I believe parents have kept their children out of harms way by not giving them a religious background; who could they trust?? They can’t see the good works of the church in hospitals, schools, nursing homes, etc. Donations to local churches go to Rome now. Sorry, I’m a regular church goer and believer, but these are my personal observations. The politics in Rome are very similar to the politics of the world.

The Eastern Orthodox seems to have remained in the ‘original’ teaching more than the Roman Catholics have from my observations; I wait for a return to the ‘old’ ways.

Any of them. The fatal flaw of the Roman Church was to try and make itself “relevant to the times” while maintiaining control of its brand of religion (not the same as faith) through meddling in politics. They became part of what they outwardly opposed; Mammon (love of money/earthly power) gained the upper hand. Private revelations (which the Roman Church will neither favor nor oppose outwardly) reveal that the Church will soon endure her Calvary and “enter the tomb” so as to reemerge much reduced but far stronger in the faith. The UN, WEF, and the Vatican imposters can try, but hell will not prevail.
And yet it appears as only two national branches of the Eastern Orthodox faith are having issues with the Western Church.

The Crimea was never a part of the Ukraine until the Soviet Union decided to move it from one of it’s Soviet Socialist Republics into another Soviet Socialist Republics in 1954. Crimea was Russian since the late 1700s. There was no rebellion of Ukrainians in the Crimea clamoring to be reunited with the Ukraine since it was overwhelmingly “Russian” in every which way.
Maybe the Ukraine will return the large part of Poland that they have occupied since WWII, given to them by the Soviet Union?

NATO Secretary General hopes next month’s summit makes a “splash”
Concerning Chinese Communist “students” in Harvard and many other American universities…
I have told the story earlier, but that was sometime ago: my son toyed with the idea of medical school, after graduating with a Mathematics degree.
15 years ago or so, he went to the Medical School at the University of Southern California. Besides having “professors” whose pronunciation of English was too often incomprehensible and knowledge of its grammar was dreadful, the worst thing was the open cheating by Chinese students.
He discovered that there were cheating cells, very organized, and the Chinese cheated openly during examinations. American students were ignored, when they complained to their professors about this, and risked being called “racist” for their complaints.
The Chinese students were “using all their resources” and have “communal study habits.” “Chinese educational culture is different,” was the answer from the administration.
Completely disgusted, he dropped out after less than a year and went to a university back here in Ohio for an advanced degree in Mathematics and Computer Programming, where Communist Chinese Cheaters were absent.
“You can trust the Communists to be Communists!” was the slogan of Post-World War II Conservatives, and the name of a book famous at the time by an Australian physician named Frederick Schwarz.
His book is still relevant today!
Chinese students blatantly cheated in engineering school 35 years ago too.
A prominent educational facility with a med school and hospital…had a huge cheating cell in the nurse anesthetist program, back in 1998-99.
Beat me to it – Electronic Engineering in the 80s too.
A lot of Americans don’t seem to understand about cheating cultures.

Qualifying for VA benefits was hard enough even with a DD214. I remember the A&A (aid and attendance) nightmare I went through for my mother.
I fear the time has passed for merchant mariners of past conflicts and posit the face of war has changed significantly since those times, irrespective of the fiscal realities these days.
Fortunately, we have for a long time honored those merchant mariners who gave that full and final measure of devotion to their country on this solemn day.
I remember recently reading about Jackie Cochran unsuccessfully lobbying to make WASPs part of the military as they were civilian female pilots flying, as part of their mission, military planes, ferrying them, into harm’s way. They, like many civilians during the war, including merchant mariners, directly supported military operations like the mariners operating civilian vessels in waters subject to war operations.
I can only speak for my parents, an Army grunt in Italy and a bomber builder in San Diego, and they never thought much about benefits, only making the contribution to the war effort. I ramrodded the A&A because I believed, since my dad never used any VA benefits, mom could use some help as she slowly died of dementia, and combat veteran survivors qualified.
She would have never applied. Not her style. They weren’t unique in a generation that epitomized those JFK words, ‘ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country‘
When I lived in Florida, I met in my Sunday School class a lady who had ferried planes to bases, she didn’t mention that she was a WASP. Also in that class was a guy who was Eisenhower’s aide and driver, who sent his messages.

