This is madness. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sends a twitter message as if he’s ordering coffee from the guy down the street, telling NATO members not to forget to send him his $40 billion in “budgetary support.”

Budgetary support means we pay for the operational cost of Ukraine government, including govt payrolls, pensions, healthcare services, welfare and social services for the people in Ukraine.
The crazy thing is, unless Trump stops it, our congress will give it to him. And even if Trump tries to stop it, congress will demand the payment as part of their appropriations process.
Maybe it’s just me, but the in-your-face hubris of it is, well, just off-the-charts. As if we don’t have important priorities here at home that could better use these taxpayer funds.

Now, the GOP want’s to increase that cost though cuts to Medicare Advantage and drug coverage. How much will that save? $40 Billion? Remember, the overall budget is EIGHT THOUSAND $BILLION, including the $2T of unpaid debut being added to the nation’s total.

I think we’ve given enough, and if Ukraine cannot manage its expenses, there’s nothing we can or should do about it. It’s time for Ukraine to be on her own.
Also re: NATO, there is a good case to be made for a complete overhauling of NATO and what it stands for. Currently it is a Soros Open Society Foundation dedicated to what Soros thinks a country should be, which includes open borders, mass immigration, etc. Unless a country abides by Soros’ idea of an Open Society, NATO then institutes military action.
Ask President Putin how that’s working out.
We’re next, if we don’t fix NATO. Either it functions as a defense alliance ONLY, with no object of deciding what a country should or shouldn’t be and no offensive military action, or it’s a sham military industrial complex project for perpetual war and the end of western civilization.
The CCP wants to see the end of NATO, which implies the western defensive order is collapsing. So instead of ending NATO, we should be opting for fixing it. If the countries currently in NATO don’t want to change and want to have open borders, that’s fine, but I think the whole NATO project needs to be re-examined and any part of it that came from the mind of George Soros needs to be ditched.
This explains why so many countries decided to enter NATO, because they were likely afraid that military action would be taken against them if they didn’t comply with NATO standards and enter NATO.
It is interesting that our neither our government nor NATO never told us they were changing NATO’s whole purpose about 30 years ago. If it had to be kept secret from Americans it means that those involved in shaping the program knew there would be a great deal of resistance if not outright rejection of the plan.
Whenever members of our government act in secret, or make laws that are kept secret, or change a major defensive alliance to something not even close to a defensive alliance in secret, we know it’s because they knew they were doing something they would get a lot of pushback and rejection for doing.
