Israel Update: (Part 1 of 4)

Antisemitism or Anti Israel – The MAGA “Influencers”.
There is a wave of Anti-Israel and in some cases Antisemitism in the MAGA movement and the world. I feel that is my duty to expose, explain, prevent.
To understand antisemitism Vs anti-Israel or Anti-Zionism you must have a basic understanding about the subject of “intentions” and “Black PR”.
I will start with simple definitions: “Black Propaganda” is a “False and derogatory information that is put forward in order to harm the survival and reputation of a well intentioned person or group”. Read it twice. It’s key. The one who spreads it is has an evil intention in action. Those who pass it on are complicit. There is an old story from Judaism which I don’t remember in full but:
There was a man who spread a lie about a “friend”. That the friend “stole something”.
This caused great damage to the “friend”. People started to ban him. He also lost business.
Eventually it was found that there was never an action of theft. It was false, an error.
And the man apologized and felt bad about it. He said to his “friend”. “I am sorry,
I really am, what can I do?”
The friend said : “Do you see this pillow? Open it up and throw out all the feathers”.
And the man did so. He spread it all over the area. Hundreds and thousands of feathers.
Now he said: “Now, Pick the feathers up and put them back in the pillow case”.
The friend said: How can I do it. This is impossible.
So the man said: “This is what happened with the spread of the libelous rumor. Do you understand now?”
Libel is one of the hardest sins to repair. It is not a light matter.
The best way to make Black Propaganda stick is in the presence of a mystery and vacuum and hate or dislike. Like in the case of Epstein. And the hate is to Israel and/or Jews.
So now Tucker is spreading that Israel and the “Mossad is behind Epstein”. Of course there is zero evidence, but he is saying it with certainty and now we have others who pass it on.
For example Magen Kelly. Even Bannon praised the Tucker and Kelly speeches as “historic”.
And I am hearing from one of my sources that also Marjorie Tayler Greene is into it.
And then a half of the crowd in the Conservative convention raised a hand to say that they believe it. So this is beyond the feather story. We are talking about tens of millions exposed to the Black Propaganda. Again, there is zero evidence for it, it’s speculation mainly based on a possible link of Maxwell’s father to Mossad. While the father’s link to Mossad is possible, the daughter and Epstein relation to it is very unlikely. The point is that those are speculations.
Now about “antisemitism” and “anti-israel”. Anti-Israel is not antisemitism. There can be valid reasons for objections and dislikes. When the term “antisemitism” is misused to attack, it gets a bad reputation and reactions. But unlike most forms of hate and bigotry, antisemitism historically relates to annihilation and exterminationof Jews. It’s not like hate of blacks or hate of Muslims or gays. It is with the intent to exterminate. In order to do so there has to be Black Propaganda to make the Jews look evil enough to deserve to die, to deny them a state and the means for self defense and survival in that state.
Now in modern days those who used to say “Jews” may feel endangered to say it so bluntly so they may say “Zionists” or “Israel”. But an experienced ear can identify the same good old lines of hundreds and thousands of years. They may be sure that they are “not antisemites but only have legitimate objections to Israel” and attack anyone who would dare to say that they are antisemites. And again I am not saying that that an objection to Israeli policy or behaviors is antisemitism. I am not trying to use the term as a weapon.
But look at the intent. Not the “logic of the claim”. The lines are very similar for generations.
It’s easy to identify them. Look at the obsession and the disproportionate accusation with double standards. Israel may have killed over 50,000 of which maybe almost a half are terrorists and the neighbor killed over a half a million civilians in Syria and you don’t hear a word about it. They will be obsessed with Israel. It’s the intent. Remember what I said about extermination?
Let’s take an example. There are about 157 Christian majority nations in the world.
57 Muslim majority nations. One Jewish majority nation. And there are 48 American States of 50, larger than Israel. You need to zoom a map to even see Israel.
So there are solid evidences that Iran is having about 880Lb of enriched uranium at the level of about 17 times higher than needed for a peaceful energy project. This is reported by the International Energy Agency. The Supreme Leader of Iran almost daily posts that “Israel is a cancer and the date that they will exterminate it is near”. Israel prefers to save itself from extermination. Now who jumps front and center and leads the campaign against it with all the “Influencers”? Tucker.
He denies Iran’s intentions which are stated endlessly publicly. He denies the facts of what they have as if he knows. He ignores the regular “Death to America” chants. He is trying hard to enable them to do what they intend to do. To destroy Israel. At some point even Trump called him “Kooky”.
I will never forget. While we are in the midst of an existential war on seven fronts. We have to regularly go to shelters with sirens. We have sons of friends dying, injured and kidnapped.
The Liberal Progressive mob is on Hamas’ side. The media is one sided with Hamas propaganda and Tucker decided that it is time to make an Interview with an antisemite Priest from Betlehem who falsely put forward the idea that “Israel is into killing Christians”.
A known antisemite “Priest” (from Betlehem) who celebrated the 10/7 massacre and said that he was “shocked by the strength of the Palestinians…” (in relation to 10/7). A man who is well known for his propoganda against Israel. Who is a supporter of BDS (the organization who intends to boycott Israel to destroy it). A man who denies the connection of Jews to Israel. A man who has been using lies again and again. He barely has any congregation.
In Betlehem under Muslim control the Christian population declined from some 80% Christian to 12-15%. Remember the definition? The intention to get rid of the Jews or the Jewish state which means in the Middle East extermination. Everyone in Israel knows what will happened if the Palestinians had the power to overcome Israel. It’s a Holocaust.
I took Tucker as the example and I can go on and on. But he is a good example because he now inflamed others with his hate. The “feathers” are out. It appears that he is getting Magen Kelly, Bannon, Massie, Marjorie Tayler Green and others into his vile campaign.
The scapegoat was yet again Yisrael. Whenever anything went wrong in the world it became usual to attribute it to Yisrael. In fact many of the claims begin to sound ridiculous to the objective mind. Of course, the minions of Satan in the Shill Squealer Media Propaganda Ministry’s mission is to keep everything clouded and misdirected in the minds of the sheeple.

