Following the ridiculous attempted smear campaign launched by Rupert Murdoch and the Wall Street Journal, President Trump has removed their pool reporter from the traveling press group who will fly to Scotland for Trump’s upcoming visit.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated:
“As the appeals court confirmed, the Wall Street Journal or any other news outlet are not guaranteed special access to cover President Trump in the Oval Office, aboard Air Force One, and in his private workspaces,” Leavitt said in a statement. “Due to the Wall Street Journal’s fake and defamatory conduct, they will not be one of the thirteen outlets on board. Every news organization in the entire world wishes to cover President Trump, and the White House has taken significant steps to include as many voices as possible.” (link)

It’s hard for many of us to believe, but a lot of conservatives/Trump supporters still watch Fox News.
I haven’t since Nov. ’20, but I know multiple conservatives who still do. My FIL watches it for hours (I’ve told him plenty of times what I think of it).

There are several folks at FOX News, and especially FOX Business, who supportive of Trump generally.
On FOX Business Maria Bartiromo, Stewart Varney, Larry Kudlow, and Charles Payne are anywhere from solid Trump supporters to OK supporters. And each of these folks regularly have guests who are also supportive.
On FOX News the pickings are slimmer, but they are there. The Greg Gutfeld show is good, and usually the guests are. Late night Trace Galleger and Kevin Corke are very good. And Waters is pretty good. And the younger Doocy is good [not so much his Dad].
Yeah..I’m fed up with Bret Bair, Laura Ingram, and Sean “motor mouth” Hannity. I get it.
And yeah, the Murdoch’s are slimy and Paul Ryan is a POS.
No — FOX News is not “MAGA Central”. And yes, a lot of it makes us cringe. BUT IT IS NOT ALL BAD!

Jesse Watters is very good & I’d add John Roberts to your “good” list. What’s wrong with Ingram? ; really nothing, in my opinion. Other than still being a bit “bossy”, she has improved remarkedly over the past couple of years; right on top of the critical news. Shannon Bream deserves to be on the Bair-Hannity list. As cute as Bream is, I never watch those three. Also, Levin’s weekend shows are very informative and mostly “on the Mark”. Overall, regarding the competing cable outlets and the “big three”, FOX is by far the best, even under ownership by Murdoch.

I confess to watching Jesse and Gutfield…on Sling. No longer have the wretched Comcast/Xfinity.
I watch those as well (on youtube, where some Arabian-named fellow puts them up with any singing or dancing excised out). Jesse’s show is well-paced and includes most of the good clips from the day’s news. I don’t know why I watch Gutfeld!, it’s probably a throwback to when I was 11 or 12 and would stay up to watch Carson’s monologue every night with the sound down low lest my parents hear.

We live in a very politically conservative town and county but the local newspaper, owned by out of towners, continues to have a liberal slant. Maybe that’s why they’ve cut back to 5 days a week.

You can read the 1st sentence or 2 and see some of the photos, but then, they slap up a subscription page.

On that note, I, too, small conservative rural town with a POS liberal (not just “leaning’) newspaper (both electronic and paper available) with EVERY national news article straight off the AP hotline. The only thing it’s good for is reading about the local kids participating in sports and to see who got arrested for DUI in the last week.

The Wall Street Journal I canceled in early 2017, after almost 30 years of subscribing: I was trying to ignore the increasing criticism of President TRUMP, mainly because I still found their non-political articles, especially in the Saturday edition on Culture, of interest.
But one day I saw one too many whining and untruthful essays about President TRUMP by the fake Conservative Peggy Noonan, and I canceled the subscription.
When Murdoch took it over, the downhill journey began!
The Business News reporting fell apart also. The Editorial Page went so far left I lost sight of them.
The pictures filled the pages and had no relation to the story. The electronic version had articles up for a month. It had turned into a bimonthly by the time I gave up.
I stopped reading it when Murdoch took over. It changed so quickly.
2007, I gave it 3 more years. What a waste.
I personally hold a belief that the downfall of our media in this country stems from a strong underlying CCP influence which has quietly crept into so many other of our institutions of higher learning (as well as pre-schools, corporations, government(s), et al).

In one of my government budgeting classes in my Public Administration undergrad coursework the professor used the WSJ because it was considered a newspaper of record (I took the class around 2007/2008). I concurred, but I see their junk now.
I think a lot of entities would be better off staying out of politics: local news, regional news, national news, entertainers, businesses, etc.
Just sell a good product, create good content starting out of the political extremes and you’ll reap fortunes.
As I mentioned earlier, been a subscriber for over 27 years, but am allowing it to expire at end of month.
In the last few years, the so-called “news” side of the publication degenerated into Leftist opinion.
At the same time as Trump got elected first time, the Opinion side increasingly flaunted their Chamber of Commerce bone fides. This was best illustrated in the constant complaints about immigration enforcement. Increasingly, most of what they published in their Editorials about Trump was criticism.
There are still a couple actual conservative Opinion writers there worth the trouble: Kim Strassel, James Freeman, and James Taranto. But they are in a decreasingly small minority. Peggy Noonan is about as conservative as Karl Marx.
Back when Peggy Noonan was working for Ronald Reagan, and shortly thereafter, she was a happily married young mother with a great writing style. I looked forward to her pieces every week!
But then, she got divorced, got bitter, started drinking too much, and started caring way too much about invites to the cool kids parties in DC!
After that, her life went downhill and her writing did the same and now she is just an angry harpy with nothing interesting to say and nothing productive to contribute to any conversation!
I abandoned her cold-turkey 2 decades ago when she described the mayhem, chaos, and violence of new-comers to our shores as just young kids out for a good time; that was the mark of a woman who had lort her way.
Henceforth I regarded her as bad company, as in bad company corrupts good character.
Yep! That’s about the same time I quit reading her as well! And when she came out in 2008 gushing over Bambi, I knew she was completely irredeemably gone!

I finally had enough and cancelled my multi-decade subscription. The WSJ is now Mother Jones with stock quotes.
And, all of them worthless. I vaguely remember the WSJ that used to exist, but that was a very long time ago.
Newspapers always used to have more than one edition before the internet, an early edition and a later edition. This is a 2016 edition so it’s competing with the internet. I do not find anything strange or nefarious in a newspaper having different headlines for different areas trying to make sales. Not everything is a conspiracy.
Not when you consider yourself a newspaper of record, or at least the stated goal of the WSJ, NY Times.
If your a rag opinion piece, then sure do whatever you want – I guess that’s what they are now.
The only views fit to print.
So who exactly is making these distribution decisions? It’s not Murdoch himself, obviously. Is the Editor-in-Chief affiliated with the Communist Chinese Party in any way? Or is he just a diehard Marxist/Socialist supporter? Inquiring minds would like to know.
No other President with an R behind his name would have the integrity to do this.

The Murdochs turn every publication they own into a tabloid. It is the only content model they seem capable of creating. I used to read it even as a teenager working in my family’s business but in more recent years even when we received it free because of my husband’s employment we seldom read it. The decline in quality has been severe. I hope Trump and his lawsuit send them a wake up call with a huge settlement from the slimey Murdochs.

Just watched The Five on Fox. The word has apparently gone out from the Murdochs that these shows are not to discuss the Gabbard document release. The first segment was on the border, and the next segment is going to be on Hunter Biden. You have got to be kidding me.
