I’m a firm believer in freedom of expression, but that doesn’t mean that expression should be free of consequences. A Mexican band, “Los Alegres del Barranco,” portrayed images glorifying drug kingpin “El Mencho” — head of the grotesquely violent CJNG cartel — at a recent concert in Mexico.
I’m pleased to announce that the State Department has revoked the band members’ work and tourism visas. In the Trump Administration, we take seriously our responsibility over foreigners’ access to our country.
The last thing we need is a welcome mat for people who extol criminals and terrorists.

The federal agent tells the second staffer that she is “harboring rioters in the office” and denies her request to see a warrant, saying as he walks by her that he doesn’t need one.
Nadler, in a statement, said no arrests were made “and the situation was quickly deescalated,” but he added, “I am alarmed by the aggressive and heavy-handed tactics DHS is employing in New York City and across the country.”
“Upon arrival, officers were granted entry and encountered four individuals. Officers identified themselves and explained their intent to conduct a security check, however, one individual became verbally confrontational and physically blocked access to the office,” the statement continued.

On December 1, 2020, the Maryland ban on AR-15s was challenged. The plaintiffs lost in the District Court and before the Fourth Circuit. In August 2024, a cert petition was filed in Snope v. Brown. The petition sat in purgatory for nearly a year with fourteen relists.
Today, the Supreme Court finally put the petition out of its misery and denied cert.

The U.S. has proposed a nuclear deal with Iran that allows for limited low-level uranium enrichment on Iranian soil, contrary to public declarations by top officials.
According to the proposal, the nuclear deal will focus on creating a regional enrichment consortium that meets several conditions:
Iran won’t be allowed to develop domestic enrichment capabilities beyond those necessary for civilian purposes.

But the worst part—and what almost no one knows—is that while Ryan was stalling, one group knew the truth all along: the media. Fusion GPS had paraded Christopher Steele around to major outlets in September 2016 on Clinton’s behalf. Reporters at places like the Washington Post were personally briefed by Steele. And yet, for more than a year, they all kept quiet while Nunes and Kash tried to chase this down. They weren’t just indifferent to the public being misled, they were active participants in the deception.

My daughter, who is 5 feet 7 inches, fought her way onto a Div. 3 school that was headed for excellence in the early days of the new century in volleyball. Walked on and by her senior year got a full ride.

For the United States and other major Western militaries, Ukraine’s use of trucks parked outside secure areas near military sites will pose uncomfortable questions. How closely do they—or can they—monitor all the truck traffic that streams past their bases? Do they know what happens in every nearby property from which an adversary could hide drone swarms and then launch them with no warning? For many years now, for instance, Chinese interests have been buying large amounts of farmland right next to important U.S. military bases. They could be growing soybeans, but they could also be staging grounds for drone swarms that would make the Ukrainian attacks look minuscule.
