Grace Community Church has been our church for over 10 years — even as we live in the northern woods of Minnesota.
When we downsized 10 years ago we seriously thought about moving into the depraved enclave of Los Angeles just to be able to attend church — in person — with our brothers and sisters. But everything about that was daunting, and we eventually relocated only 30 miles away.
Right now we are planning on driving to L.A. to attend Pastor MacArthur’s funeral. Don’t know when it is yet, and don’t know if we will have enough time to get there or not, but right now we are making plans to be there.
And will stay with Grace, even though many in “the world” are saying the church will fail now that John is gone.
The church will never fail, no matter the building or leaders within. Jesus promised it would be so.
Safe travels Raven. Avoid driving anywhere near downtown LA. Protests are frequent, and you could get stuck on a closed freeway.

The best way to make Black Propaganda stick is in the presence of a mystery and vacuum and hate or dislike. Like in the case of Epstein. And the hate is to Israel and/or Jews.
So now Tucker is spreading that Israel and the “Mossad is behind Epstein”. Of course there is zero evidence, but he is saying it with certainty and now we have others who pass it on.
For example Magen Kelly. Even Bannon praised the Tucker and Kelly speech as “historic”.
And I am hearing from one of my sources that also Marjorie Tayler Greene is into it.
And then a half of the crowd in the Conservative convention raised a hand to say that they believe it. So this is beyond the feather story. We are talking about tens of millions exposed to the Black Propaganda. Again, there is zero evidence for it, it’s speculation and very unlikely.
Now about antisemitism and anti israel. Anti Israel is not antisemitism. There can be valid reasons for objections and dislikes. But unlike most forms of hate and bigotry, antisemitism historically relates to annihilation and extermination of Jews. It’s not like hate of blacks or hate of Muslims or gays. It is with the intent to exterminate. In order to do so there has to be Black Propaganda to make the Jews look evil enough to deserve to die, to deny them a state and the means for self defense and survival in that state.
Now in modern days those who used to say “Jews” may feel endangered to say it so bluntly so they may say “Zionists” or “Israel”. But an experienced ear can identify the same good old lines of hundreds and thousands of years. They may be sure that they are “not antisemites but only have legitimate objections to Israel” and attack anyone who would dare to say that they are antisemites. And again I am not saying that that an objection to Israeli policy or behaviors is antisemitism.
But look at the intent. Not the “logic of the claim”. The lines are very similar for generations.
It’s easy to identify them. Look at the obsession and the disproportionate accusation with double standards. Israel may have killed 50,000 of which maybe a half are terrorists and the neighbor killed over a half a million civilians in Syria and you don’t hear a word about it.
They will be obsessed with Israel. It’s the intent. Remember what I said about extermination?
Let’s take an example. There are about 157 Christian majority nations in the world.
57 Muslim majority nations. One Jewish majority nation. And there are 48 American States of 50, larger than Israel. You need to zoom a map to even see Israel.
So there are solid evidences that Iran is having about 880Lb of enriched uranium at the level about 17 times higher than needed for a peaceful energy project. This is reported by the International Energy Agency. The Supreme Leader of Iran almost daily posts that “Israel is a cancer and the date that they will exterminate it is near”. Israel prefers to save itself from extermination. Now who jumps front and center and leads the campaign against it with all the “Influencers”? – Tucker.
He denies Iran’s intentions which are stated endlessly publicly. He denies the facts of what they have as if he knows. He ignores the regular “Death to America” chants. He is trying hard to enable them to do what they intend to do. To destroy Israel. At some point even Trump called him “Kooky”.
No worry. I will get to AIPAC too. But I am giving some context. I want you to look at the intention. He pretends that it’s an anti war intention but is it?
I will never forget. While we are in the midst of an existential war on seven fronts. We have to regularly go to shelters with sirens. We have sons of friends dying, injured and kidnapped.
The Liberal Progressive mob is on Hamas’ side from day one of 10/7. The media is one sided with Hamas propaganda and Tucker decided that it is time to make an Interview with an antisemite Priest from Betlehem who falsely put forward the idea that “Israel is into killing Christians”.
A known antisemite “Priest” (from Betlehem) who celebrated the 10/7 massacre and said that he was “shocked by the strength of the Palestinian…” (in relation to 10/7). A man who is well known for his propoganda against Israel. Who is a supporter of BDS (the organization who intends to boycott Israel to destroy it). A man who denies the connection of Jews to Israel. A known anti Israel propagandist who has been using lies again and again. A man who barely has any congregation.
In Betlehem under Muslim control the Christian population declined from some 80% Christian to 12-15%. Remember the definition? The intention to get rid of the Jews or the Jewish state which means in the Middle East extermination. Everyone in Israel knows what will happened if the Palestinians had the power to overcome Israel.

