Very well said, dear Bet. Agree entirely. Even after all of my years, I still find performances like this entirely compelling. I distinctly remember my first hearing of a Segovia concert in Houston’s Jones Hall. It was a wonderful experience . . . which as I soon discovered was shared by an entire row of fellow guitar enthusiasts. I had only been playing for a few months but that experience made me decide that classical guitar was to be my life-goal. Israel Update:
The report is a bit long, it is starting gloomy and ends optimistic so don’t be discouraged before the end. I think that this report is somewhat educational so I hope it will make you more knowledgeable than those who didn’t read it.
Trump: In recent days there is a shift in US policy that is causing a spectrum of reactions in Israel, from anxiety in the Government to a feeling of betrayal in the right, to mocking the right by the left as “Your messiah Trump is stepping on you, another mess-up of Bibi, you will miss Biden. Ha, Ha…” that is what you see in the main media.
One of my right wing Telegran channels which I see there reactions are from complete disdain of “how Trump is becoming a pacifist like the progressives”, to Biblical explanation of prophesies that “everyone will turn on Israel,” to explaining it all away and blaming Bibi for “not being compatible with Trump’s speed of action”.
I myself went through the emotional spectrum and waited in order to be chill enough and informed enough to write about it fairly.
So what are the facts that are causing the reactions and I would kindly ask you to withhold any strong reaction till you read my explanations.
-Trump’s sudden withdrawal from bombing the Houthis. The timing just after they bombed the Israeli International Air Port and threatened to increase attacks. His statement that they “capitulated and will not attack ships”. When they say “American ships” and not “all ships”. This defeats the original purpose of the bombing “to open the International shipping routes”.
We are yet to see if they will leave other ships alone? Following are celebrations in Yemen of how “they defeated the US and next is Israel”. Following today is a ballistic missile at Tel Aviv and central Israel followed by a drone. Both intercepted. I will respond to this later. Hang on.
-Trump says that he is in a complete opposition of an Iranian nuclear weapon program.
He talks about the dismantling of the centrifuges. Mr. Kickoff talks about reduction of the level of enrichment rather than dismantling and he is “happy that the Iranians are cooperative somewhat”. Next day he shifts and says “no enrichment”. VP of the US just said “no enrichment capabilities”. The Iranians oppose it. He says they “can have nuclear power plants but no enrichment”. He says “there are no nations who have enrichment facilities and no nuclear bombs”. Bear with me as I will explain the subject shortly later here.
Israel is sure that the Iranians will try to manipulate the US to let them have the centrifuges for enrichment still intact. It takes a couple of weeks to enrich to weapon grade uranium.
There are reports on Main US media that Trump is heading to an “Obama deal number two”.
-Trump is about to tour to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE. He didn’t want to stop in Israel too and his Defense Secretary just canceled a trip to Israel. He will also be in the Arab nations.
Trump is expected to sign a weapon deal with the Saudis for over a hundred billion dollars and some commitment that they will invest in the US in order of some 800 billions.
It is reported that they demanded a civil nuclear plant that the US will provide. Past Administrations and Trump was conditioning a deal with the Saudis in them Normalizing relations with Israel and now it appears that Trump will leave Israel out of the equation and let them have a nuclear plant. This is yet to be published but was leaked.
-Trump Administration announced a humanitarian aide program in Gaza at some four locations involving US companies and Arab aide. This is coordinated with Israel.
-Some reports that there is pressure on Israel to cut a deal now with Hamas as to have a win for Trump before his trip. For sure the US is asking to hold off the intensifying of the war while he is on his trip. Israel appears to agree to this.
-Mr. Dermer (Bibi’s main aide) just visited the White House and met Trump and all the involved in order to present the Israeli positions on the above matters.
Technical Analysis:
First let’s make sure that the terms are understood.
Nuclear Centrifuge- A devise that looks like a large standing aluminum Air condition duct,
it causes a circular motion that is used to produce enriched uranium.
Enriched Uranium – A uranium which went through a chemical process that made it suitable to operate a nuclear power plant or to make a nuclear bomb.
To produce power the level of enrichment is up to about 5%. To make a bomb it takes around 90%. It takes a few weeks to move from low levels to high levels.
Iran has 60% enriched uranium according to International Agency (this year they increased to this level) and in a quantity for some 6 nuclear bombs if they choose to do it. It’s a couple or weeks if they choose to go forward to a bomb level but they will need other components. Fox News just exposed another secret facility. We don’t openly know what’s in there. It’s a cause of concern.
Attacking enriched uranium will not cause a nuclear explosion, as an explosion requires a specific kind of technology, but can disperse and cause contamination in the area.
Can a nuclear power plant be operated without centrifuges? Yes. But the nation operating it will need to buy enriched uranium from a third country, there are such examples.