Israel Update (Part 2 of 4):
The assault on AIPAC, valid or antisemitic?
So the AIPAC is a force for the US/Israel alliance. I don’t deny that it has power.
It is definitely important for the survival of Israel. Therefore if you want to see an extermination of Jews in Israel, then AIPAC is a very important target. It must be eliminated smeared, and receive a good share of Black PR.
Now, with all honesty I think that the subject of “lobbying” should be re-evaluated. I want to assume an American point of view. Not Israeli. I will be back to AIPAC but let’s dig deeper.
Let’s start with the definition: “A Lobby is a group or organization that tries to influence decisions made by government officials, especially legislators”.
A question: Should any organization be able to influence politicians or legislators?
The answer is of course yes. It’s unavoidable. Organizations want to survive and many of them have great good purposes. Religious organizations, Protecting the Constitution organizations, anti abortion organizations. Everybody wants to influence politicians and legislation. It’s unavoidable.
A question: Should it be legal to buy politicians and legislators? NO!
This is the BIG fat elephant in the room. It was actually a huge realization that I had as I was doing this research. The entire political system is screwed. You can’t change much for the individual. To be in office you need money. And the Lobby groups pay. Pharma, Military Industrial Complex, Unions, etc…
You want to decrease drug prices? Good luck, Pharma have their politicians. You want to reduce the risk of war? Good luck the Military Complex has its politicians. You want to limit employment visas? Good luck The Tech lobby has its politicians. And so on. Including any Lobby, Qatar Lobby, Saudi Lobby and AIPAC. It is beyond me why buying politicians is not only allowed, but it is the way, the system, the heart of how the America politics and Government system works. This is not criticism of America. I bet that it is the same in Israel and most nations. I need to dig in on it to know. Not today. But would be good to know.
Let’s take some examples of leading lobbies: The NRA (Gun lobby), What do they do? Protecting the Second Amendment by ads, litigations, exposing the views of political candidates in advance, financial donations to political candidates. Is it good or bad? Protecting the Constitution is “yes”. But buying politicians, I would say any buying of a politician is bad no matter why.
The most powerful Lobby in the US, The Pharma Lobby: It’s goal is to influence politicians, legislation and regulations in the benefit of drug companies. Activities: Influencing the FDA to speed up and approve drugs, influencing standards of trials and labeling, push for insurance coverage, etc… How does it influence? Donations to campaigns of politicians.
45-60% of FDA people end up working for Drug companies. Lobbyists can indirectly
(Wink and nod) suggest future employment and influence drug approvals. Is this lobby good or bad? Obviously countless people died due to this lobby’s influence on regulations and approvals. Also ridiculously high drug prices and Insurance prices are all related. Awful!
Those were the two strongest lobbies. The other strongest lobbies are: Gas and Oil, Tech, Finance and Banking, Agriculture, Military Industrial Complex, Labour Union. Those are richer than political lobbies.
Now before I get into AIPAC let’s see who else is lobbying politically like that:
The Saudi Lobby : Millions on PR, Think Tanks and Government Access.
Qatar Lobby: Uses Lobby firms and PR. Not consolidated but uses a verity of companies.
Heavy investments in Universities, media, etc…
UAE Lobby. Turkish Lobby. CASIL (Chinese Lobby).
Those first few are very rice, much more than AIPAC, and can influence a lot but are registered as “Foreign Agents” because they get directions and funds directly from foreign nations. The Saudis invested some 100 millions since 2016. Mainly related to arms deals. Qatar uses elite firms from the US. Heavy investments in US Universities, Media, Think Tanks,
There are Cuban, Turkish, Indian, Armenian, Greek, AIPAC Lobbies which are not registers “foreign agents”. Because they are not paid by and get orders from foreign nations.
If AIPAC was a registered “Foreign Agent” would it damage it? Yes.
It is mainly a point of reputation as opponents would claim that it represents the Israeli government and is not an American organization. Restrictions on donations to candidates, they will have to find other ways to donate than the PACs they have now. But there are ways. Strict transparency specially financial and contacts with public figures. Some Congress members may distance themselves from Foreign Agent contacts but it can still do the same.
AIPAC. What is it? “American Israel Public Affairs Committee”. Established in 1951.
