and fill the 3 lb. feeder mounted on the cottonwood. I then scatter the bird seed below it and dump some critter feed on the ground in the same place.
Closer to the sun room I moved the two shepherds hooks and wired them to the new dog run fence. A single hook holds my 8 lb. squirrel proof feeder and a double shepherds hook holds two cages for seed blocks. I refill them as needed in the morning also. Wiring them into posts for the new fence makes sure they stay standing straight and makes it so I trim around them when I trim the fence. Two less things to maneuver around with the zero turn when mowing.
I go through about 5 lb of bird seed a day plus a pound of critter feed. Put in a new large seed block once every 3 days or so. Go through two corn cobs a day. Could go through more but enough is enough!

I had discovered that if I didnt bring in my ‘squirrel log’ by dusk, the raccoon would take the whole thing!
I have nicknamed the raccoon ‘bernie’ after bernie madoff. Every time the raccoon stole it, I found myself saying “he made off with my log again!”
So just a word of advice, in case the nocturnal critters are doing a bernie to your cobs. 🙂
The corn cob on the spike and the one I put on the ground with the critter mix are always completely stripped by late afternoon and sometimes gone completely. I have seen 9 fox squirrels at a time out there feeding and another time saw 4 pineys, so there are plenty of mouths to feed.

Micheal Mann’s Hockey stick minimized both the MWP (Medieval Warm Period) and the LIA (Little Ice Age) compared to all previous studies. The UNIPCC adopted Mann’s fraudulent graph as their gospel. Other alarmist “experts” claimed that the MWP was just a regional event only effecting Europe and the eastern half of the US.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

If we are his hands and feet on earth
Are we missing the point of our worth
Can we operate alone in tact
Then go to God after the fact
So is letting God and letting go

How can His kingdom ever come

Man, I wish my to nails looked like that guys. My years of heavy calluses from humping heavy rucksacks and sometimes sleeping in my boots have left me with what Sherry calls “dragon feet”. I have no foot pain except for the occasional cramp, but I do have some ugly toe nails and feet.
