Israel Update:
-There are most of the indicators of an imminent attack on the Iranian facilities.
I reported that Trump said yesterday that “maybe he was too optimistic about their willingness”. The US is evacuating some personnel from the Iraqi embassy and some from Bahrain and Kuwait. US Sec of Defense said that there is Intel that Iran is practically pushing forward to a nuclear weapon.
British ships were told to get away from the area of Iran.
US Naval Forces in Bahrain were put on high alert and families were told to possibly prepare for evacuation. Trump Tweeted on his network a video and words about the might and bravery of the US Military and suggested something in days.
Iran is defiant and threatening to attack US bases in the Middle East.
Also their TV is showing missile attacks, filmed in the last round against Israel.
Cyber attacks in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait . Not too series – Iran is suspected.
Iran on high alert and blocking GPS in the area.
Trump was asked about it all and he said “wait and see”.
This is either the real deal or a poker game to make them more flexible.
An Iranian Official: “Israel is bluffing on behalf of the US. They want an agreement and they want us to fold on the demands. We won’t.
Note: It’s hard to tell. I didn’t see US Carriers coming to the area as I would expect if it was the real thing. But no one can tell. There is also a possibility of a first phase strikes, like on their defenses and see if they fold.
Just before I posted the update I noticed that CBS reports that “Israel completed its preparations for an attack on Iran”.
We shall see.
-Hamas killed 5 aid workers (Gazans, not Americans) wounded some and possibly kidnapped too. This is a part of their survival war as they lose grip of the aid and population.
Recently they say that they killed also 12 of the new force that Israel helped to establish against Hamas and to secure the aid. It is probably all the same organization that was attacked. If true, then they are already up to about 20 of this organization who were executed. They have a history of executing whoever opposes them.
-A vote in Israeli parliament and the government didn’t fall. But it’s not over yet. The subject of mandatory recruitment of Ultra Orthodox Jews is still in dispute.
-A meeting led by France with UK and some Arab nations is about to take place in NY. They are pushing for a recognition of a Palestinian State. Sec Rubio issued a strong warning to better avoid any actions against Israel or else. Rubio is proved to be a friend so far.
-A Judge in NJ blocked the deportation attempt against the Arab who led the riots in Colombia University. He did not release him yet but said that it is unconstitutional.
The case will go to a hearing. I think that the guy has a Citizenship or Green card. The claim is that he withheld information at the application. For example that he worked for UNRWA.
-The IDF recovered two bodies of hostages from Khan Yunis Gaza. Intel operation to locate their bodies. Quite heart breaking. I just watched the older man in a video from 10/7.
He was alive but terrified. RIP. This now leaves 53 more hostages. 20 are assumed alive.
202 hostages were brought back so far. Six in the last month. One was the Israeli American and the others are bodies that the IDF recovered.
-Argentinian President said that he will move his embassy to Jerusalem on 2026.
-Iran say that they successfully tested a 2 tone missile.
-Commander of the Revolutionary Guard of Iran said that “a war with the US is a continuation of the holy defense”. He stressed that “hostility to the US is a matter of belief and goes together with the struggle against the global arrogance”.
-123 killed in Gaza last 24 hours and some 474 injured. According to them.
-Hamas is now lying daily and blaming the IDF for killing civilians who are at the distribution centers. They talk about over 20 killed daily. Complete fabrication that get broadcasted by Al Jazeera and taken by Western Fake news outlets. There were some incidents that Gazans approached IDF soldiers too much and they had to shoot in the air. Maybe one it was not the air and killed one. But everything else is invented. We are trying hard to make the aid centers work. The American Company wants to continue. They gave out a few millions meals in the last few days. The Gazans are coming for it despite orders from the Hamas not to come.
I am concerned for the safety of the American team. Hamas is targeting anything to do with the operation of this distribution. The IDF is securing it but there are many people and motion.
-I am getting more and more footage of Palestinians or people with Palestinian headscarfs who lead riots against Trump’s immigration policy in NY, LA, etc… Symbols of evil, the green and red flag, the headscarf called “Palestinian Kafiyyeh” that they use to hide their faces, the green Hamas headband. It’s all in the riots. I will post one video. Some look like real terrorists. They brought trouble in many Arab nations who hosted them. Now no one wants to take them in. At least they have Europe.

Good morning Betsy. As always, you have provided me with many smiles this “cursday” morning with your photos and images. I am in desperate need of some sunshine. Am getting quite tired of my water eco-system that at one time was my yard! I know that I will probably want some of this rain in August, but am so weary of the mud!
I will be introducing the kittens to wet kitten food this weekend. They have teeth now. “Percy”, the name I’ve chosen for the runt kitten I’m keeping thanks to soaz’s suggestions, is now trying to climb out of the basket and even stands on her siblings to try to get out.
I’m still trying to figure out how to get the photos of them from my phone into the computer to put into the comments for Caturday.