A strong political lobby for a strong Israel-US relationship. It does not wish to damage or alter America (like Islamist lobbies or Communists, who have other ideas to replace the Constitution) but it does attempt to influence foreign relations to support Israel.
Is it successful? A tough question. Not as much as it would like and not as haters would say with their “Jews control America”, and it was much stronger in the past than now because of internal political shifts in the US. I mean that the old GOP and the old DNC were more influenced but now you have the Progressives from left and the America First from the right who are not much influenced by this lobby.
The simple evidence that it’s not as powerful as some say is that the State Department is historically anti-Israel. They opposed saving Israel in the Yom Kippur war when we were losing the war (Nixon bypassed them and helped). Blinken was more on the Arab side, Kissinger was more on the Arab side, it goes on and on. Even America Presidents are not historically “puppets of Israel”. In fact it is more the opposite. Bush forced Israel to enable elections in Gaza which led to Hamas taking power, Biden put a partial munition ban on Israel, Reagan condemned Israel after it attacked the reactor in Iraq, Trump definitly does whatever his heart tells him regardless of pressures, in fact we all complain how Bibi needs permission for every move.
Israel was pressured by the US to cancel its Jet Fighter manufacturing project. In general the US has been pro Israel and gave a lot of money and weapons. But it also makes Israel pay in terms of obedience to some things that are not necessarily good for it. So the claim that “Israel is controlling America” is the exact opposite of the truth.
America controls Israel. We sometimes feel like a “Puppet “State”. And if you followed me for a while you know how much frustration I expressed in times that Israel was making sacrifices because of American pressures.
So again the subject of Back PR. False and derogatory information intended to damage the reputation and survival of a well intentioned group or organization. It is likely a variation of the antisemite line of “The Jews control the world” with insinuation that we are “war mongers” and “responsible for world’s wars”. This is nothing new. It goes exactly the same for hundreds if not thousands of years. This is regardless of how good or bad AIPAC is. AIPAC is not a bad intentioned organization like the Qatar lobby who wants to replace democracy.
Is AIPAC made of mainly Dual Citizens? No. The numbers are not fully clear but the estimate is that 85% to 95% are only American Citizens.
Is it more for one party? No. It is officially bipartisan. But in recent years it inclined financially more to DNC (DNC55%-RNC65%). But some Democrats blame it for “being too Right wing”. The variation of financial donations is not necessarily for preferring the DNC. More because there were more struggles to keep pro Israel candidates in the DNC which was gravitating to Progressives. By the way, this is good for America too, less Progressives.
Are all the candidates who received money really pro Israel Government? No.
Schumer for example got a good amount and was advocating replacing Bibi. But he is still considered to be better than the AOC group and the Bernie who are very hostile to Israel.
What amounts are we talking about? Most Congressional Candidates get some hundreds of thousands per election cycle. Through PACs. Not directly. What else can AIPAC do? Arrange trips to Israel for Congress people. As to increase affinity and understanding.
What about the Presidential elections? AIPAC does not pay directly. But affiliate PACs do. Miriam Adelson, a friend of AIPAC, gave Trump over a 100 millions in the last elections.
A key donation of his campaign. Through a PAC of her own but I have to say that Trump is a personal friend and she could have donated regardless of AIPAC.
A friend of AIPAC, Bernie Marcus Co-Founder of Home Depot gave a million.
And a few others gave a million each. Not the AIPAC but friends of AIPAC.
Did Kamala Harris get AIPAC related donations? Yes. One PAC gave 5 millions and one 6 millions and another one gave ads.
But what will the antisemite say? It’s an easy one. The same that they said for hundreds and thousands of years. “The Jews/Zionists Control America through AIPAC”.
What did Hitler say? “The Jews control Germany”. Of course it makes them responsible for financial problems and wars. And what did Tucker just discussed with MTG?
“AIPAC are NEOCONS who try to get the US into war and they did so before.”
Candace said that “Israel killed JFK because he went against AIPAC”.
And Massie is on a similar line of attack about AIPAC.
Again. I tended to believe that lobbies are a wrong thing. Just because there is some truth to it then the Black PR against Israel or Jews may stick better. They can influance. Remember the title of my essay is about “Influencers”.