Will the Saudis get to build their own centrifuges? This appears to be a point of contention with the US. Previous Administrations didn’t agree in order to prevent a military use of the plant. The Saudis insisted on enriching. It is yet to be known what is Trump agreeing to if at all. If Trump will agree to let them enrich uranium, this would put the Middle East into a nuclear race and Israel into a path to a war with the Saudis, as we can’t have a Muslim dictatorship with nuclear capabilities by us.
Do they need nuclear power? No. They have plenty of energy.
If they are just wanting it to compete with the UAE who have a plant, then ok. It could be just about “ego.” If they want bombs then it’s bad and what’s in question here is the intention. Technically they financed a lot of the Pakistani nuclear program so they could just get nukes from them or knowledge and capabilities from them.
The latest US position on the subject of Iran.
So it appears that the US is on our side but we know how manipulative the Iranians are and we know how much Trump wants to avoid the military route and we saw Witkoff flips on it from “less enrichment” to “no”. We saw Trump say about “less enrichment ” that he willing to listen but it doesn’t make much sense”.
The Historical perspective:
The “America First” has a long history that the Israelis are not seeing clearly.
Expensive wars in terms of lives and money that appeared not necessary are in the American collective memory. Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc…
Wars that were originated mainly by RINOs and influenced by the Globalists and Military Industrial complex. American are looking at the local situations of drug epidemic and illegal immigration and Progressive takeover of America and say “no foreign wars”. This is understood and makes sense. But any decision based on past trauma may cloud judgment in present time. I just wanted to say that I understand.
The biblical Perspective : If you say “God will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you” (ie. Always support Israel) then it is simple. It’s straightforward.
The Ethical Moral Perspective :
What is right and wrong? A good decision or bad one? Ethical or not Ethical?
There were many schools of thought. Ayn Rand was all about “self”. It is called “Ethical egoism”. She was wrong!
Sigmond Freud was all about sex and the family. He was wrong!
Communists and in some cases any patriots were all about the Nation or the organization. They were wrong!
The Pacifist was all about “humanity”. It is wrong!
You have the materialist who thinks it is all about matter and energy and money. Wrong.
You have the Spiritualist and the Religious who say it’s all about God and Spirit.
A good Ethical decision is good not only for self and bad for wife and family, nor good for nation and bad for self, nor good for nation and bad for family and self.
A good Ethical decision is good for most of the above spheres and for the longest time.
It’s easy to prove but it would be too long here. You can test it on any example. What is good for “now” and bad for later is not good. What is good for “me” and bad for wife, kids, neighbors is not good. What is good for a nation and destroys other nations is not good.
So a look at America First or Israel First is only good when it does good for the most areas and for the long term. One is not alone in the world and there are interrelations.
People who operate only for themselves will not understand the above.
Isolation type interpretation of America First would end bad. It’s not how the universe works.
The reason I got into it is to expand your thinking of what America First means and alert against what it’s not. For example a nuclear reactor for Saudi Arabia with enrichment capabilities may be good for the US if you get a lot of money and it’s good for the short run. But if it destroys Israel, causes a nuclear race in the Middle East, betrays a friend, bad for humanity as a whole, against God, would it be really the best for America?
I hope it had some value and its not too much philosophy for your taste and I hope you didn’t take it as undermining America First but rather as expanding on it.
Latest of the day: Mr Witkoff just came with a statement of “We want the nuclear enrichment facilities of Iran dismantled”. I guess my “screams” or the “evangelicals voice” ot Mr Ron Dermer reached Trump and Mr. Witkoff responded.
For Conclusion: All that matters for me in all of the above and what I will pray for is that the Iranian nuclear program will be destroyed one way or another and that Trump will not let the Saudis have an enrichment capability.
I can be happy for the US if it gets a good deal with the Saudis so long as it is not going to create dependency or Saudi influence on US matters in the future. Normalization with Israel and the Saudis is not doable in the war atmosphere so I will not be disappointed if we skip it for now. But I hope Trump will not slide over to the Arab Qatari side of trying to stop the war while letting Hamas survive.
The US attacks on the Houthis are questionable as to America First and I was surprised that it even started. So while it was very good for israel I don’t see the stoping of it as a betrayal.
I hope the US will continue to intercept missies and drones which are coming from there to us. It would be an act of a friend. It saves lives. It’s much easier to intercept there than over Israel.
A lot of the bad vibe from Israel is by media who do not understand the nuclear subject or plain anti Bibi agenda and anti Trump Liberals.
I pray for Trump to succeed and stay on the right path and the pro-Israel path.