Sadly, I believe liners have had their time. The whole matrix of water-borne transport has changed and become more specialized and long distance fast passenger transport is pretty much all in the skies, with intermodal generally taking over cargo.
I was fortunate to sail the old France a couple times after NCL converted it and, even as a cruise ship it was a far different experience than more modern purpose built cruisers we sailed, particularly on the open sea in bad weather.
Since its power was essentially cut in half (turbines not used) for cruising, we only got a taste of what the real deal was like. SS United States was like that. A greyhound on the seas. Very utilitarian and unlike the ornate liners of the past.
I applaud PDJT’s focus on rebuilding our ship construction infrastructure. It’s sad, and IMO dangerous, how much China has taken over global shipbuilding. I just don’t believe passenger vessels will be a part of that.

AT THE FRONT LINES IN ITALY, January 10, 1944 – In this war I have known a lot of officers who were loved and respected by the soldiers under them. But never have I crossed the trail of any man as beloved as Capt. Henry T. Waskow of Belton, Texas.
Capt. Waskow was a company commander in the 36th Division. He had led his company since long before it left the States. He was very young, only in his middle twenties, but he carried in him a sincerity and gentleness that made people want to be guided by him.
“After my own father, he came next,” a sergeant told me.
“He always looked after us,” a soldier said. “He’d go to bat for us every time.”
“I’ve never knowed him to do anything unfair,” another one said.
I was at the foot of the mule trail the night they brought Capt. Waskow’s body down. The moon was nearly full at the time, and you could see far up the trail, and even part way across the valley below. Soldiers made shadows in the moonlight as they walked.
Dead men had been coming down the mountain all evening, lashed onto the backs of mules. They came lying belly-down across the wooden pack-saddles, their heads hanging down on the left side of the mule, their stiffened legs sticking out awkwardly from the other side, bobbing up and down as the mule walked.
The Italian mule-skinners were afraid to walk beside dead men, so Americans had to lead the mules down that night. Even the Americans were reluctant to unlash and lift off the bodies at the bottom, so an officer had to do it himself, and ask others to help.
The first one came early in the morning. They slid him down from the mule and stood him on his feet for a moment, while they got a new grip. In the half light he might have been merely a sick man standing there, leaning on the others. Then they laid him on the ground in the shadow of the low stone wall alongside the road.
I don’t know who that first one was. You feel small in the presence of dead men, and ashamed at being alive, and you don’t ask silly questions.
We left him there beside the road, that first one, and we all went back into the cowshed and sat on water cans or lay on the straw, waiting for the next batch of mules.
Somebody said the dead soldier had been dead for four days, and then nobody said anything more about it. We talked soldier talk for an hour or more. The dead man lay all alone outside in the shadow of the low stone wall.
Then a soldier came into the cowshed and said there were some more bodies outside. We went out into the road. Four mules stood there, in the moonlight, in the road where the trail came down off the mountain. Two men unlashed his body from the mule and lifted it off and laid it in the shadow beside the low stone wall. Other men took the other bodies off. Finally there were five lying end to end in a long row, alongside the road. You don’t cover up dead men in the combat zone. They just lie there in the shadows until somebody else comes after them.
The unburdened mules moved off to their olive orchard. The men in the road seemed reluctant to leave. They stood around, and gradually one by one I could sense them moving close to Capt. Waskow’s body. Not so much to look, I think, as to say something in finality to him, and to themselves. I stood close by and I could hear.
One soldier came and looked down, and he said out loud, “God damn it.” That’s all he said, and then he walked away. Another one came. He said, “God damn it to hell anyway.” He looked down for a few last moments, and then he turned and left.
Another man came; I think he was an officer. It was hard to tell officers from men in the half light, for all were bearded and grimy dirty. The man looked down into the dead captain’s face, and then he spoke directly to him, as though he were alive. He said: “I’m sorry, old man.”
Then a soldier came and stood beside the officer, and bent over, and he too spoke to his dead captain, not in a whisper but awfully tenderly, and he said:
“I sure am sorry, sir.”
Then the first man squatted down, and he reached down and took the dead hand, and he sat there for a full five minutes, holding the dead hand in his own and looking intently into the dead face, and he never uttered a sound all the time he sat there.
And finally he put the hand down, and then reached up and gently straightened the points of the captain’s shirt collar, and then he sort of rearranged the tattered edges of his uniform around the wound. And then he got up and walked away down the road in the moonlight, all alone.

