So if you are in Texas and there’s a drought, there’s an obscure rule that allows you to bypass zoning complaints if you are running water lines. So you put together a plan to run water, get the siting fast tracked, then share the right of way with the overhead wires. You can then get the renewable energy credits + federal ITC subsidies from the wind output to pay for everything.
So altogether, you can put together a scheme that drastically reduces install costs, and a couple of years later you have wind farms all over Texas and the Oklahoma panhandle.

No he didn’t. On his first day in office, President Trump issued on EO stopping several offshore wind projects. The project owners sued arguing that the project had already met requirements in place at the time the BIDEN administration issued the permit for the windfarm. The court agreed.
THAT is why the ban was lifted by Interior on this particular project.
The same “court” laughed at the Keystone XL Pipeline when they said that all the approvals and permits were issued already!

Surely, their lawyers should have informed them that they would have a stronger case suing the politicians, journalists and pop-stars who assured them that the vaccines were safe and the social media companies who suppressed the voices of the unvaccinated and those doctors and scientists who did try to warn them.

I remember marveling about a virus which would jump on you, if you were standing up, but ignore you if you were sitting, would ignore you if you were drinking coffee, but jump on you if you drank beer, would attack you if you were alone on a beach but ignore you if you were at a mainly peaceful protest.
I also remember that although no-one knew where the virus originated, they knew with absolute certainty that it did not originate in a laboratory in China.
No-one seemed to think that this was unlikely to be true.

Dr. Vinay Prasad is an evidence based medicine purist. His critique of scientific studies goes a good distance in the process of separating the wheat from the chaff. He recognizes flaws, rigging, and false conclusions. He has been on a crusade over corrupted science. He is exactly the physician/scientist we need at CBER.
As he has said numerous times, “I am a man of the Left.” Fine. Understood. That is not why he was at the FDA.
Dr. Prasad has railed against the price gouging in cancer treatment. He especially has been dismayed by the way Pharma lobbies the legislature to add over-priced, marginal drugs to Medicare’s list of allowable charges.
There was a recent flap because he approved a COVID vaccine for kids, but with limitations that narrowed the use to a small subset. His action would have kept the vaccine from becoming part of the CDC’s schedule of recommended childhood vaccines that states use as a requirement for public school attendance. The question of whether a child who fell within the subset of conditions would receive the COVID vaccine became destined to be a matter of informed consent. Doesn’t that sound like where we need to be?
We hate corruption but have managed to run off a man who is inclined and well-suited to fight corruption at the FDA. Laura Loomer and Jim Hoft do not seem to realize that they are the ones politicizing Dr. Prasad’s work at the FDA. We need a clear-eyed scientist. We had one and lost him because of politics.

It is never a mistake to fire a “man of the left.” An honest person would walk away from that cabal of psychopaths e.g. RJKJr, Tulsi, etc.
And I do not believe he was indispensable (though the writer wishes to paint him so), there are plenty of honest researchers who would do a good job.

Why did he not speak up in 2020? Why did he not dump the Covid shop completely? Why doesn’t the guy admit the measeles shot causes measeles, mercury is a poison and the other junk in these shots should not be there. Just changing the name of some chemical in the injection isn’t going to make these things more acceptable.
Myocarditis was not a recognized side effect in 2020. Heavy-handed vaccine policy came in under Biden, not under Trump in 2020. Trump was very proud of the vaxx and Operation Warp Speed. Like Trump, Prasad was happy to have a vaxx that was supposed to be safe and effective.
Dr. Prasad quickly jumped off the vaxx bandwagon when the evidence finally began to roll in. He was not a happy man when he was required to get vaxxed in order to continue to work as an oncologist and researcher even though he was in good health and fitness for a 40 y/o man.
What seems to have stirred up Dr Prasad the most are the matters of closing schools and masking children. He considers such practices as harmful to children.
He lives in San Francisco, Ground Zero for COVID paganism.

Prasad is an actual MD, who should know better. Trump is not an MD and doesn’t pretend to be one.
Closing the schools and masking any age person was a disaster. Standing six feet apart was stupid too.
He got the shot before much of what now is known was in the public domain. He could not see a convincing risk versus benefit profile in his particular case, so he objected. Like many other productive people, he took the vaxx under duress so he could continue to work. That was in 2021 in San Francisco. He has complained about it several times since then but not as frequently as he has complained about the disregard for the harm of the children.
His complaints have not amounted to much then. Any Dr. who has complained about masks for anyone and children are included has had their license revoked by their state medical board.
I am sorry but how in the world can a Dr. hear Modified RNA injected into your arm is going to save you from a so-called airborne ‘bug’ that no one has ever seen under any microscope and roll up their sleeve?
I just do not believe the ‘it’s for the children” when it comes from a bureaucrat within the CDC especially if they proudly call themselves ‘a lefty’.