Who are the haters of Israel within MAGA and are they antisemites?
I can tell only some names and you can decide if they are antisemites. One of them is 100% yes, Candace Owens (she doesn’t omit, but I can list it all here lines and it’s unmistakable. She even sympathetic to Hitler. I don’t care if she uses the term Zionists or Jews. The Black PR lines are unmistakable. If you want me to provide it let me know.
Tucker: If you told anyone in Israel the word “Tucker”, the response will be “antisemite”.
I am not talking about the use of this term to attack him. I am talking about the perception in Israel. I am pretty sure that his obsessive intent and actions to harm and incite against the Jewish State with lies and smart manipulations is antisemitic based. Because he is very smart he didn’t fully expose it yet but once you walk this path you will sooner or later cross the line and say the worst.
When you harm someone or a group you have to justify it. In order to justify it you have to invent even stronger accusations and the circle eventually puts one in the dark. He is very smart and is right on many subjects which makes him more harmful to Israel. If you doubt it it’s ok. If you’re offended, I am offended too. I liked him so it upsets me. The more you like or love someone the bigger the upset.
Let me tell you something interesting. Two days ago I responder on Facebook to a friend.
An American. A really successful guy, Jewish, a donor for Trump. An active guy.
Another guy from the UK responded. It was about Ukraine. I will not mention names, he is a known personality in the UK and a Trump supporter too. A successful man. Somehow I mentioned Tucker as an antisemite. The guy jumped to defend Tucker. He said: “I know Tucker, he is my friend. He is a good guy. No way antisemite”.
I didn’t get into an argument. I wanted him to stay a friend with Tucker. Maybe he will be a good influence. The next day my friend from the US is sending me a private message.
I blocked him. He was getting really nasty, pushing back on undeniable facts and making less of me personally. Why am I saying it? Because the one who defended and liked him turned out to also be dark.
Thomas Massie: Trump already exposed him and wants to remove him.
Another one who is floating the “AIPAC which dominated the US”.
I watched a video, he is so “very worried about dual citizens” and he labels Israel as an adversary rather than a friend. Only about 60,000 are living in the US with dual Israeli American citizenship. It is about 0.02 % of the US population.
My sister in law and her husbands were under this category. She is a huge Trump supporter. They owned a business of electrical and later computer programs and employed locals. When her husband applied to a citizenship he was told that “they wish many more were like him, a business owner and employer of others”. The man is more loyal to the US than Israel but I don’t see a contradiction. There aren’t any Dual Israeli American citizens in Congress. Again you wonder why is the attention and disproportionate concern to it even exist? Historically the “dual loyalty accusation” is a known antisemite line. This was a key accusation of Hitler.
If there was a problem then sure. Legislate a rule that it’s illegal. Fine. An Israeli passport gives no advantage at all aside for some feeling of imagined safety margin in case that the US is becoming unlivable for Jews. But even that is false as Israel is always willing to accept them back with or without an Israeli Passport. But isn’t every immigrant holds some level of of love to their old nation? Why is the fuss? Remember that a part of antisemitism is the disproportionate referral. This is really a problem only on the head of the complainer.
He opposed two legislations against antisemitism. One was only a statement of condemnation. He opposes any military aid to Israel.
He was the only one in the GOP to oppose a condemnation of the BDS, the organization who has the goal of destroying Israel by boycotting it.
Is he antisemite? I don’t know. For sure a strong hater of Israel. And an extreme Libertarian to a point that he would consider a condemnation of Nazism as a violation of the First Amendment. (He didn’t say it but I am explaining his opposition to the anti Antisemitism votes and his extreme view).
MTG (Marjorie Tayler): She is on the exact same wagon as the others. I saw how Tucker is feeding her and she is not smart enough to notice and saying exactly what he wanted to hear. I would rather not expand on her because it is more of the same. She is into Conspiracy theories so probably confuses theory with fact. By the way I am not opposing all conspiracy theories, some are true but not what she is saying. She was a “QAnon girl”.
She is on record saying that “The LA fires some years back were caused by the Rothschilds who use special space laser technology.” If by saying the Rothschilds she meant “The Jews” then it’s obvious. But I will give her the benefit of the doubt. If she jumped deep enough into QAnon then it gets to be pretty antisemite material about “Zionists Controlling the world”.

