Israel Update:
Gaza:
–Still daily Intel based air attacks that kill terrorists and some around them. About 100 killed per day. Rafah the most south city is very much flattened and the underground is worked on too and Khan Yunis next to it is also on the way to look the same. Yesterday there was an evacuation order to most of North Gaza and today there are a lot of bombardments in the area. As I said there is a structured plan to squeeze Hamas around into a small area in Central Gaza (where we believe many of the hostages are) and then making a deal of hostages for a safe expulsion.
There is some criticism in Israel that most of the work in Gaza is “real estate demolition”.
To some degree since Hamas booby trapped some crazy number of structures and they have it activated with cameras and remote controls, the only way the IDF can move forward without casualties is in this way. But there are very few collisions of face to face because they are strategically avoiding it and also their condition is worsening. Some in Israel say that the rate of progress is not serious. I agree. The IDF in my opinion is moving carfully and is still pushing for a deal more than anything else. So it’s not in a hurry, the “philosophy” is that every day they lose assets and lands and are more likely to cut a deal. In the Israeli Right we want to crush them faster. But Bibi is the decision point. But the above is a general deciton. There are still dead terrorists. Today we took out a Ring leader who was responsible to collapse a building which killed close to 20 IDF soldiers about a year ago. Also we took out a key inciter from their ideological religious Hamas members. I will also post an IDF video of some dead terrorists to make my point.
-Mr. Witkoff came up with a new deal. 10 living hostages and something like 16-18 dead bodies in two phases of a couple of weeks and around 120 released terrorists with life sentences and around a 1000 who were captured in Gaza post 10/7 and 60 days of a ceasefire. Plus a return of the old way of distributing the aid that gives them a grip on it.
Also a minor retreat of the IDF. In that time a permanent deal will be negotiated. Trump will personally announce the deal and guaranty the ceasefire. (note that it’s disgusting me that the President of the US should be directly involved in deals with a vile terror organization.
And sit and wait for their answers while they take their time intentionally).
This deal was approved by Israel and unofficially declined by Hamas but we are waiting for their final word. Waiting a couple of days now.
-In the past week there are signs of a dramatic weakening of Hamas which some think is close to their collapse and therefore some really don’t want the deal now that will save them again.
Specifically, Israel opened four aid distribution centers of aid. Hamas ordered not to go there and the public went there anyways. The fear barrier is breaking. Over a million meals were given out and you see some people thank Trump and even Israel.
Aid was the main way for Hamas to control the population and sell them aid and make money and pay salaries to their people.
The trucks that came otherwise, close to a 1000, were looted before their destination.
About 60% was taken by civilians before it arrived to Hamas. Again they lose control over the public.
-There was a couple of incidents where thousands looted their huge aid storage centers.
Despite them opening fire and killing a few. One of the centers was the size of an American Walmart and full of flour. So the people see that their scarcity and in some cases hunger is traced back to Hamas who is holding the necessities in storages. They look at the leaders in Qatar, living in five stars hotels with their bellies and those decide against deals with Israel. Deals that enable the flow of aid and end of death and destruction. We started to see people complaining about Hamas and want them out.
-A new armed group in South Gaza was established which aligns itself with US/Israeli interests and helped secure the new routes of aid. It’s only a few hundred people and they were already attacked by Hamas but it could signal a positive start as to a future solution for the people who will remain in Gaza. Immigration is not yet resolved. But the massive demolitions indicate that there is an intention to leave areas that no one can return to them and encourage the Trump plan of Gazans leaving the area while it is reconstructed.
Lebanon:
-Tens of IDF air attacks in south Lebanon in a couple of days. It is clear that Hezbollah with Iran are trying to re-arm the south and therefore the IDF is busy. They are avoiding responses as it is their strategy to quietly rebuild their might.
The World:
-Macron from France decided to lead the push against Israel. He is making statements of the necessity to recognize a Palestinian State and to squeeze Israel to help Gaza.
With him we see the British and Spain and others. Basically West Europe with the European Union are trying to reward Hamas with a State for committing the 10/7 atrocities.
In a few days there suppose to be a meeting in the West Bank of the Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Jordan and maybe Turkey about coordination for a Palestinian State recognition. It’s a preliminary step to a meeting in NY with many of the EU representatives too. Israel is considering to block the attendance into the West Bank meeting. A Palestinian State in the current state of mind of the Palestinians would be a suicide for Israel.
-The Defense Minster announce the approval of establishing 22 new settlements in the Judea and Samaria area. It is located strategically as to protect the East border, the border with Jordan. He said that “this is an answer to Macron, his recognition of Palestinian State will go into the trash bag of history”.
-The US is strongly on Israel’s side and “will not permit a one sided recognition of a Palestinian State in the UN which will award Hamas.”
Trump:
-Ordered stronger vetting of Visas to whoever is trying to enroll in Harvard.
-Admitted that he asked Bibi to avoid attacking Iran which could interrupt the negotiations.
-His optimism about a deal with Iran while Iran is adamant about their right to enrich is causing great concerns in Israel. We suspect that he wants an Obama 2 deal. That will keep the centrifuges running and release them billions of dollars to re-arm our enemies.
Their support of terrorism is not on the table apparently.
Note: An improved Obama deal will delay the problem. Not resolve it. But will create other problems. One of the definitions of a “sin” is: “A solution to a problem that creates other problems”. Remember this definition when making decisions. This eventually comes back at one and sometimes in a worse situation.
–Syria: Israel attacked at a port in Syria. Reports that there were storages of sea to land missiles that we don’t want to be in wring hands. Three killed in the attacks.
-Israeli Defense Minister said that “Hamas can choose the Witkoff deal or elimination”.
So for now all eyes are at the answer from Hamas while Israel is intensifying attacks to encourage them to let hostages go.

Note: Gaza was under the Pharaohs of Egypt for a very long time, also under the rule of ancient israel/Judea and had some also Jewish population and it was also under Philistines (those were Greeks, not Arabs not Palestinians). A bit of a history.

This week I got to thinking about how in Joshua 9:14 Israel made a bad mistake against some of their deceitful enemies. I have found the history of US military rations and field kitchens an interesting subject.
I have eaten the field rations from several different countries armies. This Italian ones have cognac in them.

If wanting a more analytical take on the realties of military rations I’ve found Steve1989MREinfo to be a solid resource.
I follow GSA ration auctions for the latest activity on the government front and keep a selection, mostly Wornick, along with my other emergency food supplies. No hard tack though, just biscuits and crackers.

A truly religious life is a life of constant joy. And we should rejoice more, if we prayed more. Prayer will help forward all lawful business, and every good work. If we pray without ceasing, we shall not want matter for thanksgiving in every thing. We shall see cause to give thanks for sparing and preventing, for common and uncommon, past and present, temporal and spiritual mercies. Not only for prosperous and pleasing, but also for afflicting providences, for chastisements and corrections; for God designs all for our good, though we at present see not how they tend to it.”

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