He was barred from work until he took the vaxx. He was a professor at UCSF Medical School.

My perception has been that over the years, the head of the FDA has usually rubber stamped the recommendations of the advisory panels.
Dr. Prasad absolutely did have something to do with that limited approval. In his field, hematologic oncology, the goal for Pharma is to gain approval for payment on the Medicare schedule. The big prize is inclusion in the standards of care. With vaccines, the goal is to make it onto the CDC’s recommended immunization list for children. Those shots become blockbusters for the companies.
He knows how the game is played. He countered the people under him who were willing to give full approval by stipulating limitations and hemmed in the vaccine companies by demanding further study.
By limiting the use to the relatively small cohort of children with conditions that would prompt their physicians to recommend the vaxx, the vaccine makers should be less inclined to spend the money to do the research. That is especially likely knowing that a harsh critic such as Dr. Prasad would be waiting to review their results. My expectation was that the vaxx companies would choose to abandon their efforts to jab children with COVID shots because Dr. Prasad was such a formidable roadblock.
Now we’ll have to wait and see if RFK Jr can find an equally crusty scientist/physician to fill the spot at the head of CBER.

A little strange. Not the existence of “burn bags”. But in all this time, the supposed garbage was never taken out?
Apparently in 2004 a new handling schedule was supposed to be put into effect for the careful organization, monitoring, secure storage, and then ultimate destruction of closed classified records (records that belong to “the people” but would not go to the National Archives.) But I can’t seem to find any schedule…

Second – Plea bargain material. Some low-hanging fruit gets thrown under the bus. Then asks for immunity because he can take you right to the signed, original documents.

The GDP formula is expressed as GDP = C + I + G + (X – M), where C is consumption, I is investment, G is government spending, and (X – M) represents net exports (exports minus imports).

Bessent wants 3% (at least). For what it is worth, I think 4% is doable. One main component is the trade imbalance: if that can be cut in half, that leads to an add’l 1% (as I recall when researching the effects of the One BBB).
Another component is the expected add’l investments. On paper, trillions are promised. But to quote the Maltese Falcon:
About $300 B per year adds 1% to the growth rate. If that really is much higher, then we will see some big GDP numbers.
FYI, the CBO baseline assumed 1.8% real GDP growth, so the 3% is 1.2% above that, mostly due to reduced imports.
A reduction in imports automatically increases the GDP calculation but it may not mean the economy here is actually better.

Here’s something I would like Trump/Congress to do:
Make it illegal for big corporations to buy up large tracks of housing.
It seems that was one of the main reasons that RE/rental prices went crazy.
The American Dream was to buy your own home, but that has gotten nearly impossible for most. These big corps. are a huge part of the problem.
It’s *not* about the “interest rates” as Trump says. It’s the *price* of the property to begin with.
Homes should be for individuals/families to buy, not mega corps.

It started in 2008, with the mortgage financial crisis. In the old days, when banks foreclosed on a house, they had to resell the house in a certain time frame. Congress changed the law so that the banks could retain the foreclosed homes on their balance sheets. This helped bail them out. The banks soon learned that Uncle Sam was the preferred renter, and they registered their new properties for Section 8. Then they jacked up the rent, creating capital gains as prices went up.
The banks still own these houses and have invested in vast apartment farms of three story walkups. You can tell a bank-owned house by the brown, weedy lawn. Most recently, the Feds were moving refugees into them and paying top dollar for rent. Nominal owners are NGOs such as Catholic Charities. The banks underwriting the loans are using the capital gains for income. The exposure is enormous, and if the Feds stopped paying rent for all the refugees, the big banks would be zombies.

And the bank did not want them to pay their mortgage, even tho they could afford to. The Bank benefited from keeping their home out of foreclosure.

Presidents don’t publicly accuse their predecessors of sedition if they don’t have that level of confidence in the evidence already collected.

Police say the suspect entered Vogler’s office, where he works at a local magazine, confronted him and doused him in flammable liquid. Both men then left the building and the 29-year-old suspect set Vogler on fire, police said.