My Rant and Closing:
Now my rant about the recent accusations from the lovely few about the “Warmongers Zionists who simply wanted to get the US into a World War and always want war”.
You think that we enjoy wars? You know how it feels to see your father go to war when you’re a child? Or how a father feels when he goes to war and leaves a family behind? You realize that Israelis go to war even after their few years of mandatory duty? We are “warmongers”?
Israelis never ever wanted anyone to fight our wars for us. We learned the hard way to count only on ourselves in existential matters.
Do you know what was the happiest day in Israel’s history? I can tell you from direct observation. The day that Israel signed a peace treaty with Egypt. “Zionists cried from excitement everywhere”. There were spontaneous dancing in the streets. Are we really the reason for why the US went to any war?
All this line of “The US fighting in the Middle East for Israel” is 100% Black Propoganda.
The invasion to Afghanistan? Nothing to do with Israeli wishes. We have no business with the Afghans. Never did. It’s not even the Middle East.
War in Kuwait? Nothing to do with Israel. It was about the oil, protecting it from Iraq.
War on ISIS? Nothing to do with Israel, Israel hardly had any issues with ISIS. It was a West problem.
War in Iraq? 80% votes for it because of false CIA Intel. You want to blame Israel? Why didn’t the President demand to see evidence of weapons of mass destruction before going to war? It was the same Bush who forced Israel to make elections in Gaza that led to the rise of Hamas. Israel opposed it. I have on video his false explanation and justifications.
Anyways. I hope I didn’t overwhelm anyone. This is a heavy subject and no fun. Specially no fun for me who lost a half of my family to antisemitism. Yes the gas chambers were real.
The mother of my wife was in Aushwitz Death Camp and accidentally was exposed to the gas chambers, a very strong woman. Went into a shock. Couldn’t talk for days. This makes it personal for me. Her parents, her grandparents, uncles and aunts, my father’s parents, his sister, grandparents, uncles aunts, everyone. At the age of 17 or 18 it was the last that my father saw anyone from his expanded family and he looked for them.
I am not asking for sympathy. We moved on. All of us. My mom who was in Aushwitz not so much. She suffered mental health problems all her life.
But we moved on. We didn’t look backwards. We say “never again” as a survival policy not as a victimhood and a cry for mercy of sympathy.
We are peaceful people. We would love to be able to share the land and live in peace.
Most of us. But the other side has proven endless times another intention than co-existence.
If it was up to me I would have done everything to change that frame of mind of our neighbors. But it’s not simple. Netanyahu has plans to de-radicalize them but good luck.
The whole subject is brought back to our faces now. The “logical explanations” and disproportionate desire to delegitimize and destroy the only Jewish state is not some “logical discussion on subject matters”. The attack on AIPAC is not “for America”, it’s to weaken Israel and aimed at denying it support and survival. It could have been for America if it was a single attack but I just gave the context. It’s not a discussion about “America First”. Israel wants America to succeed. It’s its most important ally.
There are a lot more Israeli Jews who support Trump than Americans, in percentage. It’s around the 65%-70%. Second in the world. We appreciate the USA. It has blessed Israel and to some degree we blessed the USA too within our ability.
As to AIPAC you can tell that I am against the whole lobby system that enables to pay for politicians directly or indirectly. Of course as an Israeli I support AIPAC. It has a similar goal to mine with regard to have the best possible relations with the US and keep the alliance strong. But if I was an American I would want to change the system. It’s a legal question and needs legislation. They are not violating any law apparently yet they can make donations (indirectly) to those who would be good for Israel. I think that the subject needs more discussion. I mean if you are for example Korean American and you want the US politicians to be good for Korea. Isn’t it your right to donate to the politicians of your choice?
I guess there should be more restrictive donation rules just like I think about any lobby including none political. And there should be a complete block on any lobby who desires to replace the Constitution, Like Qatar and China. So I can see why the opposition. There something to it. What is going on with some of the “conservative opinion leaders” is hurtful.
It is being used by foreign governments and Globalists who wish to see Trump and the GOP fall in order to break MAGA and turn people against Trump. The whole Epstein fiasco is going to be promoted by Iran and possibly Russia to weaken Trump and the Liberal media will stir it up. The Mossad Black PR will be floated again and again to keep the subject hot.
It is now used as a Psy Op against MAGA. You now have a group who started to talk against Trump, Tucker, MTG, Massie, etc… It is indirect yet. I was one of the first to detect QAnon as a Psyop. A Psyop is the art of using psychology and emotional manipulation as a weapon to destroy or weaken a Political group or person. I like Trump and his instincts keep him away from it all. He could handle the Epstein case better but he is not the bad guy in this fiasco.
It is being used to destroy MAGA and pay attention to the players who appear “overly concerned”. There are bigger things at stake. I wouldn’t like Trump to lose the Mid term because of Tucker and the group that I mentioned.
I am overall optimistic because of a few things.
Trump’s heart seems to be in the right place. He is opposing the dark forces that I mentioned earlier. His instincts are good. He has blessed Israel and may God bless him and all his good actions.
And as to Israel, we passed the worst. We are not done but it will be better and better.
Even the Stock Market in Israel is at a record high. People are optimistic despite the pain.

