Afternoon dear Bet. I have a bit of good news. . . I weighed this morning (new digital scale!). I’m down to 177.2lbs, a 50+ lb weight loss. Blood pressure is reduced, blood wk is normal, echo cardio is good. Cardiologist is pleased. I’m down almost 3 waist sizes. Haven’t seen 177 since 2000 or so.

Been there, done that . . . 40 plus years of finals. 🙂 Came across a very early grad-school final paper evaluation from a long ago prof. It was two pages, single spaced, very thorough analysis of my baby step theorizing. Sigh. Sure brought back some memories. Be well, love. 🙂
Good evening Garrison. I’ve been doing TA for her for about 5 years. She teaches English to the new students coming in from High School and she teaches American Sign Language as an approved credit language course for first year students. I grade a lot of her English Workbook assignments, and different tests through the semester.
The finals I grade are the written section of the ASL Class. It’s a history of the ASL Language. To better grade it, I took the final exam after reading the required text she assigned.
She has to grade the video portion of the ASL final. I know the alphabet and some songs we do in church, but that is the extent of my actual, hands on ASL knowledge.
Saw your comment to Betsy. I am so glad your health is doing so well and you are feeling good.
Last year was my bad year, stroke in March and then four weeks later fell and broke my hip. Now I have a titanium right hip ball joint and a piece that goes down inside my thigh bone. Good news is I am doing everything I was doing before and walking without any equipment to assist me.
Glad I could bring back some memories. Thank you I will be well and prayers to you, and I will continue to pray your health remains good.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

Just came through a year long harrowing event with evil, my responses always using words of the Bible. Nightly prayers always include putting on God’s armor.
Early Easter morning, with no fear, I leaned into an attack of physical evil. Staring evil in the eyes, evil backed down. Oddly bold, I had put a foot forward, raised my chin, looked straight into the evil one’s face. Evil backed off and collapsed into a heap.
God truly intervened, in real time.
God is real.
