My introduction to classical guitar music happened when I was a HS senior. I had the best introduction imaginable when the Romeros came to my Texas seacoast town. As I recall, they were traveling in a station wagon. Their concert was nothing short of magical. I didn’t come from a musical family so hearing guys almost as young as me play that well really impressed me. I have to say . . . I continue to enjoy posting these guitar videos. As long as this continues to be fun, I’ll keep posting videos of these wonderful virtuoso musicians.

I also started learning guitar at an early age and practiced many genres including country/western, rock, blues, and gospel.
I have created a number of songs, but have published only one. I used Acoustica software to record and mix it, playing bothe rhythm and lead with canned drums and violin that I modified. I took the accompanying photo of a beautiful sunrise from then end of our driveway.

Yesterday a couple of us were discussing the music side of Hollyweird, Laurel Canyon, etc…
Today, in the spirit of national holiday, I would like to salute admiration for Steve Gaines, American guitarist and musician extraordinaire.
Here is another bio of Steve Gaines by River Docs:
Every year I raise some meat birds, cornish cross chickens. The meat is usually very lean, not this years batch. This year for the last 4 weeks of growth I added some mixed grain to the normal feed, which I get from our local feed store. The chickens were more health, less died before butcher day and the were active free ranging birds.
When I process the birds some goes into the freezer whole and some have the breast meat, legs, thighs and wings cutoff. I then take the carcasses and season them, roast them in the oven and then make stock with it. The stock pot has been in the garage refrigerator for the past week, I took it out to can up the stock and make some soup with what doesn’t get canned. There was a thick layer of fat floating on top, I’m rendering down that fat right now.
Because of how much fat this batch of free range, active birds acquired this year, I’m going to be cutting grains out of my diet. Meat, fish, fruit, vegetables and forage only.