Good morning Betsy. The first of these three images brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for a great collection of Cursday images.
“Kitty Central” update. Monday I let them all loose in the house! Chaos for a couple of hours. They’ve settled down now. I closed the bedroom doors. They have plenty of space to run in the rest of the house.
They continue to get fed in the laundry room and their litter boxes are in there and they just jump or climb the gate to get there. The first evening, they returned to the laundry room and slept (their comfort zone), but now sleep in various places in the office and living area.
I’ve decided to keep them all and get them neutered and spay when they are old enough. My son offered to pay for this. There are several clinics close that will do it according to your income. I am keeping mom and three kittens. My son’s girlfriend is taking one and I will look for homes for the three remaining. Might be easier with them already fixed.
They are not a bit afraid of Beau. Percy and Oliver are the most brazen and just will mess with him the most. Cleo, the mom is not afraid of him either. In fact while he was eating this morning, she calmly walked under him, tail held high, very nonchalantly. I could not help but laugh out loud as the look on Beau’s face was “what just walked under me while I was eating”, with head tilted!

Now that I’ve had another birthday (81 on the 15th) I’m again giving some thought to getting a dog. For most of my life I’ve had dogs in my life.
When I was too young to own a dog, I was my father’s champion bird-dog’s “boy”. Prince looked after me when I was playing in the back yard—even allowing me into his dog house when the afternoons turned cold . . . A few years later my first dog was little Suzie, a tiny mixed breed terrier who was with us until my 20’s.
But, when Sweetie passed, my peripheral neuropathy has so effected my ability to walk that I’m wrestling with some practical questions re: dog ownership. What do you think of adopting an elderly dog?
A belated Happy Birthday, Garrison ! You’re now two years into being an octogenarian!
I never personally had a dog in the family but my wife’s family had several during her childhood. We have had cats for our nearly 53 years of marriage and she says “no dogs” now that we’re in our mid/latter 70s and both of us with some walking issues. We have family and friends with older dogs and for the most part, those dogs are all gentle, well-behaved, and loving animals.
As for a senior dog, I would imagine that if the dog is well-trained to only do its “business” outside and is well-mannered in the house, that would be a very positive addition to your family.
A belated Happy Birthday to you Garrison. From what I’ve read, the elderly dogs are the most difficult dogs to get adopted out from the shelters, so there would probably be several choices of size, etc. if you decide to get one.
Do you have any type of yard around your house? Senior dogs probably would not want to walk too far to do their business, and a small yard would be plenty for them. If you have a small yard, in back preferably, you could put in one of those inexpensive anchor type things (having a senior moment and can’t remember what they are called), and a long lead on it and the dog could get a little bit of exercise and do his business and you would not have to worry about walking him. Just a suggestion if you decide to get a senior dog.