I took Tucker as the example and I can go on and on. But he is a good example because he now inflamed others with his hate. The feathers are out. It appears that he is getting Magen Kelly, Bannon, Massie, Marjorie Tayler Green and others into his vile campaign.
So the AIPAC is a force for the US/Israel alliance. I don’t demy that it has some power.
And it may or should or shouldn’t be registered as a foreign lobby group or not.
It says that it is not receiving money from any foreign nation nor directions therefore it is not a “foreign lobby group”. It advocates US friendship to Israel. Just like the Christians United for Israel group is doing so. I gave you a whole long post that explains how US policy has not been under Israel wishes on numerous issues in history. Some existential issues too.
So the claim of “AIPAC is controlling the US” is straight out of the old age “Jews control my nation and responsible for all the bad things that happened here.” This was the key line of Hitler before his rise. So who is leading the charge on AIPAC? You guessed right. Tucker.
Is it really for America or just another effort to slander and diminish Israel? The one and only Jewish state? Is anyone opposing AIPAC is antisemite? No.
But I am pretty sure that antisemite Tucker is promoting the age old “it’s the Jews or Zionists” line. Others may bought into it. It because now this is mainstream in MAGA, the hate to AIPAC and the line of accusations. Each with his own intention. Some antisemites some anti Israel and some fooled into it by the persuasion of Tucker and his friends Massie and MTG. .
And by the way. If legally they should be a foreign body it’s fine. They can still do their job.
I am not a lawyer. But I am sure that they are not doing something illegal. If a Senator gets elected and they want to send him on a trip to Israel to improve the good relations and understanding, I don’t see a problem. We are not talking about an enemy of the US like the Qatar lobby that it’s intent is the replacement of democracy with Islamic Shariah Law
If there is a problem with lobbies then legislate against all lobbies. Honestly I don’t see the reason why there should be any. But don’t do it with the intent to deny Israel survival. It’s the intent that matters.
The whole thing about “Jews are not loyal to their homelands” is an ages old antisemite line.
One can be a loyal American citizen and love Israel and support it for any reason. Religious, political or others.
Massie (the video that you shared) who is so “worried about dual citizens from Israel” and labels Israel as an adversary rather than a friend. I told you that only about 60,000 are living in the US with dual Israeli American citizenship. It is about 0.02 % of the US population.
My sister in law and her husbands were under this category. She is a huge Trump supporter. They owned a business of electrical and later computer programs and employed locals. When her husband applied to a citizenship he was told that “they wish many more were like him, a business owner and employer of others”. The man is more loyal to the US than Israel but I don’t see a contradiction. The idea that there are dual citizens in Congress is false.
There aren’t any Dual Israeli American citizens in Congress. Again you wonder why is the attention and disproportionate concern to it even exists? Historically the “dual loyalty accusation” is a known antisemite line. This is was a key accusation of Hitler.

If there was a problem then sure. Legislate a rule that it’s illegal. Fine. An Israeli passport gives no advantage at all aside for some feeling of imagined safety margin in case that the US is becoming unlivable for Jews. But even that is false as Israel is always willing to accept them back with or without an Israeli Passport.
But what you showed me with Massie was just an animosity to Israel with suspicion of antisemitism. If you roll the lines back it goes to Candace. She says “that JFK was assassinated due to his intent to change the status of AIPAC”. Some say that he also wanted to shut off the FEDs. Go figure. She said that “if she is assasinated one should know it is Israel”. She says that “the Jews are not really Jews genetically”. ‘AIPAC and Israel are running the US”. The whole lines of “US fights wars because of Israel”. “The Zionists are all NEOCONS war mongers”. Really?
You think that we enjoy wars? You know how it feels to see your father go to war when you’re a child? Or how a father feels when he goes to war and leaves a family behind? You realize that Israelis go to war even after their few years of mandatory duty? We are “warmongers”?
Israelis never ever wanted anyone to fight our wars for us. We learned the hard way to count only on ourselves in existential matters.
This is what Tucker floated with MTG in interviewing her. Do you know what was the happiest day in Israel’s history? I can tell you from direct observation. The day that Israel signed a peace treaty with Egypt. “Zionists cried from excitement everywhere”. There were spontaneous dancing in the streets. Are we really the reason for why the US went to any war?
All this line of “The US fighting in the Middle East for Israel” is 100% Black Propoganda.