yes that is true, that we have observed many many more times from democrats/lawfare. but lets also be transparent. when the republicans were trying to thwart a series of obama executive orders, they did not hesitate to both court shop and file for injunctions…examples: Obama care..terminating federal land leases for oil and gas exploration…and several others.
the problem as these two articles outline, is that nationwide injunctions exist as a thing because Congress simply refuses to make clear the law. Likewise, leaving it up to SCOTUS each and every time, when there is arguably a much more fundamental constitutional issue here (do lower courts really HAVE the power to issue nationwide injunctions against a Presidents’ executive powers?), is throwing the dice. And in my opinion, this should be settled finally and not left as a political football.
this position (my opinion), also means that only congress may levy suits to restrain a president..whether by constitutional enactment of new law (revisions) or more deliberately in cases of extreme …impeachment.
we may not like the presidents’ powers…especially when we get elections defrauded and the likes of Joe malarkey are installed and Lisa monaco’s are using the autopen. and that should have been solved by impeachment. But the idea fundamentally that either side can go court shopping and use these nationwide TRO’s and injunctions is just another form of political weaponization. a solid ruling would look something like this: one person, one rule. Do these third party lawfare types have standing to represent persons? and if so, why are they not required by the courts to list their names, show irreparablle harm and prove in court that the persons have rights to appeal the actions of a President. Dr Malone has years of experience within the medical research field, medical and scientific ethics, DOD, etc. I read his commentary, and respect his opinion. I do not always come to the same conclusions, but value his input on topics he is more familiar with than I.
I respect and admire Nicole. She is curious, intelligent, and a fighter for her beliefs and her daughter, who is autistic. I fo.low her commentary just as I do Dr Malone’s.
I reject the notion that one person is absolutely correct and another must have “evil intent” because there is disagreement. The public has been lied to, and so much information polluted/distorted, that absolutes are hard to come by. There are strong beliefs on all aspects of many different issues, lots os passion, and for many a sense of betrayal searching for someone to blame. And Suspicious Cat is lurking behind every bush. Rightly so.
MAHA is a movement brought together by many disparate voices who feel betrayed and ignored by Big Pharma/Big Food/govt regulators who we assumed were protecting us from the “bad guys” but were instead lining their pockets. The movement will invariably have splinters within who have different goals and different villains. Distemper/Parvo vaccines and Rabies vaccines are given way to frequently. I’ve conducted countless rabies and distemper/Parvo virus titers… I have never seen a failed titer. I have never seen a rabies titer that didn’t meet WHO guidelines.
Also, some pets have severe reactions to vaccines and can’t ever get them again.
I am willing to bet after the pets first annual, most vaccines are unnecessary completely.

Webb points to a chilling example from the COVID-19 era in Rhode Island, where then-Governor Gina Raimondo greenlit a partnership with Diagnostic Robotics, an Israeli company tasked with using state health data to predict COVID-19 outbreaks. The goal?
To identify “hot spots” and trigger localized lockdowns, restricting commerce and freedom of movement. Yet, as Webb uncovered, the algorithm’s accuracy—touted by the company at roughly 70-80%—was never independently vetted.
“What if it’s closer to 60% or 50%?” she asks. “That’s no better than a coin toss, yet we’re handing over immense power to these systems, with real consequences for people’s lives.”
This case raises profound questions about the reliability of AI and the motives behind its adoption. Webb notes that Diagnostic Robotics’ use of health data, even if “anonymized,” likely skirted HIPAA protections under emergency COVID-19 justifications.
The opacity of these decisions—coupled with the company’s ties to broader tech and security networks—underscores a dangerous trend: private-sector AI, often backed by multimillion-dollar contracts with the national security state, is being sold as a public good without scrutiny.
“When companies with deep conflicts of interest are shaping policy and decision-making, we need to ask who benefits,” Webb argues. The hype surrounding AI, she warns, has created a public perception that algorithms are inherently smarter, more efficient, and more cost-effective than human judgment.
This narrative, fueled by industry PR and amplified by a complicit media, obscures the reality: many AI systems are unproven, prone to errors, and deployed without rigorous oversight.
In Rhode Island, an unverified algorithm could have dictated who could leave their homes or keep their businesses open—a power Webb deems “terrifying” when accuracy is questionable and accountability absent.
At the heart of Webb’s critique is the erosion of civil liberties, a process she sees as opportunistic and accelerating. The national security state, long adept at exploiting crises to curtail freedoms, has found a willing partner in Silicon Valley.
Together, they form a “fused blob” that operates with impunity, shielded by claims of proprietary technology and national interest. “This isn’t about stifling innovation,” Webb emphasizes. “It’s about ensuring that innovation doesn’t become a trojan horse for surveillance and control.”
Webb’s call to action is clear: the public must demand transparency and independent validation of AI systems before they’re entrusted with life-altering decisions. From local governments to federal agencies, outsourcing to algorithms without rigorous debate is a recipe for disaster.
She urges Americans to question the narratives pushed by tech giants and their government allies, to scrutinize conflicts of interest, and to prioritize civil liberties over blind faith in AI’s promise.
