Many, many years ago I attended a broadcast school in Manhattan.
One of our teachers was a producer for the Barry Farber radio talk show.
This was when reel-to-reel was still used, and editing tape meant a sharp razor blade and a sensitive ear.
He showed us how you could turn a positive answer into a negative in the editing room – not to encourage us to do it, but to show how the process works.
I know that later, when I ‘edited for time’ (to cut down on long sound bites) I would make sure I did NOT dilute or distort the speaker’s words – by allowing full (or nearly full) sentence answers, not a 3-5 sec actuality – which (if I may be punny) is in actuality, no answer at all.
A good example is the Charlottesville “fine people” quote/sound bite the msm has repeatedly promoted.
EVERYONE there who heard the President speak, knew instinctively – and immediately – Exactly what he was saying.
That they PURPOSELY edited his comments to distort and twist his words shows their malevolent intent.

Whether it is coordinated or not, the impact is the same as the media companies are functioning as de facto arms of political campaigns.
I hope Trump calls for the Federal Election Commission to formally address this loophole. It is time to update and ENFORCE the laws governing in-kind contributions to reflect modern realities. The final amount might not seem like much, but we have to keep in mind that Paramount has been bleeding money for years. They reported losses of $5.4 billion in Q2 of 2024.