The mother of my wife was in Aushwitz and accidentally was exposed to the gas chambers, a very strong woman. Went into a shock. Couldn’t talk for days. This makes it personal for me. Her parents, her grandparents, uncles and aunts, my father’s parents, sister, grandparents, uncles aunts, everyone. At the age of 17 or 18 it was the last that my father saw anyone from his expanded family and he looked for them.
I am not asking for sympathy. We moved on. All of us. My mom who was in Aushwitz not so much. She suffered mental health problems all her life.
But we moved on. We didn’t look backwards. We say “never again” as a survival policy not as a victimhood and a cry for mercy of sympathy.
We are peaceful people. We would love to be able to share the land and live in peace.
Most of us. But the other side has proven endless times another intention than co-existence.

One can tear out one page, one verse, of the Bible and they can proclaim whatever they want. But how does that honor the Instructor? The Bible is written as a road map – and if you pull only one page – only one verse – you are missing the before and after directions – what does the rest of the story tell?
A Christian believes that The Son Is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. The Word of God provides yield, growth, nurtures, enriches, matures, lends wisdom – it even speaks that man cannot survive on bread alone. It speaks that we must grow in understanding and Spiritual wisdom and that we cannot remain babies – Ephesians 4 speaks on that.
Additionally, it is through the study of The Word that we are called to test the spirits and that gives us discernment through The Holy Spirit to recognize a fraud. A fraud is known by his fruits, or lack thereof.
What does education yield? Growth, insight, wisdom – or does it yield laziness, insanity, sickness of mind and body, and ultimately death? Can we agree that education can travel down either road? There are only two ways – Eternal life or eternal death. That’s it. You can take nothing with you.
Be watchful of those who separate one from the Word of God or bemoan the teachings of Christ. What are they leading you to?
Don’t believe me. I am not the Creator. But seek first God’s wisdom through His Word. Start easy with the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. A retelling from four different perspectives of what they witnessed in their time. Beware of false teachers and false prophets. The devil is a lion seeking to devour and destroy and he’s hard at it right now, especially so… because he knows his time is short.
There was a snapshot of time in my life where I was fleeing a wrong decision. I hungered to hear from God. Started at the beginning of the New Testament in the book of Matthew and then – still hungry – I simultaneously began in the book of Genesis. Reading a little of each – each day – when suddenly correlations began to occur. The prophetic foretelling of the stories in the Old Testament began to come to fruition in the New Testament. One could overlap the historical record to see how matters prayed for and over – came to be. I had a study Bible, so could read the footnotes for more detail – and even more detail could be acquired through research. Also important was that not all understanding comes immediately. You can read one passage today and it land not on your heart and mind – but read the same passage in two years – and it can hit like a ton of bricks during an especially integral time in your faith journey.
It is never too late. God loves you. He Sent His Son to die for us. Why did He do that? Ask Him. Take a little journal and write notes on what you study – ask Him the big questions – and give it some time. Like a seed planted, understanding and wisdom takes time to grow and yield. Your questions and your thoughts will yield.
Is this “churched”? I don’t know. What I know of – is the church is a body of people – not a building. There can be false teachers and preachers and scribes – but how would you know that, unless you studied what the true Word of God said so you could recognize the imposters? The devil is a liar, a whisperer, a cheat. Learn carefully to recognize it. he is crafty and he doesn’t want you to learn. he tries to take away your desire and ability to learn. he tells you it’s divisive -when he himself is divisive. he tells you “no one rules over you but yourself” when we know that Someone crafted our bodies in such a way to make us just so. Someone engineered the Sun to rise each morning to greet us. Interesting that it’s called the “Sun” – maybe God saw His Beloved Son in its design?
The Son Gives Life. Our Creator gives breathe. He Gives Life and He Takes it away.