Well first I have to consider what would Tink think…would she be okay with a competitor for your affections in the house? is it possible to know? Your relationship ship with her is so close and I’m certain she considers herself the chatelaine Chez Garrison, which she is…
I know how precious Prince and Sweetie were to you and how much you miss having a dog. If your missing is anything like ours without our Penny, a one of of there ever was one, I completely understand the hole which remains.
But if you were to decide, an older dog might be perfect…for you and him/her. Only you would be able to assess if Tink’s world would be upset. Was she with you when you had Sweetie? Oh gee, Garrison…I am so touched you’d ask for my advice, pitiful as that advice is.
If an older dog, another thing to consider are the vet bills, and on those (not knowing your circumstances) I’d have to calculate. I remember a time when such bills were reasonable, but times have changed. There’s always insurance, but I am clueless on the expense…
So I leave you with those considerations….
The last thing I want to do is talk you out of an extra companion. It’s a shame Tink cannot give you her okay or not. She’s so sweet, and you two are comfortable with one another…

Betsy makes excellent points about adoption and Tinkster’s comfort level. I want to mention to you, though, to check with your local ASPCA or shelter. MANY offer senior placement incentives – for hard to place senior pets – including FREE healthcare and food for the life of the veteran pet. Do check, as it’s been a few years since I was aware of such – but shelter’s need space – and these pets need so much love.
It’s a wonderful idea for you to share you space and Burro Lady is right about those little anchors in the lawn – but do be careful of any tripping hazards, leads, toys, and chew treats.

