(VIA FOX NEWS) – Former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey are under criminal investigation for potential wrongdoing related to the Trump–Russia probe, including allegedly making false statements to Congress, Justice Department sources told Fox News Digital.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred evidence of wrongdoing by Brennan to FBI Director Kash Patel for potential prosecution, DOJ sources told Fox News Digital.
The sources said that the referral was received and told Fox News Digital that a criminal investigation into Brennan was opened and is underway. DOJ sources declined to provide further details. It is unclear, at this point, if the investigation spans beyond his alleged false statements to Congress.
As for Comey, DOJ sources told Fox News Digital that an investigation into the former director is underway, but could not share details of what specifically is being probed.

What Comey and Brennan and Clapper did SHOULD be a story a thousand times bigger than Epstein. It’s the biggest political scandal in American history. By a long shot.

Last week the various internet sites were brimming full with stories about the Obama team of Comey, Brennan and others of having created the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax and the same sites wailing over no charges being filed with cries of fear and worry and anger that the Statute of Limitations was just days away.
Today we learn charges are being looked into for filing against the conspirators.
My question is, given the preceding week stories being planted to now have this week’s stories looking at charges being filed, will this week’s wailing and gnashing of teeth about the Epstein stuff be followed by next week a story of ‘charges are being looked into’ and then while that story gets headlines the next new big story to keep everyone hopped up with dread, anger, fear begin to be planted?
Because that seems to be how things are working.
Seed a possible crime story in the news, the next week seed the story of possible charges for said possible crime while simultaneously begin planting seeds for the next crime story in the news, and on and on and people wonder why everyone is on edge ready to jump on their friends/family/neighbors for wrong thought, almost to pre-civil war levels of anger.

Legally, a Conspiracy exists when two (2) or more persons join together and form an agreement to violate the law and then act on that agreement. An important feature of the Conspiracy statute is that it enables the investigator to get beyond the first layer of visible members to find and prosecute the “brains” behind a criminal scheme or organization.
Specific federal anti-conspiracy statutes are found throughout federal law. Conspiracy statute found at Title 18 USC § 371.
There are five elements for the crime of Conspiracy. Those elements are:
1. You must have 2 or more persons who
2. Intentionally
3. make an agreement
4. to violate federal law or defraud the United states, and then
5. Commit some overt act in furtherance of the agreement.
Based on these elements, we know that the crime of Conspiracy is a specific-intent crime. In other words, the government must prove that two (2) or more persons intentionally entered into an agreement to commit some criminal offense.
It would be really, really weird to see the RICO statute applied TO the top person at the Department of Justice – Pam Bondi – and FBI Director Kash Patel and Dan Bongino, too – how exactly would we (as a nation) go about this?