It may be because my speech had been censored in a variety of ways during the Obama & Biden reign of terror and error, that I am so attracted to the work of Mikhail Bulgakov. Thus far, I have read The Heart of the Dog and his epic classic, The Master and Margarita, described in this enthusiastic bookclub video.

“God knows all things. (1-6) He is every where present. (7-16) The psalmist’s hatred to sin, and desire to be led aright.” (17-24)
(17-24)” God’s counsels concerning us and our welfare are deep, such as cannot be known. We cannot think how many mercies we have received from him. It would help to keep us in the fear of the Lord all the day long, if, when we wake in the morning, our first thoughts were of him: and how shall we admire and bless our God for his precious salvation, when we awake in the world of glory! Surely we ought not to use our members and senses, which are so curiously fashioned, as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

I am a fatalist. I do believe we have free will, but only to a point.
I believe we each are doing what we are supposed to do, each learning our own lessons. .
I believe we CANNOT avoid doing what we are supposed to do.
I know, that is not a popular view.
Some ‘failures’ cause us to trip and fall (sin), and it is up to us to pick ourselves up, brush ourselves off, and start all over again.
We may fail again. And again.
On the other hand, we may arise bruised, look around, and find ourselves on a totally new and unexpected path.
We may find some new (and usually unrecognized) Angels hovering near to assist.
Personally, I ask God for nothing. I try to be thankful for the many gifts freely given and be humbly grateful.
My belief: since God created us (wasn’t it you who posted that he knows us in the womb?) he knows everything about each of us – no secrets, no mysteries.
The above has nothing to do with whether or not I ‘believe in God. I do believe there is a Creator (for want of a better word). Every rose, every blade of grass, even my beloved Pine trees …

I am not a recovering drug or alcohol abuser.
I consider myself a tractor. Tractors DO things – move earth, pull trees up, till, plow and help reap.
More than once in my life I have run into a swamp (and that includes 2 yrs in the DC swamp).
I learned the hard way that there are things that need changing, but it is not given to me to affect or effect the outcome.
Glub Glub Glub sputtered my motor as I sank into the mire I could not climb out of.
Happy – no. Surrender – not an option.
Thankful for assistance – I somehow got pulled back to firm ground.
Now the tractor is old(er). rusty too. Needs a tune up – maybe even a few new parts.
Since He Who Is Running Things is still making me get up each morning I continue doing the best I can with what I’ve got.
Truth is – I don’t know how to do it any differently.

Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,

Evening Prayer For Future Guidance
Heavenly Father, as I lie down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would guard my sleeping and protect my mind from wandering thoughts and unnecessary planning. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.
Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. Help me to trust You in all things and rely on You to lead me along the straight path and guide me in the direction that You would have me to go.
Give me patience to wait for Your perfect timing, and may I not trust in my own abilities and scheming, but rather rest in Your love and trust my future into Your hands.
And so now Lord, I commit this night to you, asking that I would rest soundly and wake refreshed and strong to do Your bidding. This I ask in Jesus’ precious name,

Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.
My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.
Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord
I pray that You would watch over me as I rest tonight, and that You would give me a restful nights sleep so that I may wake up in the morning refreshed in body and spirit and ready to do Your will. In the morning I’ll help Sherry snap fresh green beans and then tomorrow, after it’s cooked all day, for dinner we’ll be having green beans, ham, and potatoes. One of the greatest one bowl meals ever devised.

My mom used to make that one
She cooked a bunch of recipes passed down by her mother, most were Pennsylvania Dutch in origin
Mom grew up in Harrisburg PA, so not far from Lancaster and Pennsylvania Deutsch country
The other notable one was pork-and-sauerkraut-and-dumplings
A roast pork loin browned in a large pot, add sauerkraut and steam awhile and then finish by spreading Bisquick dough all over the top, put a lid on it, then back on the heat to steam the Bisquick dumplings until they rose.
Served with mashed potatoes to make a little volcano and fill with the sauerkraut broth, and all went well with liberal shakes of black pepper

Love green beans and potatoes especially Roma green beans.
SIL planted rattlesnake green beans this year which are a string bean and I usually steer away from those but they were good last evening.
Try green beans mixed with black eyed peas with a dash of garlic and a tiny bit of hot pepper.
Simple can sometimes be the very best, like navy beans and ham slow cooked for hours.
Fresh out of the garden is always tastier and a reward for getting er done.
Now the DHS is making fun of the NYT! I LOVE it!
