House Republicans have inserted a provision into the recently passed One Big Beautiful Bill Act that could significantly limit judicial oversight of the executive branch. The provision, found on page 562 of the 1,118-page bill, would effectively remove judges’ ability to hold parties in contempt for defying court orders.
The new measure specifically targets injunctions and temporary restraining orders, requiring litigants to provide a security bond before a judge can exercise contempt powers. This requirement would apply to all orders, including those issued before the law’s enactment, potentially affecting numerous existing cases against the Trump administration.
My guess is the Senate DeceptiCon Republican Senators will delete page 562 from their bill!!! JMO

Here is an explanation of WHY there are not spending cuts in the Big Beautiful Bill from Stephen Miller:
“DOGE cuts are to discretionary spending. (Eg the federal bureaucracy). Under senate budget rules, you cannot cut discretionary spending (only mandatory) in a reconciliation bill.
So DOGE cuts would have to be done through what is known as a rescissions package or an appropriations bill.
The Big Beautiful Bill is NOT an annual budget bill and does not fund the departments of government.
It does not finance our agencies or federal programs.
Instead, it includes the single largest welfare reform in American history.
Along with the largest tax cut and reform in American history.
The most aggressive energy exploration in American history. And the strongest border bill in American history. All while reducing the deficit.”
So, Senators decrying the lack of spending cuts are being, as usual, DISINGENUOUS!

If you think reducing the deficit is the same as reducing the national debt, you would be wrong. After the BBB is passed the national debt will zoom past $42T which is why the credit rating was recently lowered. Miller is engaging in some doublespeak here.

Everything everyone wants has to come via rescission packages AND the new budget. I actually said all that way back in the beginning of all this.
What I think is that once the BBB is passed, the liars on the Hill get to work on the proper mechanics of CUTTING SPENDING and REDUCING THE DEFICIT… in combination with all the investment in the US, the boom that will come from the tax cuts…. I think that the USA will, indeed, experience a Golden Age.
In the end, the deficit will get reduced and government spending will be massively cut.
I only see one historical reference point where some cutting happened – Newt Gingrich’s Contract w America, w Clinton, and Perot in the wings as leverage.
The current planned cut of $9 Billion is an insult.

The Big Beautiful Bill is a “reconciliation bill” of the Budget and Continuing Resolution that was the Biden 2025 FY Budget which began last October. That’s why the numbers are based on Biden’s numbers because they were Biden’s numbers.
It’s about time someone from the Trump administration explained all this. So far, the media and democrats are spinning the tales of the BBB.
Why aren’t the administration p.r. people out there getting the truth and explanations to the people? This is a huge issue if every voter thinks the debt and or the deficit is going up and DOGE findings are not being acted upon. The people don’t know about recissions, etc.

A version of the REINS Act did make it into The Big Beautiful Bill. A big victory!
I wrote the J-REINS Act to rein in the national injunctions by District Federal judges. I wrote it to pass the Byrd rule. It could have been put in The Big Beautiful Bill, but I was not successful in convincing anyone to put it in there.
They did put Section 70302 in The Big Beautiful Bill that requires District Federal judges to collect a bond before issuing a national injunction and subsequent contempt; however, the judge can set the bond amount at $1, so it is meaningless. Congress chickened out.
J-REINS Act of 2025
An Act to Rein in Excessive Judicial Overreach and Preserve Executive Authority
Section 1. Short Title
This Act may be cited as the “Judicial Restraint on Excessive Injunctions Needing Scrutiny” or “J-REINS Act.”
Section 2. Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to prevent inferior federal courts from issuing nationwide injunctions that usurp or impinge upon the plenary powers of the Executive Branch, ensuring that judicial authority remains within its constitutional bounds and subject to democratic accountability.
Section 3. Limitation on Nationwide Injunctions
(a) Prohibition: No district court or circuit court of appeals may issue an injunction or equitable relief that:
(b) Scope: This limitation applies to all cases, including but not limited to immigration enforcement, personnel decisions, and regulatory funding allocations.
Section 4. Congressional Review and Approval
(a) Submission: If a federal court seeks to issue an injunction with nationwide effect or that impacts Executive plenary powers, the court must submit its proposed order to Congress within 10 days, along with a statement justifying its necessity and constitutional basis.
(b) Approval: Such an injunction shall not take effect unless approved by a joint resolution of Congress within 60 legislative days of submission. Absent congressional approval within 60 legislative days, the injunction is null and void. Pending such approval, the injunction shall apply only to the named parties in the case, and only in jurisdiction of the issuing court.
Section 5. Supreme Court Exception
This Act does not restrict the Supreme Court’s authority to issue nationwide relief, provided such relief adheres to constitutional limits on judicial power.
Section 6. Severability
If any provision of this Act is held invalid, the remainder shall not be affected and shall continue in full force and effect.
Section 7. Effective Date
This Act shall take effect 30 days after its enactment.
Great example of where posting a link to the exact verbiage section would help this interested reader greatly.
As to the larger view, in my opinion, based on analysis of past Communist action, they’ve already moved on to the next op so this closing of a loophole will be rendered moot. Communists are long consistent in changing tactics and utilizing loopholes that they created in law and process over many decades.
Imagine what evil can do when it creates the very rules that they, and we, supposedly are to adhere to in our ‘law and order’ Republic. That’s been going on far longer than I’ve been alive.

The damages bond is already required by the Federal Court Rules of procedure (but apparently ignored by the Courts or not requested by the DOJ lawyers. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the jurisdiction restriction.

I just read an article from the BBC that makes this whole Liverpool Car Killer saga even more bizarre, apparently the white British man initially identified as the driver was a local chap who had been mistakenly identified by an unknown X post.

ICE Arrests Illegal Alien from Mexico for Alleged Threat on Trump’s Life
An illegal alien has been taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after he allegedly threatened to assassinate President Donald Trump.
On Wednesday, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem revealed that ICE agents had arrested 54-year-old illegal alien Ramon Morales-Reyes of Mexico on May 22 after he threatened to kill the president.