The nuclear threat that Iran poses to Israel is a simple premise:
If Iran is permitted to keep enriching uranium to nuclear-weapon purity and is able to build nuclear weapons, they may choose to totally annihilate several major cities in Israel. Depends solely on how fanatical they are.
Even shy of weapon-grade enrichment, Iran already has enough uranium to construct a multitude of “dirty bombs” that could render many cities unlivable.
Shy of constructing their own nuclear weapon, there might also be a possibility Iran can acquire a nuclear weapon from another country, for example North Korea or Pakistan.
I don’t know the likelihood or reality of that, it’s just a point of speculation

There must be some International agreement about not selling nukes. An agreement that includes nations like North Korea and Pakistan. Also Israel is a nuclear superpower and the Iranians will think twice before attacking Israel with nukes. I posted about it before but we have what is called “The Samson Option” which means we take others down with us if we are about to be extinct. Like Samson did when he took down the building on himself. God help us from ever being in that situation. Israel can deploy nukes from the air, though ballistic missiles and through submarines.

The Syrians for decades were the cruelest of our enemies – Syria got destroyed with close to a million dead and millions destroyed and long Civil War.
Iraq attacked Israel, its leader was killed and it went through a major war and disintegration of power.
Libya who hosted Palestinian terrorists and was a big enemy got disintegrated and their leader dead.
USSR who was an active player against Israel and train and arm our enemies was disintegrated.

David: This week’s reports about President Trump “splitting” from Bibi is all posturing, diplomatic smoke and media spin. For the upcoming Trump meetings with the Arabs, Trump wants to appear “tough on Israel.” Also, to be bombing muslims in Yemen at the same time he is meeting with muslims in Saudi Arabia would not be a good look, so, Trump stopped the bombings.

Biography: Confederate general during the American Civil War, and one of the best-known Confederate commanders after General Robert E. Lee.
The nickname of “Stonewall” has been attributed to fellow Confederate General Barnard Bee at the First Battle of Bull Run in 1861. Bee, however, was mortally wounded and whether the reference was a compliment or an insult was never explained.
Military historians consider Jackson to be one of the most gifted tactical commanders in U.S. history.

John Wesley Hyatt

American inventor who simplified the production of celluloid, dies at 82
Biography: John Wesley Hyatt is an American inventor, credited with simplifying the production of an early form of plastic which he patented as Celluloid. Celluloid quickly became popular and is still used today, particularly in the production of various consumer goods, such as combs, eyeglass frames, and film.
Hyatt began seeking an alternative to ivory as a material for billiard balls. He began researching and experimenting with a variety of materials, such as nitrocellulose and camphor, in the late 1860s. In 1869, Hyatt was finally able to produce a plastic material he called celluloid.
Hyatt also received a number of other patents, including the first injection moulding machine, sugarcane milling, juice extraction, and roller bearings.
Now an English one that is a year old… hum, wonder how that happened.

2012 Carroll Shelby, American auto racer who won LeMans 1959; and automobile designer Ford Shelby Mustang, Shelby GT, Dodge Shelby Charger, Dodge Viper, dies at 89
As an automotive designer, he is known for developing the Ford GT40 along with racing legend Ken Miles, which won at Le Mans in 1966, 1967, 1968 and 1969. As of 2024, it remains the only American built car ever to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

COMMENTARY FOR 1 CORINTHIANS 9
“The apostle shows his authority, and asserts his right to be maintained. (1-14) He waved this part of his Christian liberty, for the good of others. (15-23) He did all this, with care and diligence, in view of an unfading crown. (24-27)”
(24-27) “The apostle compares himself to the racers and combatants in the Isthmian games, well known by the Corinthians. But in the Christian race all may run so as to obtain. There is the greatest encouragement, therefore, to persevere with all our strength, in this course. Those who ran in these games were kept to a spare diet. They used themselves to hardships. They practised the exercises. And those who pursue the interests of their souls, must combat hard with fleshly lusts. The body must not be suffered to rule. The apostle presses this advice on the Corinthians. He sets before himself and them the danger of yielding to fleshly desires, pampering the body, and its lusts and appetites. Holy fear of himself was needed to keep an apostle faithful: how much more is it needful for our preservation! Let us learn from hence humility and caution, and to watch against dangers which surround us while in the body.”

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
