He was a registered sex offender with monitored travel for a decade after his incarceration. There might have been blackmail, etc., based on stuff that happened more than 20 years ago. And his 2019 death (six years ago) was highly suspicious. But none of this old news is one millionth as important as Covid-related lies and coverups. How readily people forget that “email” is not secure. Although it seems very strange to me (since there are public means to effectively secure it), the veracity of any “SMTP/POP” email message cannot be assured. You don’t actually know where it came from, or who wrote it, or if it has been altered. (Versus: the “lock” on the address bar of this, secured, “httpS” web-site: you KNOW you are talking to “theconservativetreehouse.com” and not a “man in the middle.”)
Someone steals “nothing more than a password,” and they can speak for you. OR, they can simply fake(!) the “sender” line! There is no(!) security at all. No provenance whatsoever.
Any assertions based on “emails” mean: zero, zippo, nada, nothing.
As I said, the technology to strongly secure email is readily available. Google Mail briefly implemented it – then withdrew it without comment. This technology can either encrypt the email, or “digitally sign” it to prevent forgery. But, it is not used. And I don’t know why.
(If you use an email program versus a web-mail site, you can secure your email with plug-ins. But only if your recipient does the same.)
(P.S.: The “Microsoft Exchange” email system that you might use at work can be secured. But not if a message from inside that system is then tendered outside to the general public.)

FWIW, here’s my assessment as someone who smelled a rat from the second the Epstein matter was foist back into the public eye…
Epstein had been mostly flying under the radar and was protected for years.
Then, in 2019, during the height of the “Get Trump” fervor by the totally corrupt SDNY (who Bill Barr did nothing of substance to rein in) they raided Epstein’s NYC lair in a desperate attempt to find something implicating the President because they fell for their own bullshit narratives about the guy.
Had there been any such actual evidence, the whole world would have known, Trump would have lost most of his support and the theft of the 2020 election wouldn’t have been necessary.
Epstein & Maxwell have since been silenced, whatever evidence there is (and I’m sure there’s tons of it implicating many) is now stale (statute of limitations) and would have been tough to prosecute anyway as most of it occurred outside of our jurisdiction – which is why the slime-ball conducted his “business” on his private island in the first place.
Releasing photos, lists or logs at this point without being associated with an actual prosecution would be unethical and open the administration up to all sorts of civil actions as it would wrongly imply these people were involved in crimes that can never be proven.
Did a lot of elite perverts who ought to be spending the rest of their lives in prison walk away from this unscathed – Yes, but it’s not this administration’s fault.
Did Bondi unprofessionally let herself get suckered into the hype of the “Release the Epstein List!” crowd – Yes.
Did she handle the PR horribly? – Yes.
Did Bondi et. al. ultimately make the right call from a legal / ethical standpoint? – Yes.