Percy knows she has been chosen, and it sounds as if you’ve chosen well. I base that opinion on the experience of choosing your our beloved and very much missed Jack Russell Penny, who was the runt of her litter. Chris said to himself the first of six pups to make a fuss of him would be the one. She was so small and could barely manage it, but she saw him and struggled out of the basket to get to him. (I shouldn’t have told this story again…my cheeks are wet…).
I do hope you can eventually upload pics. My whole internet world became glorious once Chris showed me how to store and upload memes on my Kindle. Thus you have CATURDAY and CURSDAY 😁👍🏻

Well, I was all set to get ” into” Cursday when the power cut out. That means a really hot house (104 today), minimal use of the refrigerator/freezer, and……..as you well know – the dreaded loss of the well! Yikes! Fortunately, it is now back on and things are cooling off, thank goodness.
So…….I found this explanation regarding posting pictures. I think sweet Woo posted it for me (praying for her). I’ve had to also get help from my daughter because this stuff is all Greek to me. It’s a screenshot of directions. Fingers crossed that it works!

Dear soaz, I was without power Sunday evening from 10:00pm until 8:00am Monday morning. Can feel for you in that respect although we did have water. At the ranch though I had a well and that can be a real “stinker”,(you think wordman would like the way I put this in here?), when the power goes out. Especially when you have horses in the barn to water! Yikes!
Thank you for the instructions I’ll see if I can manage to accomplish the task. I am far from being “tech savvy”. May have to recruit my grandson, as computers are his specialty and how he makes his living on a daily basis.
I chose the name Percy as it just seemed to fit her and I have always liked the name.

Afternoon, dear Bet. Just got back from my favorite taqueria. I’m down 55lbs and 3 waist sizes. That said, I have to say I’m rather “beset”. We had a 6in rain here last night and a good portion we into my hallway/ I was up at 4am emptying my large supply of pots and putting down absorbent pee-pads.
Fortunately, nothing got out-of-hand. My insurance agent, who I’ve been with for many years, is giving me pointers on how to file an insurance claim for a roof repair—I’ve never filed a claim.
So sorry for the leak situation, Garrison. How terribly annoying and disruptive.
On the plus side – Wow! 55 pounds. That is an amazing achievement 👏. Make sure you keep enough lap for Tink!

I’m glad your insurance agent is helpful. Filing a claim can be so stressful! By chance have you gotten any recent hail storms? That could have wrecked your roof and caused the leaks. Insurance would definitely cover that. Had it happen several times at the big ranch years ago.

I grew up in eastern Nevada and absolutely loved the cedar and sage bush laden land there. Both cattle and horses love the white rresh tops of the sage bush. For these critters its like eating a salid dinner.

Have you noticed, Pat, how beautiful their conformation is? Breeders spend fortunes in time and money trying for such gorgeous horses. Yet in the wild they manage to outdo the best breeders.
Yes I had noticed that their conformation is beautiful. Nature knows best, as God so planned it.
Fortunately my little quarter horse stallion (he is only 14 hands three) and has the broad chest and wonderful, powerful hind quarters of the old, original quarter horse. He has 95 per cent foundation horse ancestors. The best thing is I did not have to spend fortunes to get gorgeous conformation.
I also chose foundation mares to keep the old style, strong, healthy quarter horses. Thanks again for all the wonderful videos of the horses you provide. Have a wonderful day.
I have a family photo of my dad and my “great” era relatives from about 1918 or so. The family members are in a half circle with my great uncle Sidney astride his beautiful quarter horse which he’d trained to be a roping horse. My dad is a little boy, about 10 years old, and is standing on the horse’s haunches. Sidney was my dad’s hero. He followed his footsteps and became a working cowboy.
Interestingly, my great (or great-great) aunts and uncles in the photo all have mahogany colored skin, prominent cheek bones, and course black hair. They all look like Indians to me, yet my family is not on any tribal rolls. Family folklore says after Okla. statehood (1907) we decided that we would be white people. . . Sociology refers to this as “status shifting”. This seems a little curious now but, apparently, it happened with some frequency around Okla. statehood. My baby photos, however, show this angelic little blue-eyed, blond cherub . . .
Thanks for the great story about your family “greats”. I think that being a working cowboy would have been hard work but tremendously rewarding. I always said I was born in the wrong era and should have been born earlier so I could have been a working cowgirl.
I favor my father who’s ancestry is French and Pequot Indian from the Mystic, Connecticut area. I’ve got , what I call “cats eyes” green and gold, depending on what color I wear, just like my dad’s eyes. The Navy called them hazel on my ID card. I also have my dad’s high cheekbones and in summer growing up, I got red-brown as I spent most of my time outside.
Blue eyed and blonde huh, I bet you have high cheekbones though. I’ve known many blonde and blue eyed Native Americans and they always had the high cheekbones.

Yeah, quarter horses, when I was young, were smallish, broad chested and stout horses. What I see for sale as registered quarter horses today look nothing like what I think they should be. Often 15 -16 hands!

I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