More and more I think I’ll look for an elderly dog who can come home with me. I’d like to be “claimed” like Sweetie did. Maybe another border collee or maybe a smaller dog, one I can easily pick up? It will run from the concrete slab off the end of our deck across the back of the house and then come back to the NE corner of the sun room.
It will have a gate that opens out onto the concrete slab.
Once installed One just has to open the sliding glass door from the sun room to let the dogs in and out.

HOW HOW HOW do you find these? I have not seen my little baby charges and the apartment landscapers have put weed and grass killer into my rock beds around my condo-style apartment – so I’m worried the “littles” have been had a rough go of it. I placed 8 of them in my big potted plant – so I’m hoping that one day, I’ll turn a leaf and find one staring at me with their quizzical look.
The newest wildlife sighting – has been an abundance of bunnies – bunnies EVERYWHERE!!! Picking up kiddo from her night shift, they scatter all over the neighborhood. We only spot them in the early, early mornings – so what a blessing to catch them before sunrise. Wonder where their dens are?
One of our technicians today spotted a Sparrow who he thought was blind and struggling. It was still a baby with the slightest little poof of fluffy down on its back. It would fly very short distances then get mixed in with the equipment on the lot. He was so fearful it would get run over – he was able to catch the little darling and he took it deep into the brush in the back of the property. Mother and Daddy birdie were flying around surveying “the rescue”. Probably were irritated with our human meddling. Fun to see a hurly, burly man with so tender a heart.

Mornin’ Idaho – those old pups are so easy to love. When my folks were older, they adopted only very old dogs to ease their last days. So difficult, but so rewarding also.

COMMENTARY FOR JOHN 14
Christ comforts his disciples. (1-11) He further comforts his disciples. (12-17) He still further comforts his disciples. (18-31)
(18-24) “Christ promises that he would continue his care of his disciples. I will not leave you orphans, or fatherless, for though I leave you, yet I leave you this comfort, I will come to you. I will come speedily to you at my resurrection. I will come daily to you in my Spirit; in the tokens of his love, and visits of his grace. I will come certainly at the end of time. Those only that see Christ with an eye of faith, shall see him for ever: the world sees him no more till his second coming; but his disciples have communion with him in his absence. These mysteries will be fully known in heaven. It is a further act of grace, that they should know it, and have the comfort of it. Having Christ’s commands, we must keep them. And having them in our heads, we must keep them in our hearts and lives. The surest evidence of our love to Christ is, obedience to the laws of Christ. There are spiritual tokens of Christ and his love given to all believers. Where sincere love to Christ is in the heart, there will be obedience. Love will be a commanding, constraining principle; and where love is, duty follows from a principle of gratitude. God will not only love obedient believers, but he will take pleasure in loving them, will rest in love to them. He will be with them as his home. These privileges are confined to those whose faith worketh by love, and whose love to Jesus leads them to keep his commandments. Such are partakers of the Holy Spirit’s new-creating grace.”

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
We are, Duchess, and it never lets up. Let the chips fall where they may – God Wins.

WHAT AM I DOING response
Here is a lift for your heavy heart
Your introspections are, instead, wonderful contributions
Your heartfelt expressions enable others to soar with your grace
The wonderful thing about interjected thoughts is that readers can collect them like gems for further contemplation
Your hearts desire needs no forgiveness as only sharing was intended
Your many moving and inspiring poems touch our hearts daily
A day without a plethora of Duchess contributions is bleak. Blessings abound
Love has no boundaries

The poem was written by putting myself in the shoes of a former poster who is long gone – he wrote long tirades about Scripture – he had a good following – but some looked upon his posts as preaching – and – did not appreciate his gift – sad I know – so…
I wrote this poem to encourage him – but he up and left anyway – and took his admirers with him !!!
Funny thing, tho – some people still think the ‘I’ is me – because somehow I do not fit here, there, and/or anywhere for some reason…
