The DOJ has now sent a demand letter to Colorado’s secretary of state @JenaGriswold to turn over ALL RECORDS related to the 2024 election and to preserve all 2020 election records that remain. This has never happened before.

This is what is going on in Colorado right now. Tax increase after tax increase, gun law after gun law, fee after fee. It costs $10 dollars to get into a State Park per day. The restictions after you get in there are enormous. The EPA, State and or Federal is cutting water use to ranchers and farmers while the State allows massive subdivisions all along every road in the state. Any litttle bit of ground is going to have a couple of houses packed so close together you can see what your neighbors are eating for dinner.

This is interesting. Undoubtedly Tulsi Gabbard received a report saying just this, that Iran was not building a nuclear weapon, so her remarks saying the IC assessed this were true. It begs the question, does Israel share the intelligence it has with our intelligence community? Given that Israeli intelligence regarding Iran is of high quality, obtained from human sources in Iran privy to knowledge of what Iran is actually doing, does it share that with our IC, and should we harumph if it does not, considering Israel is an ally?
Perhaps Israel believes our intelligence community should not be privy to all their information for some reason? For example, perhaps they believe our IC has a political agenda, and perhaps they do not wish for their intelligence to end up as a headline in the Washington Post, if they were to share it with us at the IC level? I don’t know, but it’s a possibility.
So, President Trump has said he doesn’t care what Tulsi Gabbard said 90 days ago. Does he have better intelligence regards Iran than our own intelligence community? Undoubtably. Does it make Tulsi Gabbard a bad person, because she made a true statement about what her people were telling her 90 days ago, which is obviously not now operative? Not true. If anything, it suggests our IC could use some reforms, and this makes a case for that.

The U.S. Department of Justice is demanding an unprecedented amount of election data from at least one state, according to documents obtained by NPR, as the DOJ transformed by the Trump administration reviews cases targeting the president’s political allies and caters to his desire to exert more power over state voting processes.
On May 12, the Justice Department asked Colorado’s secretary of state to turn over “all records” relating to 2024 federal elections, as well as preserve any records that remain from the 2020 election — a sprawling request several voting experts and officials told NPR was highly unusual and concerning, given President Trump’s false claims about elections.
“What they’re going to do with all this data, I don’t know,” said Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold, a Democrat. “But I’m sure they will use it to push their ridiculous disinformation and lies to the American public.”
The request could be interpreted to include voter registration materials, ballots and voting equipment, much of which is retained by counties, not the secretary of state. But if Colorado were to produce all records from the 2024 general and primary elections, they “would fill Mile High Stadium,” said David Becker, a former Justice Department attorney who worked in the Voting Section during the administrations of Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
“It would be an enormous amount of information, and it’s very unlikely the DOJ would even know what to do with all of that,” said Becker, who now runs the nonpartisan Center for Election Innovation & Research (CEIR). “This appears more like a fishing expedition than it does some kind of targeted investigation.”

And just out of interest, Mr. Becker, if the volume is that ‘enormous’, just where is Colorado securely storing all of this information and materials now?

Somebody is wrong. If the Iranians are in fact on the brink of having operational nuclear weapons, then essentially everything DCI Gabbard said in March was wrong, and the entire American Intelligence Community missed the mark widely on Iran’s nuclear weapons work. If Gabbard is right, then the Israelis are either lost in a labyrinth of lies or they are deliberately misleading us and the world.
Unfortunately, I am betting the Israelis have it right, and it is our intelligence that is lacking.
The latest information in the press suggests that Iran recently conducted successful experiments that left it at most weeks away from being able to produce functioning nuclear weapons. When this information was presented to Israeli political leaders, they were also informed that things had now reached the stage where it would be impossible to track future developments precisely. In short, if Israel did not act, it might well find that it was too late, and Iran had already gone nuclear.
According to the intelligence provided to Netanyahu and his cabinet, Iran’s nuclear weapons efforts went into overdrive in late 2023. Those efforts were divided among separate secure teams. This work proceeded in parallel to uranium enrichment efforts with the goal of having a device ready when sufficient HEU [highly enriched uranium, i.e. bomb grade – W] had been produced.
This approach mirrors that seen in all other nuclear weapons programs. No one waits until they have the HEU in hand to begin building the bomb into which the HEU will be placed. When China went nuclear, it took them a total of 72 hours from the time the HEU was available in its final form until they had an assembled device. According to an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report at the end of May, Iran’s stockpile of uranium, if enriched further, was enough to build nine nuclear weapons.
This critical intelligence led Israel to conclude that time had run out. They had to act, and they had to destroy not only nuclear sites but also attempt to eliminate the body of knowledge Iran had amassed after years of research and testing. A senior Israeli military official said Saturday that “all the scientists eliminated in the opening strikes had, over the years, been involved in developing the nuclear detonation device.”

Nixon says he just wanted to strengthen the CIA by getting rid of some of the deadwood, 1/3 of the CIA manning and they KNEW he planned that, but instead “Unfortuately, it (the CIA) was castrated in the post-Watergate era.”

I read the comments as the thoughts of others are interesting. Here is mine. Iran is a concern but
is it the US greatest concern? I don’t think it isn’t and by a wide margin far from it. We have within our
own society a greater threat to a forever loss of our freedoms. Our major cities are blue. The populations
outside these large metros are becoming smaller and less represented. We had a hard core Marxist President
for two terms recently who’s childhood mentor was a Registered Communist. We escaped by a hair Hillary. Next we
we get a continuation of the Marxist Obama’s third term. Who gets 47% of the vote in the next election? Another
Communist raised by a mother who was left of Mao! Congress is full of DSA – Democratic Socialist of America a
group that has a deep connection to the Communist Party of America. I know for many this isn’t a concern. The fact that
the young are being educated by a public education system that pushes Socialism and Victimhood also isn’t a problem.
So Iran in my opinion isn’t the US greatest threat. America’s greatest threat is us. We are silent. At least in other hell holes there
is an acknowledgement of the desire to be free.
